La Clochette du Coin, which means «The little bell on the corner» in French, is a small coffee shop located in La Jolla, San Diego. It was established in 2014 by two young siblings who grew up in Madagascar. With a strong influence from France and a passion for coffee, they decided to team up to build a coffee shop that portrays where they are from.

The vibe of this place is so relaxing! Came here on holiday for breakfast and had the best waffle I have ever eaten. The tea latte is also superb. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. Free wifi with and easy-​to-​find password up on the wall. I highly recommend this place!

This place is delicious. The coffee is fantastic. If you like bold lattes, get three shots in a 12 oz cup … heaven. I have started eating here fairly regularly while doing morning work, and the food is consistently extremely good. Very fresh ingredients, and a loving touch. The atmosphere is very charming and spotless, and I always love the choice of music playing on the radio. Keep up the good work, La Clochette!

I used to like this place a lot when the opened. French inspired coffee, good atmosphere and delicious French-​style croissants. They changed the bakery and now they just serve regular croissants that you can find anywhere. It kind of lost its unique flavor for me.

Smooth Americano. They ladies working the counter were fun and attentive. I went in for a second serving.
The berry bar was overly sweet for me. Chocolate croissant was decent. I’d just come for the coffee.

I love this place! I work in the area, and I’ve been here at least once or twice a week – sometimes everyday – since they’ve opened. Everyone is so nice, they know me by name, and they’re always very accommodating.
The coffee is really delicious, and I love the brewed chai latte. It sure beats the powder stuff they use at Starbucks. The food sometimes takes a while, though, since they don’t have a proper kitchen. Still, the paninis are good, and I love the avocado toasts.
It’s definitely La Jolla pricey, but I’m willing to pay a bit more for high quality coffee, really friendly people, and a nice atmosphere. And when you compare the prices to those of Bird Rick Coffee down the street, they’re very comparable.

Cute newish coffee shop near Windansea beach. We were really excited to find this place on one of our morning walks to the beach. The interior is cozy and they play relaxing music that made me want to sit and stay for awhile. The shop is a little small so it does sound a bit noisy when the Baristas get busy making drinks.
The parking situation is a bit frustrating. We usually walk down from our place but we drove this morning and with the beach so close and so many homes on the adjoining streets your lucky to find any street parking. There is underground parking for the complex the coffee shop is in but all the spots are labeled for specific businesses and we couldn’t find any labeled for the coffee shop. If your just popping in and grabbing a latte it’s probably fine to use.
It’s a great place to grab a coffee in the morning and take a stroll down to the beach to watch the surfers paddle out and the the waves roll in.

You guys. You. Guys. They have matcha lattes! Matcha blended drinks. Well, two in total. But, hey – that they have them at all is a great discovery.
This lil’ coffee shop is located by Windansea – grab your coffee to go and head on down to the ocean for a walk. Pull up a bench. Or, you could enjoy your beverage indoors – it’s cute (clean, updated, aesthetically pleasing) and ample sitting space, despite the shop’s overall small size. Free wifi. Clean and large restroom. There’s a parking structure beneath the building; the street parking towards the beach (residential) can be hit or miss.
Three stars, just because my mother’s order was made incorrectly twice and our quiches (served on ceramic plateware) were barely lukewarm. But the lovely ladies behind the counter were so nice, and that made up for a lot. If I could 3.5 stars it, I would!

My friend who lives in SD says this is her favorite spot. With free wifi, friendly service, and delicious pastries… I can see why!
Sure, the pricing is a bit on the higher side, but it’s the quality of the service and menu items that justify my 5 stars. I had their chocolate éclair and immediately felt like crying out of joy. It’s that way whenever I get delicious food. The éclair tasted like a delicious cream puff. I loved that it was chilled to the point where I felt like the cream inside was almost like fluffy ice cream! It wasn’t too sweet for me, and I devoured that thing like a monster.
My friend’s coffee eclaire was to die for as well. I didn’t order any coffee or tea, but my friends all loved their items. They also have cucumber-​infused water in a serve-​yourself format. Great small space with lots of seating. I could see people hanging out here for a small snack/​coffee or staying here to get work done on a computer. What a fabulous find.

