Cal Coast Termite & Pest

I’ve used this service now for over a year on my primary home and very pleased with their service. Recently, I’ve used them to correct a bug problem at a family member’s house and they solved the problem of spiders and silver fish very quickly. My normal tech that does my monthly service, Ramon, is extremely nice, professional and does a great job at keeping my home bug free. I highly recommend this service. 5 Stars.

So far the best pest control hands down! Even better than the orkin company. Ramon and Juan are very thorough and friendly. Not only do they answer your questions but they ask questions themselves, just to be sure they’re clear and can take care of the areas of concern. Highly recommend this company.

Called these people on the phone very helpful, although they do use pesticides when dealing with bees :(always rescue them the population is so low.

Best service and you only have to call one time! Working with contractors I know from experience that sometimes I have to make several calls to get the work done. Not with Cal Coast, one call and I can get my work done. They also are very polite and clean up after themselves. Very good prices and outstanding work.

My escrow company doubled paid. They called me, proactively, and sent me a refund. Responsive, timely, professional, easy to work with.

In a home sale situation, I ended up with dueling termite clearance companies; through no fault of the companies. It was a bit tense and confusing all around, but I want to commend Cal Coast for saving me by staying after an inspection to do an hour of unscheduled work. It was hot and uncomfortable, but Ralph and Jaime were very gracious.

Did a good job on the free estimate and follow up, we will probably use them for the Fumigation as we need it for our property.

I had the nearly the exact same experience as J.K. (the 4÷5÷2015) review.
In October I had rats. They did an exclusion in our crawlspace under our house. We asked them to put traps in the crawlspace because there may still be rats who would then be trapped in the house. They refused. Then, in March, a rat that was trapped in the crawlspace ate through our floor and caused significant damage. I called them to come back, and they charged me $ 225 to put traps to get the rat.
I expected them to do the work at no extra charge and fix the hole in my house, and when I called to speak to a manager, I have been waiting over six weeks to hear back. I call once a week and am told someone will call me back. No one ever does.
Horribly run business.

The only reason they’re getting 1 star is because Unilocal doesn’t allow for none. Terribly run business and no accountability. Had rats, we thought we caught them all… But a couple months later, we found we had at least one in the house still. They accepted no responsibility even though I also paid for exclusion work. Tried to charge me for exclusion work twice even though it’s «guaranteed». On the 4^th check back they just completely bailed because I expected them to complete the exclusion work at no extra charge. Instead of patching a hole they missed the first time. Their solution was just to not show up for a check back.
To top it off… Paid for them to spray for ants and silverfish… Guess what I still have.
If you want someone to attempt a job but not complete it. These are your guys.
Edit: I received a message saying they would like to resolve the issues about a month ago. I replied, no response. Finally I called. Talked to the office manager and she assured me that they’d like to clear this up, and could do another spraying for ants at no charge and that she would get back to me after contacting her supervisor about taking care of the remaining rats. (A job I had already paid for, exclusion service and extermination) apparently exclusion work is not guaranteed even if it’s something this company over looked or missed.
Well… Guess what? Once again they haven’t contacted me back and much like the service they provided… It was unfinished and half assed. Paid for a service that was not provided in completion and no accountability on their end… Again.
Do yourself a favor and use another exterminator. One that guarantees exclusion work so they can’t attempt to get you to pay twice for their mistakes.

We just moved into a house with a terrible ant and spider problem. Their prices were excellent so we went with them and have a quarterly contract. Ants are all gone inside the house, however outside they are still lingering. Might be common for as big of an ant problem as the one we have.

My first 2 experiences with Cal Coast were great. Jesse came in and quoted the jobs the same day or the next business day; and the work was completed the following day. Very courteous and professional. My main issue was (on their follow up on my second service) for an item that was missed, but was paid for in the original quote. I called the day I noticed it was not completed. I received a call back that day, but missed the call. I called back twice after and I did not receive a call back. In my opinion, if there is no $ involved for a follow up, there must be less motivation to call back. It is unfortunate that they either forgot or chose not to follow up with me. I am not sure if I will use this company again.

