Blue Cross Animal Hospital

Very rude staff. Especially the manager, very snobby acting. Called to confirm I’d be late to an appointment and made me wait almost an hour. Staff didn’t greet me as I walked in as well. Made an appointment else where. Don’t recommend coming here or trust with pets.

Very CLEAN and very friendly. I made an appointment in the morning, and was in by 10am. The vet, tech, and staff were very helpful and warm. I recommend for your fur babies.

We had to make the hard decision to put our 19 yr old dog to sleep and did not have a regular vet. (our previous vet of 20+ years has recently retired). I had used one of the Blue Cross vets when she was working with horses, so the decision was made to go to Blue Cross.
Dr. Montgomery, Travis, Jenet, and Kim were professional and incredibly compassionate.
Thank you to all four who made our ordeal today so much easier.

Wow! This place is beyond great! This place has demonstrated the highest level of customer service I have received from any establishment since I moved to Las Vegas!
I decided to look on Unilocal to see if I can find a new animal hospital because the one I was going to was way too far and I didn’t really like their service. After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try. I called and made an apt for my pup & I spoke to a man at the front desk with such a warm happy personality. He was so nice & patient. I walked in today & I was blown away by the quality of service I received. The man I spoke with on the phone greeted me with a smile & even remembered the details of the conversation we had on the phone the day before. The ENTIRE staff was great, upbeat, super friendly & knowledgeable. I was taken care of right away. My pup was seen by Doctor Charles Coats and I cannot stress enough how freaking amazing he is. He was so nice, answered all my questions, took his time, and handled my pup with care. The tech that I saw today was also super cool, down to earth and very professional. This place exceeded beyond my expectations and I would def recommend this place to anyone who really wants their animal friend to be in the best hands possible! This place is AWESOME!!!

My baby girl, Roxy, ripped her dewclaw on Sat Morning. I called 3 places and they couldn’t get me in… Thank God because I found this Office!
The initial phone call was very welcoming & they made me feel that Roxy was important. I work with patients all day… So I am VERY Particular about patient care! I know that you will gain or lose a patient with the first phone call! THEY were wonderful! She Told me her name (I forget at the moment what it was) & she asked about Roxy. She offered an appt at 1230 but if I felt more comfortable I could come in as a walk in and wait a bit. She gave me the options! I was so impressed with her communication skills over the phone… She Represented this office Wonderfully! I trusted that they would take great care of Roxy! She was energetic & compassionate!
They got us back right away. Rachel, the assistant, was so patient and listened to me and answered all of my questions and gave me resources to research pet insurance for Roxy. That was so nice!
Dr. MONTGOMERY is absolutely Fantastic!!! She came in and within moments she was not just crouched down, BUT RATHER, literally sitting on the floor in the exam room with Dog, loving her up… Despite Doctor wearing dress pants and dress shoes, she didn’t care! She got right on the floor with Roxy! Petting her and establishing a Rapport with my dog to make her feel loved and comfortable. She did This all BEFORE she even knew that Roxy was a rescue and was previously abused before I got her at 6 months old (so she requires more TLC) … Dr. Montgomery, you are the BEST!!!
AND IT DIDNT STOP THERE! … I just received a phone call from Dr. Montgomery personally to ask how Roxy was doing and to make sure she is okay! Are You Kidding me!!! How Wonderful is this!!! Amazing Patient CARE! I am thoroughly IMPRESSED!!! Just blown away! This is how I treat my patients in our office. And I have NEVER had a doctor of any kind call me to follow up! I’m so Glad we found you! Roxy is my Everything & and am thrilled she has a doctor for Life!!! Thank You so much Dr. Montgomery & Team!!!

After seeing numerous vets in Vegas, our search has ended. Dr. Coats is wonderful and our puggle loves him! Our dog had a microscopic mite called demodecosis and after a skin scraping, the doctor was kind enough to bring out the microscope to show us. He was extremely thorough and informative with our questions, which was greatly appreciated it. The staff is patient, friendly, the office is clean and welcoming. I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes with an appointment, even if I booked the day of. Our puggle is extremely shy and picky, so we are thrilled to have finally found a doctor!

I wanted to take this opportunity to update my review so people can truly understand how great this place is. for over 10 years now the staff there having been caring for my fur babies, and I would trust no one else. I can’t tell you how many times I call there with and issue or question and dr. Wiggers is always so quick to answer any question I have. I must also mention how wonderful dr. Tak is, he truly cares for every pet as if they were his own. I also use the grooming services provided by dr. tak’s wife susie and she does an amazing job. every pet is in amazing hands at blue cross. they are a real symbol of excellence in veterinary care. Thank you blue cross for always providing outstanding care to my little ones.