I stopped in there and got an iced tea — it was fantastic!
The staff was SUPER friendly. Since this was my first time there, I told them I was in the mood for an iced tea. They told me all my options and did a great job helping me select one. I typically sweeten my tea, but it was so good I didn’t really need to.
Iced tea was made to order, which is a plus.
If I was in the area again, I would stop back in.

I love that this place is clean and cozy. Sometimes you walk into a coffee shop and get the feeling that it hasn’t had a «deep clean» in awhile but everything here was pristine. The counters and tables, the floor. It was very comfortable to sit while my car was being washed next door. They did a great job with a space that has previously had difficulties. I think this place is here to stay!
The staff are very nice and personable. I will definitely come back when I have some work to do. The only downside to this spot is the parking situation, which wasn’t a problem for me because I was walking.

What a great addition to this neighborhood! Upon entering this great little coffee shop I noticed how charming and comfortably laid out it is. I found this shop conveniently located just a block from Windansea Beach. All the employees are friendly and attentive, and made some great suggestions, one of which I purchased. Of the plethora of authentic French options on the menu, personally I loved the tea latte with my almond croissant.
La Jolla Blvd can be difficult with street parking, but thankfully, underground parking is available here.
I recommend anyone to try this lovely coffee shop and support a local small business.

Great new coffee shop off of La Jolla Blvd. This new shop is owned my two siblings who are usually working the shift.
What struck me about La Couchette was their fresh loose leaf tea selection. I decided to try their Vanilla Tea Latte, it was amazing! You can definitely taste the freshness and quality. I also ordered on another day an Almond Milk Latte. Again, it was great. Their coffee beans are preservative free!
They have wifi, a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, and their setup is very «hip». Definitely will be coming here more often since it’s down the street from my work. However, they are a bit pricey which is why I gave them 4 stars.

I been back several times since my fist visit, and I am very please to say that my subsequent visits have been even better than the first. I have had a variety of items including Café Au Laits, Americanos, House Drip Coffees, and Loose Leaf Teas. Each time every drink has been fantastic and served with genuine courtesy and friendliness.
Their WiFi has been consistent and very useful, and they provide comfy seating. Things will only get better in the future, given they plan to add more food items, other than the pastries and simple small plate sandwiches they offer, including Quiche Lorraine! This place is one of my to go places for coffee when I am in La Jolla.

As far as the difference between having a powder or natural in our lattes, we were never asked. Far too much sugar in them, and this is something that should be explained to newbies.
And the éclair, we’ll just have to agree to disagree on that cause of all the specific makings of a real authentic éclair, the custard is what I love, perfect with its pastry part (pâté au choux).
My daughter said she loved her almond croissant and you see her review. She basically said it was delicious but again, TOO SWEET. Maybe it’s as easy as you using less sugar, but still keeping it French. But I believe they are not made on-​site.
I’m glad the parking is gonna get better. I just got lucky with snagging a close spot.

I walked into this adorable coffee shop after getting a bagel, The brace that was very helpful in answering my questions. I told her that I liked Carmel also I like the white chocolate mocha, she then insisted that I get the white chocolate mocha with caramel drizzle. This drink is so amazing! Best coffee, EVER!

What a charming and modern place! I probably would visit this place more often if it were closer to where I work or live but sadly not.
I really like the décor of this place: French, modern, clean and simple. The staffs is nice, friendly and not too bad on the eyes. I ordered the latte with almond milk because real milk would be bad for my digestion :(The cashier also recommended that I get the almond croissant which I also did. It was buttery, sweet and just right. Ohh but the calories but definitely worth it!

Great little coffee shop!
I stopped in Monday afternoon for their soft opening day.
I had a double shot espresso, and a cold brew coffee.
As well as a madeleine (french butter cake).
The pastry and coffee were so good, and the ambiance was relaxing.
The owners and staff were so friendly. Makes you feel right at home.
Nice location being very close to Windansea Beach.
Will definitely be back to try out more coffee and pastries!
