Courtyard Las Vegas – Summerlin

Great location for soccer tournaments. Efficient checkin. Helpful staff. Café is HORRIBLE! Seriously bad customer service at café.

Unlike a lot of other Vegas mariott properties this one DOES NOT have the free breakfast NOR does it offer microwaves in all their rooms, seems to be a lottery. We hade 4 people in 4 different rooms and 2 had them, 2 did not. I did request one and was told if your room doesnt have one we cant get you one.
I also had a very nasty stained /​dirty towels in my room. After the microwave experience I decided not to even bother reporting it, live and learn, wont be back to this one when there are so many Mariott properties in Vegas

Decent place for just the night… friendly staff and pretty clean but could be a little better. My room had a semi-​broken door knob. One side is gold and the other side is silver like really?

So nice to stay in a place that is clean, quiet and friendly. I have tried to save money in the past staying at some of these chains with the $ 49.99 to $ 69.00 neon sign out front, and every time I have been disappointed. At the Courtyard people were friendly and helpful. Inside and outside everything was neat and clean. I did not see any cigarette butts and was not afraid to walk on the carpet in my bare feet. I am not a teenager and have a good job, so I am done with those cheap hotels.

Great greeting, helpful employees, clean facility. It’s a Courtyard and it was booked this weekend and I’m rating based on basic expectations. This isn’t a 5 star hotel so some of these reviews boggle my mind.
Women traveling alone with children and I felt safe every minute!

Ok, not by choice I’m here or a Soccer Tourney.
I missed the deal with the team do I booked my room and had to pay 40 more a night. When I had to change my reservation within the allotted time I ended up paying another 30 on top of my outrageous rate. I paid 169 a night for 2 nights in Summerlin! My ex husband had a suite at the Venetion for 159 a night.
Room was small– I king and 1 pull out couch. I was told for my rate I couldn’t get 2 queens– really? Ok but the people were nice, until I wanted to get food to go. Seriously took 30 minutes for a roast beef sandwich and soup. The lady who order the flat bread and salad after me got hers first. I would never stay here again. Front desk nice though. But never again.

Spent a few nights here on business. The room itself was alright… nothing to complain about, but nothing extraordinary either. The WIFI was pretty poor for anything other than checking Unilocal… don’t even bother if you have to set op a VPN connection. Breakfast was not included in the price, and honestly you’d do better going to Denny’s/IHOP. This hotel was chosen (not by me) because it was part of the Marriott chain, and it is allegedly in Summerlin. I’m not sure if I would call this neighborhood Summerlin. It’s ok, but I’ll look for a better place before staying again.

This is my go-​to place when I go to Las Vegas. It’s not anything special, but it is in a convenient location to the highways and is usually nice and relaxing. The staff is friendly (I stayed close to Christmas time and they left me a card), the rooms are comfortable and clean.
The only downside is that a lot of kids stay here for various sports tournaments and if their chaperons don’t pay attention they can get very rowdy. I’ve had kids running down the hallways after midnight banging on the doors. Very irritating.

Comfy beds great staff and clean rooms. We loved staying here. The only complaint is the bistro workers were a bit rude a couple times and wouldn’t serve us because they just closed. Their hours aren’t posted anywhere that I’ve seen. With that said the girls at the front desk took care of us and we’re super nice. We will be coming back.

Check-​in was extra fabulous! The person working the desk was very friendly. Sadly, it kinda went down hill from there.
It looks like they’ve done a fairly recent remodel on this Courtyard, but they skimped a bit on the rooms during the remodel. The bathroom in my room had old outdated floor tiles and crappy plastic on the surround around the tub/shower.They have horrible shower curtains that try very hard to cling to you in the shower which is not a pleasant experience knowing that the curtains have tried to cling to countless strangers in the past. Yuck! The grout between the floor tiles had a fair amount of black mold in it and there was clearly lots of the stuff growing in the pipes in the sink. The stench coming from the sink was godawful and actually got worse when the water was turned on.
The restaurants in Courtyards are just blehh. I should have just gone out to get carry out on my first night. I missed a very large chunk of the World Series game waiting for my overly microwaved food. They had only one person working in the restaurant and she was clearly overwhelmed.
Upon checkout, I attempted to get the person working the front desk to take me seriously when I told her that they really shouldn’t put anyone in that room until they tackle the mold problem, but it was clear from her tone of voice and the look on her face that she didn’t particularly care and she thought I was a complaining pain in the ass who she wished would just shut up and leave her alone. I get it… you probably get a lot of complaints, but exposing people who might be sensitive (think severe allergies or asthma) because you can’t be bothered to write it down and follow up… that really sucks.
And speaking of being a complaining pain in the ass, this hotel has the horrible Marriott pillows that are unreasonably underfilled rendering them uncomfortable and fairly useless.
So that’s it. The Summerlin Courtyard will not be at the top of my wish list for places to stay when traveling to Las Vegas. In fact, it was bad enough that I will be notifying my company’s travel department so that they can consider removing it from our preferred list.

