Awesome place. I miss them being in Carson, but since they’ve moved to Long Beach it’s still worth the drive. Best teriyaki plates ever. They also have a variety of things on the menu that taste delicious as well. I highly recommend this place. I’ve yet to let anyone down on this place… Teriyaki Factory

I was very impressed by the beef teriyaki dish, it was close to perfection. The Korean BBQ ribs were also good, but not as good as the teriyaki. The place is simple but pleasant and the service was good. I will definitely return.

Food: like others stated, not what one generally expects when wanting/hearing teriyaki. Not bad, but not great in any way. Ok. Salad was lettuce, tomato, cucumber, ok. Service: to be honest, it was pretty bad. There was only 2 other people sitting together in the entire place. I, however, was ignored while the owner talked to her employees. New establishment and my first visit, so I ask if there happens to be a combo where I could try the beef, chicken, and shirt ribs. She rudely tells me no, to get chicken/beef and pay $ 6 extra for short ribs. I brush off the rudeness as lost in language barrier. The phone rings as I’m talking to her mid-sentence and she walks away and picks it up. Ok. The cook comes over and asks me if I’m ready. I order. She comes to register unaware I ordered. She stands in front of me, no longer on the phone, and charges the phone order without uttering a word. She comes back nonchalantly and asks if I’m ready to order while reading my order written by the cook. I’m charged. No biggie. Still giving her benefit of the doubt, language barrier. She flags me down to pick up my order. Points to bag on counter and walks away before I can even reach it. I want hot sauce and try to waive her down to no avail. The cook, he’s awesome btw, notices and asks. She comes and hands me a single hot sauce and again walks away. Uuuuuhhh. Ok. I see a service station and think, ‘my bad, no wonder she’s annoyed. I could’ve got it myself.’ I go to station and no to go items to be found. I ask for another hot sauce, defeated. She tells me to just put however much I want straight on my food and to just give her back the hot sauce container she had given me. Wow. Ok. Moral of the story: don’t open a business that deals with people if you don’t want to deal with customers. Never going back. And inspired this epic tail. Lol.

My dad and I have been coming to this place since I was a small child. From harbor city, to Carson, and now I’m happy to know they’ve moved to long beach. I’m 26 now and still adore this place and the owner as i have since I was a kid.

Pleasantly surprised by the large portions, tasty food, and cleanliness. Would definitely stop in again. Reasonably priced too. I prefer this healthy style of cooking to the drowning in corn syrup version of teriyaki.

I’ve eaten at Teriyaki Factory before and it’s always been great. I just had it two weeks ago and was bragging about how much better my lunch was compared to my coworkers. However Today I was sad to find that the usual quality and flavor I come to expect of this place fell short. Normally my order of beef teriyaki is a flavor explosion in every bite, the meat is seasoned to perfection and its a great eating experience. Today though I found that the meat wasn’t up to par, it just lacked the usual flavor it normally has. I’m disappointed by the quality of todays meal and hope that is was a fluke and not something that is going to keep happening. I love this place but they need to go back to whatever they were doing before.

It’s been way too long since the last time I had their Teriyaki. It’s still the same quality and taste as I remember from when I was a little kid riding my skateboard up to the corner of Sepulveda Blvd. and Normandie Ave. in Harbor City to the original location«The Golden Ox» around 30 years ago. Juicy and tender beef and chicken teriyaki atop a bed of rice with a side fresh green salad. Same great quality and taste, just a different location. Bigger restaurant overall. Spacious with high ceiling and clean restaurant. Plenty of parking outside. I’ll be going back often to get my teriyaki fix.

Saw this place on Unilocal, and it had decent reviews, and it’s close to my work, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Went in at lunchtime and there was only one other person there, and figured maybe it’s new so not many people know about it yet. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken & Beef Combo, it also comes with a side salad. I did not like the teriyaki at all. I actually didn’t feel I was eating a teriyaki plate. It to me didn’t taste anything like teriyaki, I’m not sure what they do to it, but it just wasn’t for me. I guess it may be for some, but not for me. I would not eat here again.

I drive by this place every day and noticed the new«Teriyaki Factory» signage a month or so ago. In a split second decision last Saturday, I decided to stop in and check it out. Inside everything is still the same as the previous business(Gogo Pollo), tables, chairs, paint, everything except for the menu board. SERVICE: Order, pay and pick up at the counter. The owner(nice enough, but little personality) took my order and gave me the order once ready. She was telling me why she moved from Carson to this location(still don’t understand exactly why). When she gave me my order, she told me how much I’m going to love it and that’s I’d be back for more. Okaaay then. FOOD: I guess I’m a stupid American. When I think of «teriyaki», I envision grilled chicken or beef on top of rice, with a fairly thick sweet brown sauce over the top that oozes down into the rice below. Well boys & girls, it would appear this heavily sauced vision of mine is the«Americanized» version of what we call teriyaki. I spoke to a Japanese co-worker about this, asking what«teriyaki» is supposed to be. He confirmed it’s more of a marinade or sauce the meat is cooked in, rather than drowned in. Turns out you’re never too old to learn something new! This version at the Teriyaki Factory would appear to be «more correct» than what I think of as teriyaki. The meat is also grilled with slices of onion and green bell pepper, ala fajitas. So this brings us to my order of chicken teriyaki, over rice, with salad($ 8.25 — $ 9 w/tax, even though it SHOULD be $ 8.99!). As I said I was expecting it to be coated with that sweet sauce, however it wasn’t and I was disappointed. The flavor was very light and somewhat plain, didn’t taste anything like what I think of as teriyaki. To their credit it was cooked nicely. OVERALL: If like me, you’re expecting a thick sweet brown sauce over the meat and rice when you think«teriyaki», you won’t find it here. If you want something more like fajitas, grilled on a flat top with onions, peppers and lightly seasoned, you’ll like this place. I was not impressed and won’t be back.

This place was a total joke. Overpriced hood joint. $ 5 Chicken Bowls are $ 9 here because they throw lettuce on a plate and call it a salad. These are fajita bowls at best trying to be teriyaki. Nah…we good. On to the next.

We were hungry on the way home from a hike, saw this place and stopped. We were not happy with the results. I have never heard of Teriyaki having peppers and onions before! I didn’t mind the flavor of the meat, but it really tasted more like taco meat than teriyaki to me. The meat was dry and fatty, and has no sauce. We asked for sauce and were given some very thin liquid(looked more like a meat marinade almost than teriyaki sauce) and told if we wanted more it would cost 50 cents. My husband asked for his chicken without onions and peppers, and they said they could do it, but his meat was still chock full of those things. I also asked for dressing on the side for both salads, and both salads came with dressing on top. I am really floored that people reviewing this business say they really love the teriyaki. I shocked that this kind of seasoning is even called«teriyaki.» This is not the fault of the business owners and perhaps not worth mentioning, but the restaurant has weird sound. The way its built inside amplifies every noise somehow. When we went there was screeching children in the restaurant and the sound was so unbearably loud that I literally had to stop eating and stick my fingers in my ears. We will definitely not be returning to this restaurant.

Same great food… same rude owner. They closed the Carson location and set up shop in an old don pollo restaurant here in long beach. Closer to my home which is nice. Still really good teriyaki with a salad. No longer do the serve pepsi… it’s coke, which kinda sucks. Plenty of tables and parking. Located on the corner of pine and pch… area is sketchy. Beware
