Well… it is in the right category«dive bars». Beer is in cans as no taps, no food, nice pool tables and very friendly people! Prices are extremely reasonable and it all fits together as a proper dive bar.

Cash only, dive bar with super cheap drinks, bartender is very friendly, the juke box has lots of selections, they let you bring your own food too!

I had a group of friends from out of the area and they wanted a local place with good drinks and good prices. Unilocal lead me here. I remembered the place from working nearby, and we were no disappointed. Reasonable prices, two pool tables, and absolutely NO attitude. We will be back for sure.

Owners are great nice folks. Cold beer, good music selection and pool tables. A definite go back and hang out spot.

Never thought I would go here, but super glad I did. Weird layout, not the cleanest, but I don’t care in a spot like this. ALWAYS great prices and pool tables. You honestly can’t beat the prices here. If you’re going out with some friends and don’t care to meet anyone new this is your spot!

This fits the stereotypical definition of DIVEBAR. Great cheap pours, beer in bottles — no taps, bar stools and two pool tables. two wide screens with sports events playing constantly. Smoking out back. Free parking. Really badly lit. Local pool sharks bring their sticks to demonstrate their skills. Real plus-size women of ALL ages EVERY night. Friendly barkeeper. Go Up th’ Hill.

This place is as dive-y as dive bars get: which is either good or bad, depending on your tolerance for that kind of scene. I will say that parking was easy, the bartenders and locals were friendly, and the shots were generous. But the size of the place is pretty small. If you like pool, this seems to be a nice stomping ground. There are quite a few trophies on display and the talent seemed higher than average. There are TVs if you want to catch up on your sports, a jukebox, and panties on the ceiling for you to wonder about… among other miscellaneous bumper-sticker worthy signs, nascar lights, and nick-naks.

I love Up th’ Hill. Dani and John a great purveyors and take great care of their loyal following. Ryan, Tibby, Jenna and Ashley make sure your class or bottle is never empty. For the lucky ones, stop by on any given holiday and John’s probably cooking up a feast for the masses. This man is talented behind the BBQ and should seriously consider getting the place next door and expand it into a restaurant/bar. Honestly, he’s a gourmet with food. Pool is free most nights, definitely on Saturday nights. There are 2 tables, one is regulation bar-size and the other one is a bigger table. It’s a pool-heavy bar so expect a wait to shoot. But, people are friendly and while you’re waiting, grab a dirt cheap beverage. Beers are around $ 3 and well-drinks are less than $ 4. For $ 20 there is no reason not to be pretty well tanked. The bartenders have cabs on speed dial so there’s no reason to drink and drive. Local law-enforcement definitely frowns on that. Great bar, great people, great prices. Just great!

In a word: YUK. I felt like I needed hand sanitizer the moment I walked into this bar. We came here in search of a new local watering hole after the sad demise of The Mix and couldn’t have been more disappointed. There was not even basic bar nosh available, nay, in fact, no food to be had save a bag of expired Funyuns. Could not get a shot at the pool table for cash or fabulous prizes. Bartender had no personality at all, but judging by the extremist right-wing bumper stickers slathered all over the bar mirror, I don’t think I would want to know anyway. We won’t be back, but I certainly won’t lose any sleep over it.

Really like this dive bar… except when I went all they played was Country music. yeah, not a fan… but still, free pool and cheap strong drinks… and the patrons were nice — even though we sooo didnt fit in with our high heels and dressed-up look.

The first time you walk into Up Th’ Hill, you’ll be wondering what you’ve gotten yourself into. The décor is non-existent, save for a few beer company decorations. The walls and ceiling show the results of decades upon decades of cigarette smoke.(It’s smoke-free now.) The linoleum on the floor is worn down to wood in places. The patrons even look like they’ve seen better days.(I know I do.) But spend a few minutes in the place, and you’ll soon meet a friendly bartender, and chances are the guy or gal at the bar next to you will strike up a conversation. The banter among the regulars and the bartender is entertaining, and if they start including you in the mock trash talking, you’ll know they consider you a friend. I’ve been going to Up Th’ Hill for nearly 20 years, and don’t recall ever seeing a fight, despite the somewhat seedy appearance of the place and its customers. It’s a true workingman’s neighborhood bar. The drink prices are rock-bottom, but poured generously. The pool tables vary in condition… they are resurfaced from time to time to keep them in decent enough shape for various pool league games. The jukebox is connected to the Interwebs, so the music selection is huge.(And there’s a good chance you’ll hear Frank Sinatra mixed with hip-hop or The Eagles. Ya just never know.) This is probably not the best place in town for a romantic glass of wine with your significant other, but it’s a great place to party with friends, or to hang out solo and chat with some interesting people.

Went here for the first time last night. This is a bar where everyone knows each other. The bartender was really nice, the locals were friendly, and the drinks are dirt cheap. Plus, the jukebox is pretty good too. And there’s two tv’s. Good stuff. I’ll definately get drunk here again if I’m in the area. In fact, I’m writing a review with a hangover courtesy of this place.

Went at about 8pm on a Friday night with my husband and a friend. We walked in and the first thing that struck me was the silence. No conversation, no glasses clinking, no music. We were immediately asked for ID by the friendly bartender, even as two grade-school children in plaid uniforms and polo shirts came giggling out from the back and took their places BEHIND the bar. The boy, about 7, kept threatening to spray us with the soda gun unless we produced ID, which of course we did immediately. Three whiskey-and-cokes were only $ 9.50, which was a major plus. There are two pool tables, an electric darts game, and a counter with a crock pot, microwave, and industrial fan in the corner. Spider webs and neon signs grace the walls. The word«dive» does not really do it justice. That being said, we had a good time. A few more people stumbled in over the two hours we were there, and eventually some music came on and it was a little more lively. I would not recommed going here to meet people or on a date — only with close friends that you know can entertain each other.

Good place to meet a neighbor, make a new friend or add a new«Mike» to your life. Cheap cold beer, bar stools that hold you up and free parking. Go enjoy and be happy with your buzz and money left in your wallet.

This place doesn’t deserve the compliment of being a dive(at least not the way dive is used now to describe bars). Very small place, inhabited by retirees. Basic beers, dilapidated pool table and sports playing on ancient TV’s. I went one weekend for happy hour and seriously doubt I will be back to see if an actual crowd shows up.

We just discovered this place on one of our rare«date nights» out without baby. Love the vibe… very chill and inexpensive, and totally unassuming locals. We’ll most definitely be back.

This is one of the best dives ever. Ryan is the best bartender and even though there are«usuals» they are always welcoming to us «almost usuals» and together we are stand offish yet respectful to the«non usuals» that mosey into Up Th’ Hill. It is dirt cheap to drink here, the juke box is legendary, there’s a pool table, and a banquet table with slow cookers. Need I saw more?
