Truly brokenhearted to find this place has closed. I will dearly miss the Chilaquiles & stuffed French toast.

Super cute patio out back (hence the restaurant name I’m guessing).
I came in with a friend for brunch on a weekday. Our waitress was great and suggested that we share a huevos rancheros and a duo with chilaquiles and stuffed french toast. So so pleased with our order — and we had so much food between the two of us!
The Chilaquiles was like breakfast nachos — yum!
Huevos rancheros — oh gosh. Eggs benedict with chorizo and jalapeños. Those jalapeños were so bomb with the eggs benedict and chorizo. Home fries were good too!
Blueberry stuffed french toast — Yum!
They make their salsa fresh everyday, so make sure and ask to try some of that!

Simply put, any place you can get a combo that includes French toast and Chilaquiles is a winner! So what if their version of Chilaquiles is basically cheesy nachos with eggs, it was still pretty good!
The patio here has a nice little bubbling fountain that sets the tone for a perfect and quiet weekend brunch. The service here is prompt, helpful and friendly.
As we were leaving this place someone told us that the restaurant had been bought by another group and will be closing within the next month? I’m not sure if there was any validity to that statement but if true that’s a little disappointing.
Here’s to hoping that a change in ownership doesn’t mean that the place will be permanently shuttered.

There’s no shortage of stellar breakfast joints in Long Beach so I was surprised when the BF suggested we try a place that wasn’t in our reliable Sunday breakfast repertoire (namely Starling Diner, The Attic, or Potholder). Surprise was quickly transformed into delight. So here’s the 411 on the 212.
The atmosphere of this place is quaint like many of the cafes and patio restaurants in Long Beach (part of the charm of LB). There’s a great patio space in the back with a cool little fountain that had the 5-​year-​old seated next to us mesmerized. Mesmerized, that is, until her food arrived.
I got the «duo» plate (something they’re apparently known for). The duo plate is comprised of a heaping pile of chilaquiles and two slices of cream-​cheese-​filled blueberry french toast. The chilaquiles was great; the chips were still toasty and crisp (not too soggy). A good ratio of eggs to queso fresco. The french toast was amazing. Cream cheese is a bit heavy but the bread is light and the blueberries add a refreshing tart. The duality of sweet and savory really works. They say it takes two to tango, and the duo tangoed right into my belly.
The BF also got a duo plate but subbed the blueberry french toast with a special: banana bread french toast. BANANA BREAD FRENCH TOAST? That is so friggin’ smart. And it turned out to be amazing. The banana bread wasn’t dry at all; it was moist and a slight crisp on the outside gave it the slight crunch that great french toast should have. GET IT. If they have it, GET IT.
Hook, line and sinker. This place definitely won me over. I did overhear, however, that it is going through a transition to new management next month. I hope they keep the spirit and key specials intact. Will be back!

We went to have our last breakfast (before going home to Canada) only because another Unilocaler-​follower advised us it had good reviews.
I can attest to their experience. It was lovely! The waitress greeted us and took us to the inner garden that is nicely decorated and inspired sense of peacefulness and relaxation (however I have a feeling it’s only cause it was early in the morning, after all they had bottomless memozas on menu).
Food was really good and lots of it! I got stuffed French toast and it stuffed me after two pieces (and there were 4!). They had big selection of all sorts of breakfasts. I will definitely come back :)
One thing that made me laugh a lot is their bathroom. I mean the mirror in the bathroom. I am 5“3′ and I could only see the very top if my head, so ladies — jump if you aren’t tall: P

Came here for a mimosa brunch. The place itself is cute. There’s limited seating indoors, but ample seating outdoors (which is the better place anyways!). The patio is a perfect place to grab breakfast on a sunny day — there’s even a small fountain and some flowers growing nearby, so the environment is really cozy.
No complaints on service, they kept the mimosas flowing the entire time we were there. Bottomless mimosas are $ 15, which is pretty standard.
What was lacking though, was the breakfast menu. Everything was so basic and boring. I ended up getting scrambled eggs with sausage and cheese, home fries, and toast. Honestly, it’s really something I could’ve made at home myself. I wish they had more options, but regardless, this is still a decent place to grab breakfast.

