History

Established in 2008.

I have always had a horse or a dog to play with and train as I was growing up. It led me to committing myself fully to loving, training, and assisting animals with their pet parents and teach all how to live in harmony and appreciate our different languages and cultures. I taught for two years at PetsMart and then interned with the famed Lee Mannix while attending every seminar and reading every book I could to learn more. My background with horses was sweeping in assisting in communicating with dogs. I had the opportunity to join and be certified by the National Association of Canine Scent Work as an instructor in 2012. I use this program of detection for enrichment and for sport. I truly have found no other discipline for dogs that give them a choice, allow them to be dogs and humans get to learn from the dog. It call it magic. I use all reward based methods and love sharing my creative and proven results with my friends, family, clients and pets!

I have done nose work classes with Julie in the past (pre second baby), and that’s how are acquainted. I like her sharp humor and approach with the dogs.
Unfortunately my free time is non existent so I don’t do classes anymore. Good news is that my dogs can still visit Julie because she boards. I’m not going to leave my dogs just anywhere. One of my dogs is old, and just a little nervous in new places, so he comes to Rancho Mondo along with his tiny sidekick.
They come home happy, well fed, and I have no concerns while I’m gone.
**I should also mention that when I did classes, she welcomed my baby to come. He was an infant so he hung out in his stroller, but it was still really cool. I brought my 13 y/​o to classes too and Julie was really encouraging and sweet towards her.
If you care about your dog, can take a joke, as well as constructive feedback, call Julie at Rancho Mondo.

My dog, jenny, and i have worked with Julie for about a year. I still look in amazement at how much we have learned together. Things I thought were so difficult initially are so easy now. Julie has a lot of wisdom and a lot of patience as we struggle to learn. You will never regret using Julie as your trainer!

Assaulting your client by yanking someone’s hair, let alone a pedestal-​propped ‘protégé’ leaves a lot of room for skepticism about her so-​called ‘positive reinforcement’ methods when she is so easy to inflict pain on a person. I would strongly urge any future clients to pander Miss Eskoff and keep on her good side, lest you get the brunt of her wrath. Pandering is her specialty; she works better when everyone has smoke up their skirt.
Sleep well, Miss Eskoff. So much for us «doing it better together,» though I must say your ‘better’ bedside manner is by far worst than anyone I have ever worked beside. Dangerous the empowerment you speak, and how little you mean it. But at least you got paid, right?
I see who, what, why, and how you are the way you are, Julie. But most of all, I see YOU. Pity. Stick with the dogs, Julie; people are clearly NOT your forte.
Keep my surcingle. Keep my training logs. Keep it all. I’ll keep my honor and integrity intact.

Julie is amazing and has a passion for what she does best, caring for beautiful people and their pets. I began working with Julie for training with my puppy. She was patient and every lesson went over the hour, she gets results! She is loving and caring, my young pup boarded with her while I was away for a few days. I met a new pup when I picked her up. The other thing I love about Julie is she likes working in different locations and environments to make your dog socially adapted! We will be out to the ranch and visit soon! Keeping it up! My energetic part-​husky mix, Frost, flunked out of the group class at the pet store. Doing private lessons with Julie Eskoff turned my dog around. She is still energetic, of course, but with much better manners. People in my cul-​de-​sac comment on how much better behaved Frost is now!

I’ve worked with Julie for nearly a year. She has been fabulous. Lilo & I take Noseworks with her and are about to go to our very first trial. I am completely confident, because Julie has prepared us so well. I really appreciate that she tailors her instruction to the needs of each dog — no cookie cutter here!

I first met Julie years ago while she was the go to trainer at a big box pet store, where I might add, she outshone others, and I knew it was just a matter of time before she spread her wings and shared her gifts on a more personal level.
A quick synopsis of our days training with her: We put our challenged pittie, Pickles, through two levels of training courses with Julie. Pickles was not your average pittie. He was very LOW energy, got frightened when people stared him in the eye, and was afraid of concrete floors (wha?!!).
Cut to training: slowly but surely, Pickles eventually became an excitable pup with no fear of the hard and shiny concrete floors he was forced to ice skate across. Oh yes, and he also learned how to sit, stay, relax (with only hand gestures) and «leave it» in the midst of it all. He is now an absolute joy.
Most recently, we had a Christmas portrait photo op with Pickles and Julie, which she dubs, The «Red Couch» portraits. The photos came out fantastic and are a must do for anyone who is as obsessed with their pooch (es) as I am. She even donates a portion of the proceeds to a local Pittie rescue group.
Summing it up– Julie is God’s gift to all things dog.

I am a professional Dog Walker and I got a call from Julie Eskoff, owner of Rancho Mondo NW Canine Center asking for help sitting and walking seven of her dogs while she would be away on business in Houston. Out of the three Jack Russell’s and four Pit Bulls, one dog in particular grabbed my attention and captivated me. Murphy is an 80lb Pit Bull who was rescued from a shelter… and had been with Julie for just 5 months. She turned him from a dog with no rules to an obedient big softie who now walks loose leash, sits to greet and knows how to heal. She even taught Pearl, another of her Pit Bulls, how to speak with an inside voice and an outside voice. Now how do you even start to do that? Ask Julie, she knows!

I was referred to Julie by a friend and took her up on the in-​home evaluation with my new puppy. I opened the door to a lady covered in dog hair with the stereotypical doglady voice. After 1 hour with her; Charlie learned to sit, go to his crate, and scratch the door when he wants to go outside.
The dog hair and voice didn’t bother me anymore.
Julie truly loves animinals. She loves on them like they’re her babies. She is complimentary, supportive, instructive, and firm. I kinda want her to raise my (unborn) children.
When I had to go out of town I had no reservations about leaving Charlie with Julie. In addition to boarding him, she trained him to walk on a leash (yeah, I have the ONE dog that doesn’t enjoy walking) and to sit when I stop walking. He came away with better than when he left.
Julie is the answer to every scared dog owners prayers.
