George is amazing! He has tinted at least 4 of our cars over the years and I would never go anywhere else! His work is top notch and he is an expert in his craft. We even got pulled over for having our windows tinted too dark (my decision) and he took them off and put them back on in the same day for a minimal fee since he was the one who originally put them on, which was more than fair! He is cash only so that is always good to know. If you want quality window tinting go see George you will not be disappointed!

George is the best in the business! I searched all over San Diego and no one could even come close to George’s price and expertise. Not only did he make my 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth look amazing, he asked me to come back two weeks later for a «touch up» to make sure it was PERFECT. George takes great pride in his work, is a nice and funny man and this is easily the best tint job I’ve ever had. Look no further, folks! I will be coming to George for years and years.

Great service! I had to have my driver and front passenger windows de-​tinted (from previous owner). I brought the car in, went for a coffee, 30 mins later all done and very reasonable price. Highly recommend LJ.

Although George was a little bit difficult to reach to set an appointment time, I am super happy with the quality of his work and appreciated the fair price. I went with the darkest Geo Tint for my 2014 Subaru per his recommendation and it looks great! Also makes a big difference for my kids riding in the back seats :-)

Awesome guy and top quality work. I was calling around looking to tint my front windows, and George was the most helpful over the phone and offered the lowest price. I hung out with him while he did it, and the conversation was as good as the finished product. My last tint job had some pretty noticeable gaps on the edge, and George got my tint nearly to the edge — it looks flawless. Good guy and great service, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

We loved Jorge and the job he did on our 1980 Volkswagen Vanagon. When we told him we’d be traveling Central and South America, he knew just what we needed– ceramic limo tint on the back and 3m Crystalline on the front. In the last 12 hours
we’ve had 2 friends ask for his number after they saw our Ursula (the van’s name). She’s way cooler inside. The price was great and the service was too. Jorge clearly loves what he does and is damn good at it too.

LJ Window Tinting is hands down best tint shop in all of San Diego. I had went by a couple places and didn’t feel good about the atmosphere, the quote or the knowledge of the representatives. I was referred to George at LJ Window Tinting and really wish this had been my first call. He has a lot of experience, quality materials, is extremely reasonable and provides lifetime warranty on his work. I have a 4 door VW, had the 5 windows done and my car looks amazing. Only place I will go for auto tinting ever again.

I just got my Acura TL tinted by George at LJ, and I couldn’t be more satisfied! The tint looks exactly the way I wanted, and is making a huge difference on hot sunny days. From what I can tell George only uses high-​quality dependable brands, and he does a good job of showing you your options and guiding you towards the best option.
Don’t be intimidated by the «mom and pop» look of the building. George treats the customer with kindness, is very flexible on scheduling appointments, and most importantly stands by his work!

George is The Man. He’s the local Michelangelo of window tinting. Just moved here and needed some tinting to manage all this wonderful sun. Called George to make an appointment for the following day. Enjoyed an hour or so at bird rock coffee roasters (a block away) while George did his thing. It’s been a few weeks now and the tinting makes a huge difference. He did a great job. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.
His location is not obvious. Going north on la Jolla blvd, make a right into the BMW dealer, George has one door and basically a closet for his tools. George is the dude with plenty of hair. He’s a cool guy to chat with. Thanks George!

I’ve been getting my windows tinted by LJ Window Tinting for many years now. My last 3 cars were done here and I couldn’t be happier each visit. George is awesome and his skills is top notch. I checked all over San Diego and everyone was out of their f in mind on what they wanted to charge. This place beats all those places by a mile! Wanted two small side windows on a Scion XD everyone wanted $ 249. Down to $ 115. George did it for $ 50.00 and is excellent and does it like a art project. Go anywhere else and your throwing your money away.

I was recommended to go to this place to get my windows tinted. I called and asked if I could set an appointment to have my car estimated to get it tinted, we agree that I just come in at 3:30 and just have it done. I met up with George and he took a look at my car, and asked what percentage tint i wanted. I just knew I wanted my car to look good with a nice tint, but still manage to see at night without it looking to pitch black. He gave me his professional opinion on the tint shade and I agreed with his choice. He had to keep my car for a little while but he said he will call me once he get the last couple of details on the tint. So if you have other things to do, have a back up ride. He gave me a good, cheap price for my tint (a lot cheaper then most places that i called), Paid in CASH (only) and waited about an hour and he called me and told me that it was ready to be picked up.

My car was beast! It looked better than I pictured it in my head. George was even impressed with his work and the turn out of my car. I love that about his business. Seeing that he was proud of his work shows that he took pride in what he did. A great guy!
He gave me some instructions for the next couple of weeks. No rolling down my windows, best way to clean the windows, warranty or information if he needed to remove the tint.
Overall: Great communication, customer service, and overall tint work!

I thought I knew something about the tint since I have almost tinted all of my cars, even once attempted doing it myself. BTW, highly not recommending doing that.
George is a very nice and hones guy. He looks like someone who’d be turning wrenches at the truck stop, but he does tint with absolute finesse. The reason I am saying that, because he threw away all of my tint misconceptions. Prior to my visit at L J Tinting, I was let to believe that only clean, dust free environment can ensure a good debris free tint installation. George does it outside and his tint look flawless. Trust me I am PITA and went over the tint job with fine tooth comb. This was the first time I took my car to George, from now on I will do it on every new car I get. This guy deserves six stars if it’s ever available on Unilocal.
I pull up to his place and can’t find him, go next door to find him sitting at his neighbor’s place. George looks at my car, says not a problem, gives me a work slip and starts working on it right away. It kind of scared me at first, when he opened a shabby looking closet where his tint is stored, but results are astonishing.
BTW, this was I think, just a second time in my dealing with anybody in a service sector, when provider talked me out of doing the work. I wanted to tint the front windshield of my Lexus but I also tint the rest of the windows pretty dark. George recommended not to tint the front (it’s the most expensive and complicated tint job there is) because it would be way too dark. He said, just come back later if you feel that you still need it. I really glad he said that, I do believe now it would have been too dark and I probably would have end up been pulled over for it. Now, who does that? Talks himself out of $$$.

George hooked me up with a clean tint job.
I was looking for a place to tint my windows and as usual I flipped through page after page of reviews with a bunch of positives and negatives and thought «Man all I want is my windows tinted and I don’t want to spend a bunch of money on a business that will give me a crappy tint and not worry about the quality of their work».
I found George and gave him a call. We set up an appointment over the phone and he told me it would be about 2 hours to do all 7 windows. Too easy.
***Finding the place might be a bit tricky so if you do make a trip over there be sure to pull up right after the BMW service shop on the right or you will pass it like I did.***
George is a mellow guy who’s trying to make an honest buck and I can say that if he keeps running his business like he did with me he will do well. We had a talk about the other shops in SD (which he said he worked for a couple) that push the expensive stuff on you and lay the cheap stuff down. Rip-​off. Honestly I can care less wtf’n tint brand is as long as it doesn’t fade in a few short years and turn purple. Brutal honest.
I”m looking clean with 20%-30%. I asked him what he would do for me incase his work bubbled or peeled and he said «Yeah just bring it on back and I will fix it for you». Come on if thats not customer service I don’t know what is. He did tell me there might be a few tiny specks of water here and there that would settle down as the tint lays and that I should bring it back in 3 weeks so he can touch it up. Pshhhh I’m set.

Check this; he will even remove your tint at no cost if you get a ticket for it and you want it removed. He even threw in a free visor strip! What??? I don’t see any cars with them so I wanted it done to be different and I actually really ilke it.
