Dr. Itagaki is currently Chief of Staff at St. Vincent Medical Center, the #5 Best Hospital in Los Angeles in 2011. He has formerly been Vice Chief of Staff for 2 years, Chief of Surgery for more than 13 years, Secretary/​Treasurer of the Medical Executive Committee at St. Vincent Medical Center for 2 years, and President of the Japanese American Medical Association for 6 years. He was awarded in 2001 the Customer-​Focused Physician Service Award for Southern California representing St. Vincent Medical Center and has served the Los Angeles community for over 30 years.