So my girlfriend came down to see me for lunch and she had picked this place due to it’s Unilocal review. I feel bad giving them a 2 star but that is based primarily on their food.
A: Service & Ambiance — cute little outdoor patio with umbrellas, it was getting hot. Server was nice
D: Mexican Egg Nacho? — I don’t know, as soon as we opened the menu, everything was so basic, nothing really enticing so I was going to opt out for the burger as the safe choice. However, when talking to the server, she recommended this Mexican Nacho dish in which they were known for so I figured, why not and added pork to the dish. The pork was dry, the flavor and texture was «weird» You have soft eggs on chips :/​I had to douse a ton of hot sauce on it just to be sated :/​
I think my friend had the wrap which, again, she doesn’t share lol but we both had a lot left over and we didn’t bother to take it home. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be back.

My gf and I checked this place out or lunch. Seemed like a cute place to go to with a cute patio in the back. The patio was nice. It had a cute little garden with a little fountain and all the tables had umbrellas to block the sun…
When we opened the menu, we could already see that this place didn’t really care about the food so much. Their popular dish was Mexican style nachos with eggs… To me, that didn’t sound that great, but my gf decided to go for it. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap. Both dishes were Meh and ended up not finishing most of it. They asked us if we needed a to-​go box, but we told them no thanks.
I don’t think we will come back here again.

212 Patio Bistro is a very chill, relaxing breakfast/​brunch spot in Long Beach. There’s plenty if brunch spots in LB, but this one has a real hometown feel. When you sit in the nice outdoor patio in the back, you feel like your in someone’s backyard and about to enjoy a delicious meal. I came here on a Sunday for brunch. It was a little busy, but the wait was only 5 – 10 minutes.

Parking can be scarce in this area. It’s street parking only so you might have to park a block away or across the street.

Our waiter was very friendly and had a positive and funny attitude. The only thing was that he didn’t come by to refill our coffee or water.

Trio: Pozole, chilaquiles, and a vanilla cream cheese stuffed French toast with fresh blueberries. This was my first time trying pozole and it really wasn’t that impressive. The flavor wasn’t that great to me. The chilaquiles was pretty good. I liked the fresh salsa that they put on top. The blueberry French toast was the perfect size and wasn’t that sweet at all which was nice since its usually way too sweet.
Chorizo eggs Benedict: Delicious! This would just be your typical eggs Benedict, but I love how they add on some jalapeños on top. It adds the perfect amount of flavor and heat to the dish. I would definitely order this again.
I will definitely be back to get the eggs Benedict again and possibly to try some of the other dishes. They also have mimosas. $ 8 for one or $ 15 for unlimited. Enjoy!

I have been a customer way back since it was a Lesbian Breakfast Place, it seems like with every subsequent owner the food just gets worse. Nothing spells failure like cold food. Nothing spells I won’t be back like microwaved to rubber food ! Sorry Robert the waiter, but your place really really dropped quality. :(

My best friend and I started a tradition of going here whenever it’s one of our birthdays to enjoy brunch and bottomless mimosas ($ 15).
Parking is a bit tough to find since it’s street parking but if you just drive to the nearest corner and explore street neighborhood parking, you’ll easily find something within a few block radius. You’re gonna need that walk back to the car to digest your food or sober up anyways so go ahead and park far!
My best friend always get the chorizo (pork sausage) huevos benedictos and I always get the florentine benedictos (mostly veggies). And we are always both satisfied with our meals!
This second time around, the waitress found out that it was my birthday so she offered their special blueberry stuffed french toast on the house. And omg, I was already full from my food but I couldn’t stop eating the french toast because it was sooooo yummy. It literally just melted in my mouth with each bite. Next time I come back, I’m going to order my own portion of french toast!
They are not stingy with the mimosas so drink up and drink at your own pace! You’ll be buzzed before you know it!
Also, there was a 10% off the bill if you check in on Unilocal!So check in, eat up, and drink up! =D

Rob the waiter is the best. Funny accommodating really knows how to please. Bottomless mimosas help as well.
As for the food… Wow. Creative, tasty fresh and very well presented !
Come here for brunch sit in the back patio and soak on the California winter sun while the rest of the nation digs itself out of the relentless blizzards.

Hey Unilocalers… I found a «flavorful» and Mmm… delicious country gravy here that I don’t think will disappoint… I’ll give it a «A». B+ at a minimum. Another Unilocaler commented on it, so I had it on the side to taste. The only other great country gravy I found so far is at Jongewaard’s Bake n Broil in Long Beach.
I order the Eggs Benedict; Generly well made and looked good… the hollandaise was spot on… good tasting… not to tart and not too yokey. I really enjoyed it. It’s worth a try. It gets a «B».

