Staybridge Suites Baltimore Bwi Airport

I don’t hand out 5 stars easily. This specific Staybridge has gone well above the standard motel/​hotel we’ve stayed in over the past 5 years. We travel and stay at different chains based on ratings and expense, ¾ times annually. We were very comfortable in our very clean room, stocked with our basic needs, i.e., shampoo, clean towels, etc. Since we were in a VERY affordable efficiency we were also supplied kitchenware, etc. They thought of everything. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful — and not just the front desk staff. The breakfast (complimentary) was the best we’ve had with plenty of places to sit and enjoy it without feeling rushed. This was a leisure trip and within 20−30min from everything we wanted to do in and around Baltimore. Lastly, it was quiet! Gotta love that!

They charged us the full room rate, even though we were supposed to get their military rate. On top of their regular rate, they charged us $ 75 for our pet (without any pet fee notification before checking in). Really? My short haired dog is going to leave fur? Tell that to whomever was in my room before, because there was a long black hair in my bed. And my hair is short and PURPLE.

My boyfriend and I moved to Maryland from WA state and stayed at this hotel for a couple weeks while we looked for a house. I’m so glad we decided to stay here. Every single staff member was so kind and welcoming, always answered every question with a smile. The room was clean and comfortable and the little kitchenette was perfect for the 2 of us to get by without eating out all the time.

Had to stay here for a little over a week while I wait for my things to arrive while moving across the country with my wife and 2 kids. Because I under estimated the time we would need we ended up having to change rooms in day 7. The first room was one of the just renovated 2 bedroom suites which was great. The room was in great shape, had a full fridge countertop range and microwave with all the dishes you would need. The room was extremely comfortable and floor very quiet. The 2^nd room was a little bit older 1 bedroom suite. Same amenities but not in as good condition (although still better than most hotels). The floor was much louder for some reason and because I was directly across the hall from the elevator I could hear it move up and all all the time. Still not a bad room overall. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful especially when the time came to extend my stay and they were booked. Breakfast is free 7 days a week and dinner available tue-​thur. I both cases the food is ok although they routinely ran out of whatever they were serving (my only real complaint). All and all a great hotel to stay in with a family or for extended stay.

Pleasantly surprised at this hotel, as I was a first time visitor. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Take advantage of the ‘happy hour’ and hot breakfast. Customer Service at it’s finest. I don’t remember the lady that checked me in, however she signed me up for the rewards program. The van driver, housekeepers and wait staff were all pleasant. DeMarco checked me out and gets an A+++++, professional demeanor and knowledge. There is no ATM in this hotel.

I must admit I was a little skeptical with the pricing so low during Valentine’s Day weekend being so close to the city. The hotel and staff were fantastic for the 2 nights the wife and I stayed there.
We checked in very late and arrived to a friendly front desk lady who got us squared away fast and was very helpful with questions. We got into our room which was much nicer looking in person but was very clean, cozy and welcoming. The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in at a hotel and I’ve been in all kinds of 3 – 5 star hotels around the country.
We decided to take advantage of our in-​room kitchen and cook our Valentine’s day dinner ourselves. We put together some Blackened Chicken, Crab Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus, Cream of Crab Soup, and a Mango Salmon all cooked in our room. My wife thought we had an oven in the room when we purchased our groceries, but when we arrived back the room didn’t have one. The staff was very helpful and without any questions threw the wife’s Salmon in their oven for her.
Every encounter with the staff was very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the bed very much as well as the shower. There was a nice Moen shower head with good pressure that was very relaxing. The continental breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of foods to choose from.
Next time we’re in the area we won’t hesitate to stay at the Staybridge Suites again and it’s worth the short drive from the Inner Harbor instead of staying in town.

We like Staybridge for all the factors: great breakfast bar included, laundry facilities and good workout room that is never busy. Free wi-​fi all that stuff and the staff is really, super nice and friendly.
They also have free beer and wine during the week and a complimentary dinner offering Tues-​Thursday nights. Really good deal for business folks.
This location needs a bit of remedial training on the housekeeping stuff. Floors in the breakfast area are sticky. They did not clean up very well after breakfast, food on most of the tables at 11:30 when we stopped by for a coffee to go. Noticed the same thing in the rooms, sticky stuff on the cook top and coffee splashed in the sink, not checked by room checkers. I found that I had to refresh the room when we checked in. No extra TP and bathroom could have been a tiny bit shinier.
All in, I would still recommend this chain in any town, we have spent many nights with them in various cities and it’s a good value. Especially good for long term stays.

Created an account just because of this place. Staying here right now. These people are awesome. Great staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Plus Tuesday thru Thursday they have free beer and food.

Awful. I had a reservation here (that I had had for a week) on Sunday night May 25^th. I pulled up at 11PM after driving for 11 hours. I was told that they were overbooked and would not have a room for me. I’m also Ambassador Gold level with IHG. That’s where you pay $ 200 per year for upgrades and late checkouts. Not only did they not honor my reservation, they never called me to give me a heads up and there were no open hotel rooms of any kind in a 30 mile radius! I ended up finding a Holiday Inn in Timonium that Staybridge did pay for but I had to find it on my own in the middle of the night. Don’t stay here unless it’s your last option. There’s an Embassy Suites across the street as well as a Sheraton. No one should have a confirmed reservation at a hotel and be turned away. Avoid.