1star because I don’t have any other option. I used this company almost 4years ago with my last house and they were awesome. I naturally wanted to use them again with the sale of my current house, what a mistake.
It took me 2weeks to get back to me after about 6 messages and multiple calls. In between these failed attempts of contacting them I had 2 other termite companies come out and quote me.
I finally got a call back with a million excuses why they can’t call people back.
I had Derek come out and inspect the house. He seemed like nice guy when he came out. I told him I was the seller on the property and the inspection was for escrow purposes. He took down all the escrow info.
He told us we had two options to spot treat or tent .We chose to spot treat. We waited for the email to confirm for four days. I had to call Jessica and request the email that was supposed to be sent right after the inspection.
I scheduled the apt and then a few days before I was told I had to cancel my apt because they had no idea it was «in Escrow» and had to wait closer to the close date. Which we to Derrick and Jessica and they even took the escrow info down .
We rescheduled and then got a call back a few days later and was told they had to Tent if by law. I was told that since they gave it as a option they had to do it by the board of pesticides…
So that was a lie. I talked to multiple companies and said that was a lie. I then was told by the office secretary Jessica that Derrick would call that day or the next to explain this lie to me. It took 6days to get a call. I was then lied to over and over again then told at the end of the conversation that since I was «the buyer» which they all knew I was the seller it was best for me to tent the house for my future in the house. Hello !!! What a Lier everyone knew that I was the seller and they took all my info for escrow to charge escrow. Derrick then told me after drilling him about this lie of having to tent because they gave it as a option, that it was a flat out lie being a law that the board of pesticides follow. He said that’s what most people in his recommendation want as a buyer. So you just want to lie to me so I spend another $ 1,700.0 because you want more money. What a joke, they offered me a $ 100.0 discount for there problems
Save your money & the hassle of repeated lies .

So I called Cal Coast today to inquire about the cost for a bee treatment because there are a million of them coming out of this small hole outside my house! The girl on the phone (Jessica, I think) was very friendly and let me know that she would contact some nearby cal coast workers in my area.
I was ecstatic when she called me back not even 10 minutes later and told me that someone could be out to my home within the hour. They came out right away and took care of all the bees and at a very reasonable rate. The Cal Coast worker that came out told me that it looks like I might need some termite work done so I called the office and I am on schedule for a termite inspection!
Overall, the service was wonderful and I feel like all of my questions and concerns were addressed by the employees at Cal Coast. I’m very happy with the service and would be happy to use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

Just called them to Schedule a termite inspection in San Pedro, and they asked for $ 100 upront despite Unilocal review. Apparently Inspections are free only to existing homeowners and if your property is in escrow and you happen to represent a buyer in a transaction, they are asking for $ 100 upfront GEEZZ! Well Enriquez Termite in Norwalk just took your business!

Used the Unilocal deal. not sure how competative the pricing comes out to be at the end of the day though.

So glad I called them. We were finding roaches in the house (excuse me while i vomit) and needed help asap. I called the office and they were very friendly & professional. They came out the next day and the technician Jesse was awesome. He even knocked down a few wasp nests without being asked! He explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable, and guess what? No more roaches! I would highly recommend them!

From the ladies who helped me on the phone to the guy who came to do the job… excellent service! This is something that seems hard to find these days. Manny was the guy that came to spray. He was right on time and good at articulating what he was going to do. I never felt wheeled or dealed by this company.

Pest control contractors can sometimes be the biggest pests themselves. Not so with Cal Coast. The process couldn’t have been more simple and painless either. I called and left a message. They called right back. The girl on the phone told me when the guy would be over, and he was there on time. The inspector was courteous and friendly and talked straight with me the whole time. I never felt like I was getting conned or ripped off like some companies make you feel (cough terminix).
I had a few rats in my attic, dead ones, so they rescheduled to do a full service by trapping any others, cleaning up the dead ones, sealing up the holes and sanitizing so they don’t know to come back. It was more than I expected, but worth it since I have no intention of crawling up into my attic with dead animals in the heat of summer.
Look, I’ll keep it simple.
Don’t think. Just hire these guys. You’ll thank me later.

Great service Manny was a good guy and very respectful w the house and me. cleaned everything up and walked me through everything he did. very polite all around. Prices were good or comparable to other companys i got estimates from but you cant beat the great service also customer service Jessica was great had a follow up call to explain my warranty and to discuss how they did. well im very pleased w my experience w cal coast termite and i reccomend them to anyone who needs this service. thanks Manny and Jesseica.