This place looks small from the outside. But they have an backyard outdoor seating area you don’t see from outside. It’s nice when the weather good. Didn’t see any parking other than street parking but it wasn’t difficult to find parking.
We came here for brunch and had the half chilaquiles and french toast special. The french toast was blueberry and cream filled inside. It was delicious. The chilaquiles was okay. add some salsa, hot sauce, and/​or salt and you’re good. The chilaquiles is tortilla chips with stuff on top of it. It seems more of an appetizer or snack, not a breakfast item.
Service was nice. Nothing fancy or special. Just nice.

212 Patio Bistro really does not disappoint! I discovered them while looking on Unilocal for a good breakfast spot while in Long Beach. They offer excellent specials and even bottomless mimosas for $ 15!
You have the option of sitting inside or outside on their patio! The Long Beach weather is awesome so we sat outside by a really cute fountain. The service is really fast and helpful!
The coffee is so yummy! No burnt taste here! Nice and smooth! My husband and I both knew what we wanted after we heard the specials. I choose the crab benedict and my husband choose the duo of Chilaquilles and blueberry cream cheese french toast. My Crab benny came with a biscuit, pesto, bacon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce! Every bite was so, so yummy! My husband’s was just as good! With the french toast you don’t even need syrup!
If we lived in Long Beach I would so be coming here ALL the time. I love that in the evenings they offer live music! It would be a really great place to see a local musician and get some excellent food! We will for sure be back on our next visit!

I had a great brunch experience here! The $ 15 bottomless mimosas are a good deal, but do note that the pour is not too strong. We ended up ordering two of their most popular dishes: the French Toast and Chilaquiles.
Great portion sizes, more than enough for two! The Chilaquiles was my favorite. The location is small and quaint but they do have an outdoor patio in the back of the bistro. It was nice to enjoy a delicious brunch in the warm weather. Staff was warm and friendly and the service was great.

I came here for breakfast on Friday and had been wanting to try it. Little cafes and local spots in long beach are my thing now. lol
The location is cool, you gotta find street parking though. keep that in mind. It was very clean in the inside which is pretty small. We sat on the outdoor patio of course since it was so pretty. It was surrounded by lush landscaping and beautiful flowers. Our server Robert was great, very polite and professional.
The food was good… not great. I enjoyed my eggs very much. The way i asked for them to be cooked was the way they came out. My sausage was good too. I didn’t really care of the biscuits and gravy. It was a little cold and the gravy was a bit bland, nothing special. The french toast was great! It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of powdered sugar.
What I hated was the flys since its so much greenery outside. You may want to think twice about sitting outside. Its very lovely on the patio but the flys were a little annoying, not the restaurants fault of course, but its something to think about. I’ll return soon for lunch someday.

This place was absolutely amazing! Not only did the have quick and friendly service, but the food left us satisfied and mouths watering with over delight for what we would order next time!
He had the basic breakfast with eggs and bacon and pancakes, with the choses option of «flavored cake.» lol We were like flavored cake ehhhhh??? All she had to do was say bacon and cheddar as an option and we were sold. Add a dab of maple syrup each bite and u have a massive food boing lol. EXCELLENT CHOICE!!!
I had my very first poached egg. Which me and eggs make love every day. I CRAVE them. So i was very thankful when it came out just rightttt. I didn’t even chew. I inhaled. And it had spinach and tomatoe underneath for that extra love.
Of COURSEEEE I chose unlimited mimosas! Not only was the cup she served me HUGE (not those dinky glasses that most places will cost your left ball chopped off for), but they also served me a back up medium sized pitcher that filled the glass two more times without having to flag down the waiter. Which she was always a look away anyways. Super sweet!
And we sat outside in the most perfect weather. I will def be back for round two! Left happy, giggly, satisfied, with money still left in our pockets!

Deceivingly small from the outside. They have a huge patio area, hence the name, but we went with inside seating because the weather was a bit chilly. They are really friendly; everyone who helped us out was so nice and funny too. We went with some Blood Marys and Mimosas to start. They make their own bloody mary mix here and it was good! Missing a couple of my favorite items like olives and it could be a tad spicier, but it was good.
We went with some eggs, bacon, and blueberry pancakes, then the huevos benedictos, and the special of the day: crab fritata. The blueberry pancakes were my favorite of the entire meal. Fresh blueberry in fluffy pancakes, not too sweet, nice tartness. The potatoes that came with the fritata and the benedict were dry and boring. The crab fritata was wet and soggy. Tasted like it was steamed instead of baked.