Our 2 year old cat, Lil’Bear was having some stomach problems and a wonderful receptionist named Julie helped us book an emergency appointment to see Dr.Tack. He checked her our and made her feel very comfortable. After making recommendations for home remedies, he encouraged I catch her up on vaccines I fell behind on and we went home. It was a very fast, perfectly affordable care that I would recommend to anyone. We now only trust them with our three fury babies.

Do not bring your pet here. Not only are they SUPER unprofessional but they try and charge you whenever they can.

The only complaint I have is Susan the receptionist is so rude and I cringe every time I have to deal with her. My Veterinarian is Dr. Sue Wiggers and I can’t say enough good things about her. She is so very sweet and I can tell she sincerely cares for my dog. She is very knowledgeable and has been cost effective with my dogs skin problems. I’m always bummed when my schedule does not allow me to see her, however I have seen Dr. Montgomery a couple of times and I really like her as well. She is very sweet and cares for my dog as well.

I have used vets all over the country. We use this vet dr. tack for over fifteen years he is the best! I would not trust my pets with any other vet clinic in Las Vegas!

Excellent care and grooming. I live in CA but my parents and animals live in Vegas and this is the animal hospital for people who love their pets as if they are family.

Our dogs have been seeing Dr. Wiggers for the three years we have lived in Las Vegas. We had the unfortunate situation where our old dog fell seriously ill. The vet stayed in touch to check up on our dog after our initial visit with the affliction.
After several days, we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye. Dr. Wiggers and the staff were sensitive to our needs and handled the ordeal with compassion and professionalism. We were lucky to have picked this animal hospital when we moved.

Dr. Wiggers was really great with my cat, and with me as well. She took care of all my concerns, and helped make sure I wasn’t paying for anything unnecessary. She followed up personally to let me know how the lab results came out.
The rest of the staff was efficient and friendly, and were able to work me in right away without an appointment. I’ll be coming back.

I am the daughter of a veterinarian and have grown up working in the field as well, so I hate to say it but I am a bit of a «vet snob.» I was so impressed with Dr. Wiggers and her staff though, they met my approval! I have only been there once for the free check up for a NSPCA adopted dog, but it was a very good experience. My dog is very fearful at vet clinics too and Dr. Wiggers made sure to be extra gentle and gave lots of treats to make it a postive experience for my pup as well. I went to this clinic because several people had recommended it, and it definitely lived up to the recommendations.

Great location, great staff. Dr Wiggers was fantastic. We are new to the area so having a great vet like this is comforting.

Everything about this place is just amazing. I am so happy to have found Blue Cross and Dr. Wiggers. My dog actually loves going here. He starts barking in the car when we pull up.
They give the best medical care for your animal. They have never tried to do anything that was not necessary. They always give you an estimate of how much it will cost up front. Their prices are reasonable and I am sure if it was an emergency they would work with you. They would never let an animal stay in pain.
Blue Cross also has a really cute Facebook page and you can check out what is going on at the clinic. They also send out newsletters with coupons for dental discounts and reminders for upcoming services needed.
They also have a website for customers that allows you to go on and make appointments, get medical records, etc. This is a great clinic and I would never go anywhere else.

So, I mentioned a while ago I was boarding my 13 yr old cat here for 17 days. I didn’t want to have her in the car in a crate for 16+ hours a day driving to Ohio…
I spoke with Dr Wiggers about my concerns. I didn’t want her to lose 2 lbs like she did at the petsmart hotel (was only at that place for 7 days.)
Awesome experience. Not only did Dr Wiggers check on her, but the two boarding techs did, and a vet assistant. When she didn’t eat her dry food they gave her wet food.
They let me setup her little room with her catnip and blanket.
Obviously I was anxious to see her when we got back, so after unloading the car we went straight there.
lolol! Instead of losing weight she gained a few lbs. Easily fixable, but I could tell she was much better taken care of.
Happy kitty = happy mommy!

My friend gave me one of the best recommendations years ago and I have continued to bring my dogs to Blue Cross Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly and professional. Doctors Tack, Lewis and Wiggers are exceptionally caring and knowledgeable which counts a lot in my book. They listen to my concerns about my pets health and they provide options and explanations that are understandable for me to make the right choice.
One of my dog was operated for a «loose knee cap» a year ago and Dr. Lewis patiently explained what to expect before, during and after operation. Everything was handled so smoothly (from pre to post op) and my dog healed like a new dog (just like the Dr. said).
My dogs happily wag their tails for Dr. Lewis, the hospital, and boarding care. We thank you all for such wonderful care.