Very nice hotel. The positives are great lobby area with lots of spaces to sit and work or watch the game in TV. Some reviews said wifi only in lobby but had it in my room. Lots of great restaurant selections close by. Ask for list at front desk and many deliver to hotel. The negatives are no free breakfast and limited parking. (hotel next door has overflow parking) overall I would stay again.

The hotel was priced fairly. It was clean and easy to get to. The service was nice and the pool was pleasant. I’d stay there again if I were ever in the area.
The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were up to date.

Staff was super friendly. Crystal at the front desk was SUPER NICE!!! Very accommodating. She helped us with a huge issue we had and was still VERY patient and understanding and even called us a cab to take us to our concert so we wouldn’t miss it. I will for sure book this hotel again.

No breakfast for soccer teams.
We were required to stay here for our soccer tournament (pretty typical) but for some reason, even though we booked with a code for out team they didn’t have any record of it and therefore we didn’t get the breakfast that they were offering for the other soccer teams.
Like it would have killed them to add us in.
The rooms are the tiniest I have seen, the pool is small and you are not allowed to eat «outside» food in the lobby or pool area. There are a million signs telling you this.
The room is clean and it is close to a lot of restaurants. It’s close to the Bettye Wilson soccer complex.
I hope to never stay here again.

So, I am used to staying at the Red Rock Casino nearby, but can’t always get a room there at a reasonable price, and I am trying to gain my Marriott points. Normally, for business I stay at Marriott’s all over the country and I can tell you that this one is very well run. Good, friendly, attentive staff and Marriott remodels their locations regularly to keep them updated. I’ve stayed here at least 10 times and my room is always clean and service is great. Employees don’t do just the minimum here. They will go out of their way to help you. I met the General Manager today and learned why. He has what we call in the insurance industry «good management concern and control» and really works well with his employees. Good morale = good operations. I think the café in the lobby is overlooked by guests most of the time. Marina, who works in the café is a very attentive and a wonderful employee who really tries to take care of guests. She is awesome and will take care of you if you eat or drink in the lobby. I have noticed a lot of regular guests who just love her. Try them out if you want to stay off strip and avoid cigarette smoke, crime, traffic, parking issues, etc.

I’ve stayed here a bunch of times and it has always been a good experience. The outside neighborhood isn’t something you’ll be stoked about, but the lobby is modern, the staff is nice, and it’s only 5 minutes from the north end of the strip. Good if you’re travelling for work and don’t like staying in hotels on the strip.

Staff is great, kind and always welcomes you when you arrive in the lobby.
Rooms are comfortable and big. Most of them have balconies. The beds are comfortable along with the pillows. The rooms have a nice desk and big TV.
The pool is amazing!!! Nice patio furniture and it is always kept clean. The hot tub was down for one day and the maintenance was on it right away. My new favorite place to relax
The work out facility is small, but has the stuff to do the job. One elliptical and two treadmills. Weight set and yoga mats as well.
The water pressure in the shower is my downfall, because I like to take baths that don’t take half an hour to fill or a shower that i can get a good clean in. But the room we were moved into did have better water pressure.
There are plenty of restaurants around town very close, within walking distance, to the hotel. They also have a full bar and happy hour in the lobby.
I would recommend staying here

We came here on a whim, power went out at our house, and decided we would just spend the night down the street lol.
Nice and clean rooms, free wifi and HBO.
Rooms have been renovated, so they are up to date and comfortable.
Wish they had a mini fridge or something. Also, the soap is extremely soapy and slimey. Watch your feet in the shower lol.
If you don’t mind being far away from the strip, it is a good place to rest.

There is hard wired internet in the rooms. Gas station and restaurants close by. Clean and convenient!
