Meet the Business Owner

Matthew K.

Business Owner

Matthew Koch has been in the tile and stone industry for 25 years. He originally opened Distinctive Tile & Stone in Seattle in 1998 after discovering that stonework was the perfect outlet for his design experience and passion. Matt holds his Masters in International Market Development and has worked with Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, and Calwer Decken-​und Tuchfabriken, one of the worlds oldest textile companies. As well as operating Distinctive Tile & Stone, Matt is currently working with Ceramicas Calaf s/​a, a Spanish based tile manufacturer in the development of North America and Asian markets.
