History
Established in 2008.
I have been a certified massage therapist since 2008, receiving my 720-hour Diploma of Massage Therapy from CNI college (cni.edu) in Costa Mesa, California. I am Nationally Certified (#574 116 – 09; ncbtmb.org), California Council (#21 824; camtc.org) and Nevada (NVMT.4714; massagetherapy.nv.gov) State Board Licensed, and maintain professional membership with Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (#807 763; abmp.com).
A main draw of practitioners to the Massage Therapy profession is the motivation of helping others; I am no exception. I value listening, individual assessment, and personalized care. Treatments consist of focused, attentive, and wise application of massage and bodywork methods. By integrating ancient and modern restorative principles, attuning to specific physiological feedback, and manually reeducating muscular compensation patterns, I facilitate and encourage energetic balance, elevated self-awareness, and clear-minded presence. Relaxation is the name of the game.
Meet the Business Owner
Melissa H.
Business Owner
Massage therapy is an extensive and on-going communication process of body awareness and intelligence. As an avid rock-climber, snowboarder, hiker, traveler, and general outdoor activist, I understand the value of keeping one’s body tuned and healthy. So as to most enjoy life’s dynamics offerings, I am honored to extend my knowledge and compassion as a proficient bodyworker to those who understand the necessity of wellness. Injuries, surgeries, and other physical malaise can impede this enjoyment, and it is my mission to apply restorative potential to one’s current condition whatever that may be.
Early 2012 I traveled to Northern Thailand to receive training in Traditional Thai Massage and Herbal Compress Massage (Luk pra kob). I have also received recent continuing education in Medical Massage to better serve an increasingly health-conscious population. At the moment I am studying for yoga instructor certification with the intention of offering integrated yoga therapy.
