Confidence In Birth

First time older mom here and was very nervous about the birth process and not being in control. I did know that I am much better with more information. My husband and I took child birth and lactation classes with Sharon. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, focused and a natural teacher. She was sensitive to what our specific concerns were and addressed every one of them plus more. Confidence in Birth was absolutely how I felt after taking classes from Sharon. She is exceptional!

Due to my husband’s crazy work schedule we had to find a private birth class. Sharon worked around our schedule even with last minute issues, she prepared us beautifully for the birth of our son, she gave us a book that was perfect and was a fresh reminder of the classes and she received us with an amazing table full of snacks and awesome beverages each time ! Her Dogs would sit at our feet making us feel like we are part of the family. She even Came to my home to help me with breast feeding, as I had a very hard time the first days since the lactate consultant of the hospital told me I was doing it correctly and which wasn’t the case. 1h with Sharon and breast feeding went from torture to an enjoyable bonding time. Thankful to have found Sharon, and definitely recommend her to any expecting parent and breast feeding moms !!!

My wife and I took private classes from Sharon at her home. Her classes were very helpful and inspiring. Sharon is a great listener, flexible, patient and bright. Prices are reasonable… a very good value for the amount of support you receive. Plus, she has a great home and great snacks!

My boyfriend and I came into this class as newcomers, ready to learn and a bit nervous about the journey ahead. Sharon guided us along with vast knowledge, an easy and fun demeanor, and the perfect mix of understanding and encouragement. At the completion of the class, I felt confident in myself in my upcoming birth experience. While we had planned on using a birth doula, I was unexpectedly induced a couple weeks early and we had not yet found a doula. During those moments when we were processing the news that I was going to be induced, and realizing that we would be going forward without the help of a doula, I felt confident in the knowledge that both I and my boyfriend had from Sharon. We used Sharon’s teachings throughout my labor and delivery, and I credit her with contributing to what was a truly wonderful birthing experience.

As an uncle but never a father, I’d heard stories of getting ready for a baby but had no idea about the specifics. Sharon was very calm and patient and thorough in walking us through the steps of getting ready for and going through delivery, and it was very reassuring to know we were dealing with a nurse with years of experience. Her answers were practical but thorough, and reassuring.
When we had to induce early without a doula as planned, it was Sharon’s advice that gave us the confidence to get through it on our own — and we ended up using several specific techniques to get through contractions and through a smooth delivery.
She’s warm, friendly, personable, reassuring, professional, knowledgeable — everything I’d want in a teacher/​coach/​advice giver through one of life’s Big Moments that you want to go smoothly and as drama free as possible.
Plus, she always had quality snacks set out, and that never hurts.

Being a first time Mom I was pretty nervous. I did not know anything about having a baby, birth, choices or anything. After taking class with Sharon I feel ready and I feel like I can make the right choices for my son. She was helpful, nurturing and really helped my husband and I!!!
