Don’t expect them to return any calls or do what they said they would do.
My saga started eight-​ish years ago when my wife met Jack Marshall and decided to give him the job of creating our dream pool at $ 63,000. Jack was a great talker and pretend to give a crap about your investment.
After months of my salt system not working and various other issues Jack had my salt system replaced. Well, after around four years we noticed our pool coping cracking at various places around the pool. Without going into the whole story my pool had gaping cracks through the shot crete. After two years of hounding them they finally had a contractor come out and staple my pool together. After the pool was emptied for the work we had a ton of cracks. Most of the cracks were superficial but some were lying pool water to collect them to the pool. Well now my pool is 2 inches higher on one end than the other.
I now have water coming out between the steps at the bond beam when the waterfall feature is turned on. Coping 2 inches higher on one end of the pool and various other issues that they refused to do anything about.
They have brought out every «expert» they could find to find something I did to the pool to cause the crack. None could. My contract says the pool is under warranty as long as I own the property. Still they refuse to do anything. I do not expect anything to be done by these heartless creeps.
If you need a pool built run from them as fast as you can.
I have a $ 63,000 pool that is junk. I have no recourse as these dirtbags will go BK if I sued and won. One star because they won’t let me read zero.

We never heard back from the project manager after our initial meeting who said he would create a design for us. Perhaps he didn’t think we were serious? Jessica was rather rude on the phone and I got the impression she didn’t think we had any clue how much a pool would cost. Either way, we ended up going with another company and they finished the job within a month and I now have a beautiful pool.

Pool itself turned out great. It took 12 weeks to complete which was beyond the original estimate of 6 to 8 weeks. Problems were customer service related. Sales rep, Hector, showed up hours late if at all for appointments. It took over 4 weeks after project was done for trash dumpster to get taken away. Also company left sand, gravel, rebar and other contractor debris in front yard after all was done. I was told by owner and sales rep that damages done to front yard was my responsibility to get repaired. Apparently that includes the clean up of sand, gravel, rebar, stones along with installing a new irrigation system, soil and replacement of torn up plants. I started getting bids with estimates in the $ 2,000 range for getting the front yard cleaned up to the condition it was before they tore it up. Most of the damages could have been avoided. Landscape contractors recommended pursuing small claims court for recompense of cost of repairing damages to front yard. I have already started the filing of forms and formal complaint with contractor state license board.

I found Marc Mazzano, one of their new project managers to be outstanding and he did an outstanding job on our pool. The office team at Superior was helpful in letting me know when something was happening.

Our family is very happy with this family-​owned company. Our pool was literally completed in 4 weeks (way under the estimated time!). Everything was chosen carefully step by step along the way. There were no surprises throughout the process as everything was thoroughly discussed. The warranty was another positive as the other companies we screened did not have warranties like Superior. Even at the end with permits, salt water start up, rebates, etc they have continued help us with it all. Very happy with their company.

We initially consulted Superior Pools 14 years ago and had Jack install a «free form» pool with «no fear» Jade gemstones finish. It was gorgeous! For years, perspective pool buyers from all over San Diego County came over to view our pool before they built their own pools. Today, we spoke to Jessica and they are coming over to our new home in the Mount Helix area tomorrow to give us an estimate regarding resurfacing the pool. We tell all our friends and family members to use Superior Pools because of their outstanding service, quality workmanship & beautiful results. We are excited to be working with Superior Pools again!

I made an appointment for a consultation and nobody showed up. When I called them to figure out what happened the receptionist, Jessica (I think her name was) told me she forgot to call me to tell me they couldn’t make it. She then went on to ask me if we could afford the work we were interested in getting because it would be in the price range of around $ 29k. I thought it was very rude of her to assume we couldn’t afford it. Perhaps that’s why nobody bothered to show up or even call to let me know. It was a waste of my time and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Superior Pools built our pool over 10 years ago in Ramona and it looks the same today as it did then. Over the years I have called Jessica to get help with a drain cover or a clogged jet and she has always gone over the top when it comes to customer service. She remembers me every time I call which is maybe 3 times in the past 10 years. I highly recomend them as a pool builder. It is a family run business, and thats who you deal with during and after the build.

Jack Marshall built our pool back in 1990, and we went with him because he came highly recommended by a neighbor who had two pools built by Superior Pools. Their pricing is very reasonable and they really worked with me on the design to make it our dream pool. The contractors they work with were all great and very knowledgeable. We would not hesitate to refer him to our friends and family.

Jack Marshall did an outstanding job on our pool remodel! Not only is he very knowledgeable and experienced in his craft, but he took the extra time to foster a relationship with us before and throughout the experience. His pricing is fair and his customer service is second to none. I would recommend Jack to anyone looking for someone to repair or upgrade their pool. Great work, great guy.