Great choice in the BWI area. We stayed for 3 nights for a family wedding in the area. Nicely set up rooms; very clean. Only complaint is that the trash/​recycling had not been removed from under the sink when we got in. The breakfast offered is very good and the manager’s reception is a bonus if you don’t want to go out for dinner during the week. Nice location; 15 minutes to downtown Baltimore.

I lived here for several months, and I can honestly say that this was the best hotel experience that I’ve ever had. I’ve stayed in more luxurious hotels, but this one had a unique way of making the guests feel at home. The staff was as friendly and accommodating as possible, and the facility is clean, updated, and well-​appointed. The location is convenient to the airport, and a short drive into downtown Baltimore.
I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed for an «extended stay» (weeks…) It’s a recently upgraded hotel, but don’t let the aesthetics fool you. Housekeeping is sporadic and not very useful. They do make the bed, empty the trash and change towels daily… but my annoyance is that it took a while and a complaint for them to vacuum and help wipe things down — (There is only so much cleaning you can do with the provided rag and dish soap).
The pool is tiny, don’t expect much.
The staff is friendly, which is nice.
Breakfast and social hour is good and you may be able to be frugal if you really need.

AMAZING SERVICE and professional staff. Somehow got upgraded to a suite and loved every added amenity. Staff was polite, attentive and friendly. Room was well kept and felt top notch. Came in the middle of the week so they had complimentary dinner, beer and wine AND complimentary breakfast. My fiancé and I both joked we wanted to just stay there forever!

One of the best hotels I have stayed in in quite a while. I spend around 10 nights in a hotel each month and am very pleased with the service, cleanliness, price and location. Breakfast is good and during the week have an evening «meal».

I have never had a bad experience at a Staybridge Suites. Staybridge BWI was no different. Room was nice and cozy — bed was phenomenal. I don’t know what they do to those Staybridge beds, but man, I never wanna get out of them!
As usual, staybridge breakfast is awesome. Breads, bagels, oatmeal, grits, omelettes, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. Social Tuesday — Thursday nights with free beer & wine & basically dinner. Oh & free cookies in the lobby in the afternoons /​evenings.
I got a welcome bag for being a Platinum member. Free laundry! Items in the pantry are pretty pricey — but that’s nothing new.
My only complaint would be the parking. It’s odd. It’s all around back, and there are two back entrances. The problem with this is that they go directly into the dining /​living area of the hotel. If you’re trying to bring in or take out your luggage, you’re either fighting to open & fit through the door and/​or fighting around people trying to eat breakfast. Otherwise you can walk allllll the way around to the front entrance. Silly setup if you ask me.

Ehhh… definitely not worth the price. We had a 5 day stay and were not impressed. Bugs on the floor, toilet seat paint came off on legs & buttocks, clocks that were set 20 minutes fast and no one knew how to adjust them.
Wifi is CRAZY slow. I mean ridiculous. Our iphone 3G was wayyyy faster.
The pool is tiny…5 foot is the deepest. The pool can most likely only hold about 5 people. If there are kids in the pool, forget it. There are about 6 lounge chairs and its only sunny from 9 – 3 because the hotel building blocks the sun out. You have to sign in every time you enter the pool area, for what reason I don’t know.
The best parts would be the free breakfast and social hour. The breakfast has a ton of options to eat. You can also take some food for your lunch if you really wanna be frugal. Tuesday-​Thursdays have the ‘social hour’. Meaning, they make burgers, chicken, or soup 5:30 — 7:00 pm for free. There was beer, wine, or pop to drink.
Maids come in at random times. Don’t expect that they came in at 3:00 three days in a row that they will come in near 3:00 the next day. I was changing my clothes and the maids knocked at 11:00 and expected me to get out.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I typically try to avoid hotels that are super close to the airport. In my experience, they’ve tended to be a little more worn or tired. That was definitely not the case with this Staybridge Suites. The hotel feels relatively new, but this may be due to the fact that everything is kept very clean and well-​maintained.
My suite was spacious, and I loved having the kitchenette: a full-​sized fridge, a small sink, a microwave and even a small stovetop. The king-​sized bed was very comfortable. My only quibble with the room is that there was very little counter space in my bathroom.
I didn’t have the opportunity to use the fitness center, but I poked my head in. While small, there was an elliptical trainer, a treadmill and free weights.
The breakfast was pretty awesome — oatmeal, cereals, pre-​made omelets, breakfast sausage, gravy and biscuits, boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit (including sliced pineapple), waffles, and breakfast breads.
Parking seemed to be a little limited (it was really busy when I visited), but I still managed to find a space in the evenings.
I guess I should reconsider my preconceived notions about airport hotels!

I have found my new favorite IHG Brand. After having a bad experience down the road at the Candlewood Suites I checked in here for the remainder of my stay in Baltimore. I wish I had just come here first.
I stayed in a 1 bedroom King suite. It was better than I expected. Marble counter tops, tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom, comfortable sofa and chair. Also the bed is very comfortable with an assortment of pillows. The Internet is very fast and easy to use no annoying constant logins.
They have a very nice FREE breakfast buffet in the mornings and 3 days a week they have a light dinner and drinks on the house. There is free laundry room (you need your own soap), and a convenience store with cokes and small items. As this is priced in the same range as the Candlewood Suites it’s a no brainer come here you will be glad you did.
