Manager

Steven is the General Manager at The Nautical Beachfront Resort, joining the resort in 2013. He knows the hotel and travel industry well and is considered hospitality and turn around expert. He oversees the day to day operations of the resort, including management of the executive team, food and beverage operations, as well as over seeing the multi million dollar renovation plan that began in 2014. Renovations to the 139 room property have included the build out of a 5600sqft event space, suite and room renovations, upgraded food & beverage outlets, revamped outdoor spaces and upgraded golf course, with additional upgrades and improvements coming in 2016.

Steven is a hospitality industry leader with over 30 years of experience.

Not a fan! The rooms are old, dingy and dated. The pool, while the infinity pool is a nice thought, it was missing tiles and sharp, the concrete was extremely hot and no one did anything about it (like water the concrete or offer flips), pool security were rude to my daughters who were trying to come thru the gate, no pool towel service and the towels in the rooms smelled like dried pee.
The dirt walkway to the boat rental was full of trash and a dusty mess.
Lacking a decent brand shampoo and no conditioner. This hotel was equivalent of a motel 6 type place. The only positive was they gave 2 free bags of ice per day. Update your hotel and don’t offer wi fi unless you can have it working!!!

Stayed here recently for a party. The hotel is somewhat dated, the rooms in particular but the lakefront rooms and the fun pool and bars make up for it. Food and drink were consistently good at all outlets on the property. The starbucks is great and they have a great lady working as Barista. Two free bags of ice per day helps alot on the boat. I recommend this place. We never had to leave the property except by boat all weekend!

The resort is fun, has lots of things to do, pool, water park for the kids, restaurants, beach, beautiful views. But the rooms need lots of work. There was spider webs in every single corner of the room. Moved the couch and there was a mess.

We checked in and went to launch our skis. However our keys did not work to open the gated boat ramp. We were lucky to have someone else open it from the other side. After being in with the skis for an hour we came back and unloaded our stuff and brought it to our room. The keys didn’t work there either. We had to drive back to the lobby to get them activated. Once done we accessed the room and it had not been serviced. Beds not made, towels everywhere, the smell of a drunken party lingered… Everything was disgusting. I called the front desk and they said «ok we will give you a new room». We went in and no apologies or compensation. Just here’s your new key. You’re right next door. Outside the room smelled of straight dung and only half the lights in the new room worked. Not very pleasant for a 180 dollar a night stay. 1 star is generous, if I could give 0 I would.

Super fun hotel, nicest looking hotel on lake Havasu !! Rooms are super clean, a little pricey only during the holiday but rather than that, it’s worth it. Good food too.

Great location on the island. It would be perfect to sit on the balcony IF the atmosphere was less party party party. Loud music thumps throughout the resort (and your room) from the pool until midnight or later. Walls are super thin and you can hear every word your neighbors say. Rooms are DIRTY with dead bugs in the drapes and stains on the balconies and are very outdated. The staff in the restaurant mentioned several times how much they wished they didn’t have to be there on a Sunday morning. Overall definitely not worth the price of the room and not a good place to spend the weekend if you want to relax and just hang out.

Hadn’t stayed here in a while, a few things changed since my last stay, check in was quick and easy, room was nice and tidy, I think the best part about this place is the view, we had a bay view and it was awesome. pool was perfect, happy hour great. rooms have plenty of area — with balcony.

Horrible experience & service. Infested with mosquitos. Called 3 times times to the front desk for bug spray and no one has showed up. Pubic hairs on the floor of the bathroom. About 50 mosquitos circling each light and cobwebs. Pics to follow. Nasssssttyyyy!!!

I was nervous reading the reviews. My room is clean. The Turtle Beach Bar is awesome. Drinks are reasonably priced. Until the Four Seasons puts a resort on the water, I’m coming back right here.

Came here for a vacation. Rooms were decent but not amazing. I would say that it was the best reasonable-​ish resort in Havasu.
Top spring break destination but definitely overpriced everything.
The maids did not clean the room at all, I was given a trash bag everyday. No fresh towels and they did a «room check» as if I was a child in camp.
But 3 stars is thanks to the bartenders and front desk.
I know it was spring break time but I was there just to relax on the lake but I was treated like a hooligan. Also the parking police was not very nice. But other then that, the experience is what you make of it… The resort was okay in the end.

I didn’t actually stay here, but I did use the pool since its free to people over 21. I think that”s really cool that they allow people who are not staying at the resort to use the pool. The pool has an interesting design because at the edge it looks like you are going to fall off. I think the deepest the pool goes is 5ft.

we recently spent four nights here. The building is very dated needs major upgrades. The bathroom was clean with fresh linens daily but the mattresses very old and the linens were not changed daily. I even found a black hair in my bed one day (I have gray hair). The carpet was filthy.
On a nicer note, the staff was delightful and the view from our room provided much entertainment.
I wish I could be more positive about this resort

This was a great stay, for the short period we were here, the rooms were pretty decent sized, the beds are a 3⁄5 for me, the TV was good if you just want to stay in the room and relax. The bars and restaurants Id give a 3.75÷5 just because they lacked a couple of things from they’re menu, and they would run out of things. The hotel it’s self was great and I love the location, as well as the water sports they have on site, and the private beach I’d give that a 3.75÷5.

