One star based on poor customer service over the phone. Asked if they had time to do window tinting today (Friday). I was told unfortunately not until Monday. I said okay I will check back on Monday and before I could set up an appointment or ask anything else, I was hung up on.
There are many window tinting shops to choose from. Peace out…

Still decided to try them out. Went there and asked them why they can’t do the driver and passenger windows as part of the Groupon deal. They said they don’t advertise it since it is illegal to have the front windows tinted. Which is true.

I came to Elite with a Groupon back in November 2013, two days after I had purchased my brand new car. I paid the extra to have my front windows done (which I expected). Fast forward 2 years later and my windows are PURPLE!!! It’s not just me, I’ve asked other people if they can tell, and sure enough EVERYONE agrees they’re PURPLE. I took it into the shop and was told that fading is NOT covered under warranty and if I wanted them to take it off and put on «better quality film» it would cost me $ 220!!! I shouldn’t have to worry about my less than 2 year old car having purple windows. Pay the extra $ 20 and go somewhere else.

Someone had smashed my window overnight and I was planning on going up to LA today. Well I walked to my car to find out my car was broken into and they stole my stuff. I only had liability insurance so they didn’t cover anything. I called around and this place had amazing prices, they got me in today and replaced my window within an hour. Fantastic service and quick as well. They saved me today. Thank you so much guys!!! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend!!!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, I have to write this review. It would be easy for me to ignore my situation, but since I had given them a GREAT 5star review when my tint got done, loved Edgars customer service, etc. Now I’m in a situation where I’m getting no responses.
I noticed my rear window was fading earlier this year. I first thought it was just me seeing the difference, but then several people started to noticed it and it really bothered me that my car looks awful with the back window faded and bubbly. Well, I call and whomever answered my phone call said I needed the receipt. I know we should all save receipts, but you would think if you don’t have it, you don’t have it and they can look at their computer system and check back on THE awesome review I gave them. NOPE. The guy simply said they could not help me if I did not have my receipt. To be honest, its a paper that can easily fade the printing and nowhere to be found. At that moment I was a little upset and let it go. I figured I would attempt to call again when the owner, Edgar would be able to assist me. Life got busy, I work full time and I have a family to put before anything (especially tinting issues) I finally had a week off and decided to attempt this call again. I explain to the guy that answered my call that I cannot find my receipt, but I used a Groupon, paid extra $ out of pocket for other windows and I can also prove day the voucher was used. He could careless. I asked if there was anyway they could see their records and he said they didn’t keep records that far back and they changed their computer system (how convenient) So I said «if your business claims LIFE WARRANTY you should be able to have records 3 years back» he didn’t have much to say. it was like talking to a wall. Although, he did give me a price of $ 169 to redo my window. what a joke. I told him if he could please give Edgar my name and phone number, because I wanted to talk to him directly. I have yet to get a phone call. its very disappointing.
To Edgar: I hope you see this message and acknowledge my disappointment with your business. I have referred so many friends that have gone to Elite and in return I end up getting a simple «NO» to fix my window. It’s your business reputation on my window and when I see the fade and 3 small bubbles that would be an embarrassment for me. I rather have a happy client and a good reputation and excellent work. That’s FREE advertisement. We pay to advertise your work.

Had my 3^rd car done since 2013 and the work is off the charts… i will continue to bring my cars to Elite. quality work will always keep me as a loyal client.

So far, so good! Bought a Groupon based on their reviews but it only covered the back «5» which they explained up front that it’d cost another $ 80 for the front two. Which I ended up doing…
They were nice guys/​good service but there’s two bubbles on the back window. I’ll wait n see if it settles after this week but VERY very glad to know it’s a lifetime of the car guarantee for fixing bubbles or cracking!!!

SHADY BUSINESS this afternoon. If I could leave NO stars I would. When you have two different people tell you that your groupon will cover your tinting– no hidden fees or taxes– and then demand another $ 120– sounds shady. I think he just pocketed my money.

Avoid… misleading…deceptful.
I purchased a Groupon for a window tinting and when I called to schedule my appointment I stated that I wanted «double limo» and I asked if there would be an additional charge or if the Groupon would cover it. I was told first on the phone that there would not be an additional charge, when I showed up to for my appointment I asked again if the Groupon that I purchased would cover the double limo tint, and again I was told yes the Groupon would cover it.
Once I showed up to pick up my car. I was told that the cost was double, needless to say I was beyond upset, and I said I felt tricked and was told, well double limo takes more material and that was the cost if I wanted my car back.
I will never be using this Elite window tinting again.

Highly recommended this place to everyone! Ed was amazing. He was very kind and helped me out a lot. I got my windows tinted here today and he did an amazing job on the car! Amazing customer service, and amazing professionals! Thanks guys will be coming back here for sure!

