Great experience. The office is nice and clean the owner was friendly smiling and so kind. He smiled and laughed with my baby. He offered me a discount right away. The staff is also very polite and friendly and gave me water. I would use them again. they are located right on PCH. The prices are very good and the service is even better

5 STAR SERVICE ALL THE WAY !!! I first started coming here back in 2003, and nothing has changed. Bob still is the most pleasant person in any business I go to, and his old school one on one service and his customer service keeps me coming back. As for wait times, there is none, fast in and fast out, and your off to re-​register to car. And he also gives a Military Discount to both retired and active duty. If you like old school ways in personable service, then this is the place. If you have not been here before, I highly recommend Bob. You will not regret it.

What a pleasant place! Par for the course with me, I didn’t see that I needed a smog when I paid my registration. I kept forgetting to take care of it. So Unilocal and all these nice people with their reviews led me to this place. Bob is just the nicest guy, assuring me that everyone makes this error, calling me by my name, and being very receptive to eveyone in the waiting room. I HATE! waiting. I had 2 ½ cars ahead of me (½ a car because Bob was finishing up with it). I really didn’t mind waiting at all. It went by very fast.
Even better is this place is around the corner from my house. This is now my new smog check place.

Excellent service. I showed up at 12:30 on a Saturday so I wasn’t sure if I would get in. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I was done in about 20 – 30 minutes. He let me know exactly what I needed to do to complete my registration. Will definately hit them up again in 2 years for my next registration.

Just like everyone says, this place is fantastic. It’s not just about the service (smog check) it’s about how wonderful these people are.
The woman behind the desk is very friendly, and the gentleman doing the smog check is very quick but nice as well.
A 100% mom and pop kind of place and it was 100% worth it!

The man who was running the place was very efficient; I was done in about 15 minutes and the store operator was very professional. Only drawback is elevated cost compared to previous smog checks, but maybe worth it when you don’t have the time, which was my issue.

Just returned from at least my 4th trip there… I can’t believe that I haven’t Unilocaled it before!
Bob runs a clean, efficient, tight ship. It’s close to my house. He’s friendly and very professional. I usually make an appointment, but yesterday, I just dropped in. I needed to submit my certificate that same day! I think he retired from Toyota or something years ago. He’s a real car and motorcycle guy, I believe. He also has great magazines: Car & Driver, Robb Report, Popular Mechanics…
You can probably save a few bucks somewhere else, but I’m sold. I don’t bother and just keep coming back here. It probably helps that my cars pass every time.

Mom & Pop shop! Linda and Bob were very friendly. I came in on a Saturday at around 11:30AM (They are open 9AM-​1PM on Saturdays). There were two cars in front of me and I must say I was there from beginning to end for about 45 minutes. They explained everything and I walked away a very satisfied customer.

I came here this past Saturday because I needed a smog check for my car registration. Found this place on Unilocal and since it was really close to my house decided to come here. Service was great, I was in and out in less than 30 mins even with two other customers before me. The owner was friendly and very helpful

This place is the place to come for a smog check. People are very nice and efficient.
Whole process about 10 minutes. I’ve been here in the past and other places, too. Now, I would never go elsewhere. Sometimes the process of a smog check can be a pain, with long waits and surly people. Not here. These people are great.

I seriously doubt you’ll ever find a better smog check experience. This place is classic Mom and Pop. Bob Gavola is the owner. His wife works in the office.
Bob gave me a recommendation on a muffler repair that I needed. This is not part of his job; he was just being helpful.
The waiting area is cozy and clean. RECOMMENDED.
