Let’s just say when I walked in to this establishment it felt alive. Everyone working was smiling and vibrant. The manager Ben helped me and my friends out with nothing but the best hospitality you could ever ask for, he deserves more recognition of you ask me. He gave us a wonderful run down of the menu and helped us make our decision. Ben alone would bring me back to this restaurant, highly recommend! A+!!!

I always get the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese with the Parmesan chicken. It is a very good mac and cheese. Tastes like my Grandma’s homemade version she would always make for us every Sunday. I also like rice crispy treats. They have a Coke Freestyle machine. There are usually dirty tables even though they don’t seem to be too busy.

My favorites are the Japanese pan noodles and pesto cavatappi. Good quality, clean food — you wouldn’t know it’s fast food.

I always have great service at this location. The employees are always friendly.
My bf can’t have gluten and if they are unsure they ALWAYS double check to make sure he can eat something without having to ask.
Plus it’s conveniently located.

My friends and I have gotten food poisoning from here multiple times! Even though the food is great, the side effects are not. We all got different items. I have not been there in almost a year because of this. Not my first pick, especially with all the local joints you can eat at in Lawrence.

The Japanese Pan Noodles with Pork are my go-​to every time I go here. Not too keen on the american or italian dishes since there are much better places to get them. For its price, Noodles & Co. makes for a good casual meal.

For a chain, not too shabby! Really seems to depend on what you get.
A couple tried and true items are the pad thai and bangkok curry. I’ve always found the ingredients to be fresh, and surprisingly, I like these items than similar ones that can be found at Zen Zero or Encore simply due to the right «al dente» they get their noodles to be.
Another new favorite that I’ve found here is the Thai Hot Pot. Mostly soup with a bit of noodles, meat, and veggies, this «hot pot» is perfect for cold winter days. It also comes with some flatbread that is garlicky and perfect for dipping in the hot pot soup. If you’re scared of the spiciness level, don’t be! This has just the slightest bit of heat.
Not a fancy pants place to take a date, but not bad for a place in a small town like Lawrence. Simply stick with what you find to be tasty, and don’t stray too much from that.

If I eat out, the food needs to be worth my time, effort and money.
I’m not a food critic (yes, I know, we’re all Food Critics here on Unilocal… We few, we happy, special, opinionated few), I’m just someone who knows what she likes, and isn’t willing to pay for crap food, not at any price. I don’t want bad food for five bucks and I don’t want bad food for sixty bucks. So I should excuse Noodles and Co., right? Who would expect them to be anything other than what they are, which is a chain that serves barely adequate noodles covered in various forms of protein and cheese? It’s like getting mad at a package of Raman noodles (how dare this one dollar brick of pasta be less than amazing, I was expecting culinary ART, etc, etc).
Except I’m not going to excuse this place, because while they serve Raman type subpar products, they serve them at a much higher, completely not worth it price. It’s outrageously overpriced, and the dishes that I’ve had here (tomato bisque, mac and cheese, mac and cheese with pulled pork, Thai soup, spaghetti and meatballs, and beef stroganov) have all been just. not. worth. it. Especially when you look at your bill and think jeez, I could have made four times as much at home and it would taste four times better.
It’s fast, it’s not fried, and the staff is usually pretty nice (unlike say, Ingredient: WTF is wrong with the people there? Work out your hostility on your own dime, little Ingredient-​ers). This place is almost certainly here to stay, because it seems people will forgive a lot for cheese and carbs, but it’s just not worth it, IMO. Bland as hell if you chose wisely, or outright yucky if you didn’t, and incredibly overpriced.

Great food, even better service. Had to order for a small group staying at the Eldridge Extended (about a block away). Food was delivered by foot, on time, refused tip and they don’t even deliver usually! You guys rock!

This might be a chain restaurant, but I really enjoy their food. They have a great selection of regional pasta, salad, and sandwiches.
They also have good vegetarian options. I like bringing a friend or two here because of the quiet atmosphere. It’s a good place for lunch, being able to chat and have a nice meal.
I really hate it when people get on Unilocal and downplay the food of a place just because it’s a chain. I think this place is great and I will continue to come back.