So it’s only been a couple of months since I’ve gotten my tint, but I am so pleased and I just want to review them already. They’re the real deal!
I’ve browsed a few places and checked out reviews, but thanks to Groupon and all of your fabulous Unilocal reviews, I scored a regular tint for up to 5 windows for $ 129. I opted to get the front too for an extra $ 80. I called the guy and he was so kind and professional which reaffirmed I chose the right place. Yay!
I’m no rebel, so in keeping with CA regulations, (allowing 70%+ light in the front windows), I got 25% tint in the front (which allowed 75% light in, and I got 80% on the back (which allowed 20% light in). If I move out of state I’m so re-​tinting and rollin incognito, but for now it’s cool. The front actually often looks darker next to the back windows, especially when I have my sun visor on the front windshield out.
I knew nothing about tinting prior to this other than hey, I liked what I saw. The percentages even through me off, but rest assured, they know their stuff and can answer your questions and put you at ease.
I was bummed to see a little bubbling after I got my car, but I was informed that the tint was still settling and the bubbles would go away within a couple weeks. They were honest. It went away in a few days, and I am a happy camper. Whew!
Keep your receipt for the warranty and don’t roll your window down for 3 days afterwards. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. These guys are great. I’d come back and recommend to others. Great name for thenselves… elite!

I don’t think I’ve ever left an institution that was related to cars in any shape or form without feeling entirely demoralized afterwards UNTIL NOW! The staff at the counter quickly helped me make a decision about my window tint that I was happy with, gave me a great deal compared to all the rest whose offers in comparison were outrageous, and got it done in a few hours. Did I mention they do lifetime warranties on their work? Yeah. It’s real. Go check it out.

Great customer service, very detailed and meticulous attention to customer care. I’m totally satisfied with the tint I purchased. The time it took was just as advertised, actually about twenty minutes shorter. There is also a very comfy waiting room to relax as the wait time goes by. Overall; I’m satisfied with my experience and would mos def recommend to anyone looking for window tinting professionals. Last but least the price very reasonable-​especially considering I got all 7 windows tinted. The other places I checked out didn’t come close for price/​premium tint.

I went there today to get window tint on my fiat 500 and it looks great. From the moment I get there they quickly started on the job and was done in a very reasonable time. The staff was top rated.

My BMW looks amazing! I got the premium tint on my 4 months new car in late February and it turned out great.
Early on, we did have some confusion regarding the Groupon that I had — as it calls for tinting on 5 rear windows. I have a convertible that seats 2, that has a TOTAL of 5 windows. So, I had to pay extra to get the front windows tinted. It was a bit frustrating, but I guess it makes sense.
I would like to say that they seem to take time to explain the level of tint for your car and what their thoughts/​recommendations are for every client. While I was sitting there, multiple people came by and they were equally patient with all.
They do fantastic work and I highly recommend them.

I got my windows tinted here about 2 – 3 years ago… But I just wanted to say that the staff here is awesome. We share the same parking lot as them at work, and they’re very friendly. They’re honest and don’t try to upsell you or pressure you.

Elite Image offered a fair price to tint my fiancés Mercedes. The quality of work was second to none and it was completed fairly quickly. You can’t beat the prices at this shop.

It was so inexpensive for the quality of work they did. This place is top notch. I got all my windows done and spent less than I did for 3 windows on my old car. Can’t beat that if you ask me. Joe was very honest about the level of tint vs. what I was looking for. He took his time to explain the process to me and it only took about an hour. Not to mention the shop is right across the street from some good eats so you don’t have to sit around you can go grab a bite come back and your vehicle is done and waiting for you. What more can a gal ask for.

I called them up for a quote and they had the most fair price I had heard all day.
I might have unintentionally insulted Edgar by telling him I would call back in the next few minutes since his shop was the first shop I had called as I searched for window tinting service that same day. I didn’t want to say «YES» to the first quote I had heard that morning because I never do for anything else.
I quickly realized Elite Image was the real deal and was by far the best price I had heard. I called him back and we setup an appointment even though he joked few times after that he had changed his mind or wasn’t actually available that day any longer, but I get where he is coming from.
That is proof that Unilocal can delivery the most reliable and best business with customer service if you just do your homework. This business was the first one on my list to call for a quote and they turned out to be the most professional job at a fairly reasonable price considering they’re located in the greater Kearny Mesa District where competition is fierce.
I went with my instincts and it turned out to work out for the better.
Edgar is natural customer service expert and worked with me with what I had requested done to my windows. I only wish he had told the truth that there is no such thing as legal tint on the front passenger windows in the state of California. I researched it and I had thought I was 100% positive of the law when I showed up here but Edgar had convinced me otherwise. Not happy with that but maybe he was behind in his codes.
Still, Elite Image is top notch window tint shop and they do quality work and I plan to only call these guys up for quotes on any future vehicle or family/​friends recommendations.

Don’t Buy The GroupOn! It’s not worth it!
The employees of this company don’t know how to apply tint! The owner is nice but he won’t do the work (as he promised he would do for me after I complained the first time. That didn’t happen)
I had purchased the premium tint for five windows a ($ 599 value as they claim) for $ 249.00 which most other companies will give you this deal too.
Thing with Elite Image is that the employees are incompetent. I had to return FOUR times in three weeks (waiting 3 to 4 hours at a time) for them to REDO my tint because it either BUBBLED, they installed WRONG TINT PERCENTAGE, installed the WRONG TINT QUALITY, and/​or there would ve SCRATCHES on my windows!!! SERIOUSLY!!!
Mind you, I have a lifetime warranty because I purchased the premium but what good does that get me when each time I’m disappointed by the job? I have not returned to them since and my tint still looks horrible!
Every window has little bubbles all spread out and we’re not talking one-​sies, two-​sies! We’re talking about handfuls of bubbles on ALL WINDOWS!
I thought giving them (4) chances was enough to make things right but apparently not!
