Kai Pua is an artist studio and gallery right in the heart of Front Street. At any given time, come see brothers, John or Daniel, playing with fire (torchwork glass making) in our front window. Inside, you’re likely to find Anna painting one of her floral masterpieces, or Debra creating one of her gorgeous necklaces.

All of the gorgeous items in Kai Pua are handcrafted by a Maui artist. You often can purchase a piece you watched come to life.

History

Established in 2011.

Owners and artists Anna and John Lindquist opened this gallery in 2011. John was an apprentice at Maui Crystal, the glass shop that existed in this space for 30+ years. This talented pair has created a home for their love of art, craft, friends, and family.

Business Owner

John and wife Anna own and operate Kai Pua Artist Studio together with the help of a cast of other local Maui island artists. He is an award winning lampworker. You can pop in any day of the week to catch him or one of the other talented glass workers creating their primarily sea-​themed sculptures in the gallery from about 11 am– 9pm. Call ahead to meet his wife in person and experience her amazing floral oil paintings.