The service is horrible. The people have no social skills or customer service, and there never seems to be anyone on duty that can make an important decision. We had bats on our balcony. We paid for this balcony and couldn’t enjoy it because of the disgusting infestation of bats. What did we get in return from the front desk, «I’m sorry, we can’t so anything.». I will never return to this place again. Neither should you.

If you don’t want your kids to be inhaling clouds of cigar or cigarette smoke DON’T BRING THEM HERE!
My friends daughter has asthma, a guy — who wasn’t even a hotel guest — sits right next to us and starts puffing his cigar — we asked management about it and apparently this is ok. Arizona law says the hotel has the right to make it smoke-​free zone but they haven’t chosen to do so… yet

I drove 6 hours from California to take my boat out in Havasu for a fun day trip. Upon checking in to the Nautical after the long drive, I was very underwhelmed with the blah /​could care less attitude of the hotel receptionist. She made me feel like I should be thankful they were even open. It was a Monday night, completely dead, no one even at motel.
They had some Desert Thunder boat race they were prepping for the following week and made me feel as if I didn’t matter and all their time and effort was for next week’s event.
They billed my room an additional 200 dollar charge on top of the $ 110/​night rate. I asked why the next morning and the girl basically said whoever checked me in must of fouled up, but offered no recourse, meanwhile my bank account was 200 bucks less than I had anticipated for 6 days.
They charge a 19.95 resort fee which covers their joke of a boat ramp and jacuzzi/​pool which is opened late in the morning and closes early in the evening.
«All rooms have beach front view» is a sham. My view was overlooking other rooms.
All their workwers were prepping their floating dock for this Desert Thunder stuff and I had place to de-​launch my boat. I ended up scuffing the edges of my rails since they hauled away the floating dock/​bumpers to be painted for Desert Thunder.
My room had a handicapped shower with ridiculous guard rails, a very steep tub entry I almost fell over and the grip tape at the base of the tub was all curled up.
I can’t imagine how overpriced this place is during holidays and spring break. The only cool thing is the pool, which is open during very limited hours.
I won’t be back here because of their hurrendous customer service and the budget style rooms that are overhyped as luxurious with non existent views that they promise on their website and on the phone.

The responsibility for this «Fail» should rest as much with Expedia and it’s reviewers, as with the hotel property itself. Expedia’s review-​average was 3.5 out of 5. I have to believe the review criteria for other reviewers included «boozing it up and raising hell on spring break…» However, this was New Years week, and we just wanted a nice room. I won’t fault the young lady that checked me in and out. She was nice. But if available, I certainly would have had words with the property management.
Had I known that most of the «resorts» in Havasu were a «bit aged», I might not have been so disappointed. But thinking Expedia was a «cost saving» approach, I honestly thought I’d be getting a nice stay at a good price. I did not.
Regarding the property itself, I read somewhere that they «renovated.» I didn’t see any of that in our room, nor in the broken and weathered cement and asphalt drive-​paths to our room. It sort of looked like a deserted and worn part of a «big city downtown.» I honestly don’t want to be too dramatic, but on the way to our room I honestly thought I was passing a building that was tagged for demolition; empty, no guests, with flat wall entrances… a dated building with no character or design… circa «box.»
For what it’s worth, I pre-​paid for two nights, and left after the first night, just walking away from about $ 125 pre-​payment. Does that tell you anything about how disappointed we were? The room, outside of the 1st gen semi-​flat screens, was extremely dated. And most important, we didn’t like the exposed bathroom sink next to the beds, with the toilet and shower being the only area behind a lockable door. The room just wasn’t laid out very well. As we walked into the room, we faced the two queen beds. On the other end of the open space was the «sitting area with a second flat screen.» This layout is like a Hilton Embassy Suites room layout, but illogically reversed. It just wasn’t very «Resort-​y»… if you know what I mean.
If you plan on bringing your boat, using their golf course, and heavily partying with friends… maybe this could work for you. But as a boat owner, and an occasional golfer, I would not be able to get past the room accommodations. I guess I’m spoiled, being a Hilton and Marriott member all these years, and used to much more contemporary digs when we stay at any of the Hilton or Marriott resorts.
Sorry Nautical… I’m sure you have satisfied clients (those that shared 4 and 5 star reviews). And I understand, if not respect their opinions. But for us, this absolutely didn’t work. And it was the first and last time I’ll look to Expedia for booking anything.
