We took our truck for a smog test here. It did not pass the visual as the part ID on our Mopar Intake Manifold had come off after 10 years. We were told they would retest for free after we provided the ID number. After calling several times with no answer or answer machine, we went directly to The Smog Shop with the part ID number. They said their machine was down. How convenient. We went to a nearby shop and were told they get a lot of the Smog Shops business as the owner goes to lunch and never comes back, or they leave people sitting around and are not working. No customer service. We will not go back.

This is my 7th time coming here on a follow up smog. Guy wasn’t there again. After walking around looking for someone to help me, I found a guy in the waiting room who worked here and when I asked him he said «I dunno». When I walked back to my car I decided to walk around the shop just to see if anyone would respond to some guy wandering around a million dollar shop. Finally someone noticed me and when I asked where the smog guy is they said «he went to lunch. He said he will be back at 12:45.» It was 11:00.
WTF. The last time I was there the machine broke. And the five times before it was either too busy that there was nowhere to park or he was just not there.

I went in for a smog test, and after passing all of the emissions and computer tests I was told that one of the hoses looked a little old and had failed the visual inspection. I was charged $ 40 and told I could return for another $ 30 after replacing the hose. I don’t think I’ll be back:-)

A painless and quick smog test experience! The level of customer service sets The Smog Shop apart from any other shop I have been to for a smog test. Daniel was courteous and provided clear expectations of the 15 minutes process, then he was done before I got settled into the comfortable waiting room. After the test, Daniel explained the test results in detail and what they meant, which I haven’t experienced before. I would highly recommend The Smog Shop to anyone who values customer service and integrity — ask for Daniel.
