Protective Bunkers and Survival Center

I’ve gone in to the business and purchased stuff a few times in the past, but today sealed the deal for me about my commitment as a customer in the future. The owners helped me out way above and beyond when they had no reason to offer an exchange for an item I purchased about a month ago. I’ve always had great customer service here and today stood out so much I had to come on here and leave a review for the business. They deserve the 5 stars! If you’re a person interested in preparedness or have firearms needs I highly recommend this business. Their firearm accessories, ammo, and general preparedness items are priced fairly and not marked way up like other local businesses. I used to primarily buy my ammo online and have it shipped since I can find great deals. But when I paid .42 cents a round for 5.56 (which in the last four years is a steal) from an actual brick and mortar business like this one there is no reason to have it shipped anymore. I will be coming here for all my ammo needs in the future. Again thanks for the top notch service today and you have a loyal customer because of it.

just wanted to say thank you for all your guys help. Chris is really knowledgeable with the gear and the store. For a one stop location for your preparedness needs and wants this is the place. My wife and I have really been impressed with the selection you guys have. Really friendly people.

I am updating my original review of a 1 star rating for not honoring their Unilocal deal. I am giving this business a 5 star because the owner Rachel seems to honestly care and contacted me to explain that there had been a mix up and that she would refund me the $ 25 to honor the deal on Unilocal.I was impressed, who does that?
And as in my earlier review, I still feel that the sales guys are knowledgeable & helpful. This shop has tons of very cool survival gear and someone running it who cares. Thanks Rachel.

I have purchased so many things from this store since they opened. I bought my first AR parts from them. I had specific requirements and they got me exactly what I wanted. The knowledge of the staff is impeccable. I have yet to have a bad experience at this store. Heck, sometimes I just go in to chat with the staff. Keep up the great work Rachel!

Passed by this morning and though I would stop in and see what it was like. I was greeted by Chris who was very friendly and made me feel like I wasn’t just some customer browsing the store. Very friendly staff, decent selection for a smaller store and prices are reasonable. They mentioned a sale this weekend so may come back and see what I can score.

The staff here was very helpful. We are just starting to get into the survival scene. They answered the questions we had and offered many more tips and tricks that we did not even think of. There was no pressure to buy or do anything, but still willing to spend as much time as they needed with us to make sure we were completely informed. It’s on the smaller side, but have all the right stuff needed and are willing or order anything they could. I recommend going here and DO NOT be afraid to ask questions!

Not only do these guys give discounts for Military, EMTs, Law Officers and others, but their selection and customer service is awesome!!! I live relatively close and kept seeing the place off the freeway but never had a chance to stop by. Once i did, i kicked my self in the rear for it because this is what ive always needed and it was right in front of my face this enitre time. Rachel & her employees are very knowledgable, respectful and kind. They pointed me out to items i didnt even know existed and found them to be very, very useful. Their prices are great and are waaaaaay better than Army/​Navy surplus in Temecula. Overall, great experience and i support them 110%. You have my business even after the world freezes over. Thank you guys at PBSC! I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED ;)

Was a client; now I am not. I purchased a Surefire Flashlight from them and when I opened up the IR lens cover the glass popped right out and continues to do so. I explained the problem to a woman who owns the store with her husband and she directed me to send it in to Surefire. When I posed the question that «why should I send it in when it was defective when purchased» her comment was that she only had one left. NEWS FLASH: If you sell a defective item you should own the problem and not shuffle it off to the client, especially if the problem was yours to begin with. Where I used to tell people I know that this was a good place to do business I now have the pleasure of stating the opposite. If the owner thought about it for just a moment simple math rules apply.
A: a delay of sale on a flashlight that they could easily sell at anytime = thousands of dollars of potential revenue, just from me alone. Now this becomes exponential when the people with the same product needs as I have don’t purchase from there that equates to tens of thousands of dollars of lost revenue; and when they of course do not mention the store to individuals who would also purchase the same like type items that then equates to a greater loss of revenue.
NEWS UPDATE: Sure, no problem, I will send the item in that was defective when I purchased it and wait the month or so to get a replacement AND YOU Protective Bunkers and Survival Center lost a client. Great business sense and outstanding decision making skills AND no, this review is not because I need you to replace the Surefire that was defective when I bought it from you; but instead to identify the absolutely poor customer service your company has so others don’t make the mistake of buying from your store; way to treat your clients who are Veterans!

Best prices anywhere! Love going here because they have what you need or can order it quickly and they pretty much always beat everyone else on prices. Picked up a SOG trench shovel for cheap! Give them a call or stop by. Great group of people!

This place is awesome. It’s a surplus style store, but without all of the crap that you don’t want or need. In today’s crazy world, everyone should have a survival plan. Even FEMA suggests that in the event of an emergency, you need to have the ability to keep yourself alive for 72 hour’s because it will be at least that long before help will arrive. Lessons from Hurricane Katrina show that it will actually take much longer, especially in the face of a disaster that makes roads impassable. Some people say that without access to trucks, the grocery stores would be empty within a 48 hour’s in a disaster. You need to have your own plans for survival, and this includes plans to protect yourself and your resources from unprepared people who inevitably will try to take it away from you.
This store is one stop shopping for everything from long term shelf stable food, to bug out kits. Nearly anything that you can think of for self sustainability, you can find here.

I knew of PB and SC but hadn’t figured out where they were, Yesterday I watched Doomsday Prepper show and learned the owners are on it which intrigued me to find it. I like the store as they have a mix of survival and milsurp items and AR uppers. I decided to buy an Israeli gas mask, MRE, signs, SOG tomahawk and other items. The owners were not there but Dave did a great job helping look at some knives and tomahawks. I’ll be back at some point.

I have driven by this place for over a year till I finally stopped by to take a look around the store is fully equipped with all the gear you need for the outdoors or at the range customer service was amazing I recommend stopping by and taking a look around

This place is amazing! The owners are very knowledgable and kind. It is not just survival gear either. You can find camping equipment, hiking equipment and a lot of different outdoor things as well; and of course– Survival gear. Definitely would check it out.