There are a few chains that are pretty well-​liked, even by people who usually do not eat at chain restaurants — Panera, Chipotle, and for sure, Noodles and Company. This places is excellent for fast, fresh food that is a step above McDonalds.
They are obviously known for their noodle dishes, so what I will focus on is my favorite meal there: a small Mac and Cheese, with meatballs, and a small side Caesar salad.
The salad is quite good — the Caesar dressing is excellent, of the «thin and lemony» variety (as opposed to the «thick and white» type), and it is just enough to whet the appetite for the mac and cheese, which combines a creamy sauce with sprinkles of fresh cheddar on top. It is not overwhelmingly cheesy, so you don’t feel like you can’t move after eating it. The meatballs are small and savory, bite-​sized.
All together, a great lunch that won’t make you feel like you just swallowed an elephant.
(And if you do have a desire for dessert, they have the best Rice Krispy treats in Lawrence that are not made in your mom’s kitchen.)

This was my first time trying the Noodles & Company chain.
The concept is interesting, but the cost and final product left me questioning my lunch choice. I was not overly impressed with our dishes. I had the Pesto (not bad, but not wow) my son the Mac and Cheese (bland). The chicken noodle soup was not bad it had a very «homemade» texture and flavor.
…my over all: middle of the road.
Will I eat there again, prolly not.
There was no «wow» or «super yum» moment to make me wake up from a deep sleep and think, man I am craving some Noodles & Company! (yeah, not gonna happen)

This is a fine restaurant… the interior is spacious and they have a great patio, simply since it is also spacious and offers a great view of Mass Street. They also have a wide variety of noodles, soups, and salads, as well as a few sandwiches that can combined to satisfy your gnawing hunger.
The up side is that you always know what you are going to get, since they are required to uphold company standards. I prefer the Asian food (the noodles, soups, and salads are good). I tried the mac and cheese once and will not be attempting that again… the sauce was a little heavy for my taste and the noodles a little overdone. I have never had this issue with the Japanese pan noodles or the pad thai – always well sauces and cooked. The curry soup is really good and I highly recommend this.
I also like that all their menu and nutrition options are available on line – so if you are trying to avoid certain things or watch what you eat, this a good place, especially since they have several options under 500 or so calories.
Even though I love knowing the exact calorie and fat counts of the food, this place is, in the end, still a chain. Over all a fine place, but in a town with so many awesome places, it would not usually be my first choice, since it is just not quite as good as some of the local places.

Just another chain that makes so-​so food. You can do better for the money.

tons of options, there is something here for everyone. service is fast and friendly, and as others have said, this place is extremely consistent in quality. atmosphere is good and while the outdoor seating area is small it is a great place to enjoy nice weather and mass street with a tasty meal at a relatively inexpensive price.

lthough this is «yet another chain,» it’s pretty darn good. Obviously the focus here is noodles, but they have a great selection of soups and salads. Consistency and reliability is always on the menu here.
Vegetarians and vegans will love the options here as they are clearly marked and the calorie conscious among us will find a large number of dishes that fit within a sensible eating plan. Dishes come in two sizes and I frequently get the Med Salad large which is filing and only 310 calories. The price can’t be beat.
Service is wicked fast, but the place can get busy so a table is sometimes hard to find and after being in Lawrence a long while, it’s a very popular spot. Be warned in the winter though. A few tables are right by the door and it gets extremely drafty. I’ve made that mistake more than once.
Look for the rice krispie treats at the checkout because life is always better with rice krispie treats!

I have spent a great deal of time walking by Noodle & Co but not until today did I set foot in the place. I decided that today was the day and took a friend to lunch.
Immediately I was struck by two things: The breadth of options available to me and the price.
First, the options. There are three menus to order from – an Asian themed one, a Mediterranean flavored menu and lastly an American menu. My friend had the Pad Thai and I ordered the Bangkok Curry.
The service was quick. We didn’t even wait five minutes before our food was put in front of us, piping hot. I tried my friend’s Pad Thai and was not all that impressed by it. My curry though blew me away. The vegetables really caught my eye and it was apparent that they had been blanched because of how bright they all were. They were cooked to the same perfect al dente that the noodles were and the sauce was flavorful without being heavy.
The price being the second thing that caught me. What did it cost for my dining partner and I to eat there? We had two of their big bowls and it only ran me $ 11.25 for the two of us.
Noodles & Co impressed the hell out of me and I will certainly be going back. Pop in if you’re looking for something quick, fresh, cheap and filling.

Noodles & Company offers food prepared in a snap in a relaxed setting. Sort of like the Chipotle of noodle dishes. Everything is highly customizable so it’s easy to get something you’ll love and avoid ingredients you don’t care for or can’t consume.
