Decent coffee(Starbucks-sourced but this not an actual Starbucks). Wait time is VERYVERY long. This could be solved by faster pin/chip credit card machine AND by having more than one employee behind the counter! Almost made me want to walk to a real Starbucks offsite.

When I checked into the Westin I was given a complimentary continental breakfast card for the CAFEBLVD for being a loyal Gold member. This is because the hotel does not have a Starwood Lounge, which typically serves breakfast and dinner snacks. Nonetheless, CAFEBLVD is situated inside the Westin Hotel directly to the right of the checkin counter. It’s very vanilla of a place that serves the usual suspects one might enjoy at a café; an assortment of pastries, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, sodas, cereals and snacks. They proudly serve Starbucks coffee and derivatives like lattes and cappuccinos. The pastries are delivered daily by Paris Bakery(4 stars) in Westwood. Basically it’s a Starbucks on a diet. The barista and cashier(same person) was very nice and handled the line aptly. Several tables are available adjacent to the café, making it convenient to down that pastry. The place is basically perfect for a quick source of caffeine and a bite, and scores big points for convenience. Without the adjacent seating area, this place reminds me of a mobile café typically found at airports. It’s not charming, but carries the chic ambiance of the Westin Hotel lobby. Worth noting are the $ 1 refills on drip coffee or tea, especially for an addict like me. There’s free hotel WiFi available and the operating hours are from 6:00am to 12:00pm daily. This is not a place I would visit unless I was already staying at the hotel, again, think convenience.
