Exceptional customer service and definitely worth your time! In less than 24 hours, Jose arrived, much sooner than I had expected, but right on time. While removing some concrete stucco in our garage roof, we had unexpectedly uncovered an area showing termite damage, but we didn’t know if it was old or still active. Jose explained how to tell the difference and what to look for in the future in case termites reappear. It was reassuring to learn that it was old damage and that we could simply replace the damaged wood and move on with our project.
Jose was a knowledgeable professional, and his humorous and polite demeanor were a plus. I couldn’t have been more appreciative with his customer service, and would highly recommend him to others.

Jose came to my house 15 minutes after I called and gave an honest assessment in 10 minutes. He said that any work could be done on our own but to keep his card so that if it gets to the point where something needed to be done, he can come back. He didn’t charge us a penny for the visit. Very professional and honest. I will definitely keep his card.

So I don’t know anything about bugs or pest so I call and asked for an inspection. He asked me what was my specific needs and I explained to him. He informed me that he was termite control only and not for other pest such as ants and spiders.
I still wanted him to come and take a look but he advised me to find someone that provided a more wider range of service instead of hiring more than one company.
I would recommend this guy just because of the time he took to talk with me on the phone and his honesty.

I set up an appointment for an inspection and when they didn’t show up I called them. They had totally forgotten about their appointment with me, even though I had confirmed by phone and then sent a text with all the specifics. When I called they said «Sorry, we forgot. can you please text us the details?» Needless to say, I hung up and called a reputable vendor.

We needed termite fumigation and hood/​tent treatment over our house in LA before putting it on sale, to treat both subterranean and dry wood infestations.
Unilocal came through once again and all other highly rated reviews regarding this company are spot on.

Could not have been a more positive experience.
Nano came out right on time, promptly inspected the entire house, and presented his very complete results. He did not sugarcoat any termites, but at the same time, he did not «puff» them. My house did not need to be tented, and Nano was straight up with me about that, which was really unbelievable.
To boot, he promised me the inspection report very soon, and scheduled a tentative treatment date for me, on site, right off the bat.
I am so happy that I called Power Termite Control, and suggest you do the same.

After checking out other Unilocal posts, I called the company to get their take on the termite issues we’ve had in our house. I made an appointment with Noni, who came over the next day and did a thorough job of identifying the problems. Noni referred us to an independent contractor who first replaced the termite damaged wood. After that work was done, the company’s fumigation team came over and tented the house over a weekend.
Noni was there every step of the way — very responsible and professional. I highly recommend the company.

Not that anyone would want to find themselves in termite turmoil, but if you should, Power Termite is the way to go!
It’s refreshing to deal with a contractor whose expertise doesn’t have to rely on the up-​sell or hard-​sell tactics.

Jose was responsive and very thorough, took the time to show me all around the house, pointing out areas of concern. I felt completely at ease with him and trusted that he wasn’t in the business of selling me unnecessary services. Very highly recommended!

I really wanted to use these guys and gave it my best shot. Emailed Monday night. I called Tues afternoon after no call. I was told that Jose will call me back. Called again at 4:55pm and told he will call me back to arrange inspection. He didn’t call Wed. Today is Thursday, still no call. Just called another place with good ratings and they called back and arranged an appointment within 30 minutes. I still haven’t heard from Jose. If I did hear from him, I would not use him. I wasted time waiting, when I could have had it inspected already by someone else. I don’t need more termite issues. I am thinking you shouldn’t waste your time.

Jose and Noni are total professionals. They did a good job and didn’t create more work for more revenue. Honest hard workers, willing to work within my schedule. Great Company. Highly Recommended.
I live in Los Feliz, have been a homeowner for 16 years and have dealt with other Termite companies… these guys are the top of the line.

I received a quote from a termite company for $ 2250 and Jose did it for less than a thousand. He didn’t try to up-​sell me like the other company and was completely honest about the condition of my house. He is a bit forgetful (as he readily admits) so be sure to follow up!

I called Jose in an absolute panic one evening about three weeks ago. There were flying termites all over my daughter’s bedroom and I was freaking out! He politely explained that he was just sitting down for dinner and had finished for the day and in fact he was pretty booked until the following week. But as we continued the conversation he could hear how upset I was. So here’s what he did. He told me that he was going to put back on his work clothes, ask his wife to keep his dinner warm and he would be over in 10 minutes. 10 minutes on the dot he knocked on my door. He came in and I immediately recognized him as being the gentleman I had called to help me with an earlier termite problem I had had a year ago. He had located the exact spot where they were coming from and successfully eliminated them. I was thrilled it was him. He is lovely. So funny and helpful. He immediately came back to my daughter’s bedroom and began work It took him approx 15 minutes start to finish. He patched up the tiny holes he drilled to get the stuff into the cracks to kill them and he was finished in the blink of an eye… all the while being incredible knowledgeable and helpful. When he handed me the bill my jaw dropped. It was so reasonable. He IS THE BEST. I couldn’t recommend him more.

Called for about 1 wk straight both website #s — left 2 messages on one phone # and no call back. Had read good reviews so kept trying. Finally, got Jose on cell phone (no voice mail on cell — acct not even set up), who scheduled his partner to come out next day. He was not thorough, did not go into attic or check the whole house. Immediately said we needed tenting, even tho we were not given any proof of termites other than where we already knew there were some. Got other quotes — they did not agree with tenting, but only recommended local treatment, did go into attic, and checked the whole house. Very disappointed in this business. Said he would email the quote — it’s been over 1 wk and I’m still waiting…

Jose is one of those people who sets the standard for honest and trustworthy service. He explains the situation with patience and a sense of humor, and comes back until the job is done. He says what he will do and does what he says. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: It’s August and as I hear from friends, termite season. I spotted a few drywood types and Jose came right back and covered it per our original agreement.
If I could give him 7 stars I would. He’s honest, affordable, knowledgable, and on the other side of affordable, being that he’s honest, he hasn’t (with me and doesn’t seem the type) tried to sell anything more than what is needed. He eplains what must be done and one can see the direct result. No tricks. I will use him again and again. If he decides to start fixing cars, gardening, or becomes a dry cleaner, I’ll still use him — if that helps explain my point. He’s a pleasure to deal with, his knowledge is inspiring, and is simply one of those people who know’s what they’re doing and gets right to it.
I’m not a termite expert by any means but I’ve dealt with enough people in many parts of the world to know when someone is genuine, and also dealt with others in his line of work. One point, that was a test in my mind for this follow up, is that he guarantees his work. He truly stood by it.

Jose is very popular, for good reason, but that means he is also very busy, so it may take him a little while to get back to you when you call. He is worth the wait. Some of the other «termite inspectors» we talked with were just high pressure salesmen. Jose does the actual work, so he knows what really needs to be done, and he will explain every option and make sure you make an informed choice.
Since we don’t know much about termites, he could have told us we had all kinds of problems like one other guy did and we wouldn’t have known the difference. But he didn’t. Jose is honest and professional. His prices are reasonable and he explains everything so you know he’s not padding the bill. In this day and age that is something worth waiting for.
Seriously, you want to hire Power Termite Control. Jose is the best.
