Specialties
We are a Wine Bar and Gastropub. Our food is prepared by the 4 Diamond Sky Room Chef who creates an eclectic mix of small plates, artisan cheeses and cured meats, flatbreads, sandwiches and premium quality burgers. Our beverage selections focuses on approachable, boutique wines from all over the world for our «by the glass» selection, craft beers, and craft sipping spirits. If you like the wine or spirit you try then you can buy it from out retail outlet. Our Retail Shop specializes in esoteric, boutique, vintage/collectible wines and unusual highly rated spirits. We offer an unpretentious approach to wine and culinary arts, our sommelier is ready to educate and talk shop. The décor is a laid back Modern Gothic interior seeming fancy, but in reality we are the type of place you can hang out on one of our couches for a while and truly Wine Down. We also specialize in being pretty darn awesome. Come ask us about it…
History
Established in 2011.
The Sky Room’s 3,000+ bottle wine collection needed another home, so we decided to follow our dreams and open up a wine bar in the same building on the lobby level. Here we are able to create exciting food options. Offer an intimate, cozy, and casual environment. This wine bar is fun, constantly changing and evolving. An extensive rotating wine by the glass list (bi-monthly) allows our patrons to taste new wines all the time. Come see what our next creation is paired with!
Meet the Business Owner
Jonathan R.
Business Owner
After graduating from the University of Arizona with a BA in Economics I started my culinary adventure at The Sky Room. After six months we took over another restaurant in Santa Barbara and I moved out there to get immersed in the wine scene. I ran a fine dining restaurant, wine bar, and wine retail shop. During that time I enrolled in the International Sommelier Guild and became a certified Sommelier. I learned from some of the best and during my stay in Santa Barbara I assisted with a Grand Award wine list (3,000+ different wine labels from all over the world) which I have brought with me to The Sky Room upon my return in 2009. I also had the pleasure of working with a talented Chef that came from Melise (2 Michelin Stars). My experience in wine country, the kitchen, and on the restaurant floor have shaped me and pushed me to dive into a new universe of flavors, creativity and a pure passion for creating something beautiful for others to enjoy.
