Good healthy hood for good price. The owner and staff are very friendly. Awesome spicy bar, too!

Found this place before going to a Lakers game. Was surprised that they weren’t as busy compared to the restaurants across the street near the Staples Center. We ordered the original combo which consisted of a lamb pita pocket, potato fries and a drink. They had condiments on the side that were great and the service was very nice.

I asked for no cucumber. The staff member had no problem with that. When I asked for tomato chopped on my bowl he said they can’t do that because it’s marinated with cucumber. I asked if they have tomatoes. He said yes. I asked if he could take one of the tomatoes and chop it o to my bowl. He asked the manager and she said no. You would make more friends if you had a «say yes policy». Food was good but I won’t be back.

There’s so many things that go into a good /great restaurant experience… really, EJ’s has it all: wonderful food that’s good for you at a great price, quick as lightning prep time and a staff and management who really are amazing. Unlike so many other places, it feels like they are genuinely interested in your experience. And they are super, super clean. Had the Wow-E and it was just *that*: Wow-E. Of course, they also could have called it Yumm-E and been correct. Lovely ‘spice’ bar with delicious seasonings to add to your pita or bowl. «Fast» food that had no ‘fast food’ feeling about it. I’m so very glad we stopped in!

Yummy, quick, lunch. I had the EJ’s bowl and really enjoyed it. I was at a conference at the Marriott Live and decided to make my way over here for lunch. Convenient, reasonable prices, and fast.

The food here is tasty. I had the original bowl. The size is just right, the ingredients appear fresh, and the seasoning is good. The pita and sauce on the side is also great. My one complaint is that the amount of meat given is on the small side. Customer service is excellent and the place is clean.

Really really good, fresh food, we go here all the time now for lunch in DTLA. After having worked in this neighborhood for over a decade, we’re happy to have EJ’s close by, there is a variety of entrees for both vegetarians and meat eaters in the office, and the portions are generous. The fresh baked mini pitas that come with everything are delicious. They offer pickled veggies and very hot peppers, too, which I love. Service is fast and friendly.

Looking for a healthy alternative that’s beyond fresh, fast & at an amazing price? This place has it all. I rarely give out reviews but when I do I make sure I cover all grounds. This place is clean, comfy, fresh, nice staff, and the food is seriously amazing! I wish they open one in West Hollywood! But nonetheless, worth the trip!

Amazing!!! The Tun-E pita pocket by far my personal favorite. Staff is amazing and the manager is very helpful. Everything is well organized unlike some food joints in downtown who have messy tables and bad service. I was also informed that they will be adding desserts to the menu I CAN’T WAIT. If you need something quick and healthy Ejs Bites is the way to go.

We dined at EJ’s bites and I enjoyed my food both times. The first time we had take-out. I had the Veg-e bowl. I enjoyed it except for the egg.(Eggs are huge part of their menu). I really enjoyed the«Freaky Fries». Thinly sliced potatoes that are… fried? Yummy! When we dined in I ordered the side salad and pita with hummus. The side salad was a nice change from iceberg lettuce«salads» that is the norm for budge-friendly restaurants. However, the wheat pita had a texture and bulk that felt more like a slice of wheat bread. I am no pita expert, but most pitas I’ve had are ‘thinner’ and not ‘fluffy’. Maybe it’s made from scratch? I don’t know. I should’ve asked. I scored it a 4 star because my boyfriend enjoyed his food A LOT. My score would be about a 3 star. So, I’m assuming the reason my experience was different because he had their popular dish«Crispi» chicken I think it’s called. He LOVEDIT! Highlights: EJ’s is spacious Well-lit space Convenient location for sports fans coming downtown Friendly service Clean Fast service(in out experience so far) Delivery available Tip: If you need to use the restroom, be sure to ask for a key… otherwise you’ll be standing at a locked door assuming it’s occupied.

Satisfied lunch. Perfect location, easy to access. But if you drive, you might have to pay $ 10 for parking. I had chicken(wow-e bowl) and the portion was huge. Will come back!

I really didn’t plan on eating before the game, but I just happen to walk by this place and thought, «Huh. I guess I can eat…» Ordered the original EJ’s original pita pocket. No sides, no extras, I wanted to taste it ASIS. So, here’s what I got from it. The secret sauce was served on the side.(I prefer that, actually.) The chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and chopped pickles were all right on top of the sandwich. It took about 4 to 5 bites before I got to the meat.(There were about 4 meatballs in there.) So, my issue here is, by the time I got to the meat, the topped veggies were nearly gone. I would have preferred to have a bit of everything in every bite.(Meat and veggies together.) I also tasted a bit of inconsistency with the meat. They describe the meat as «seasoned ground beef with hint of lamb.» However, some meatballs came off more gamey(lamb) than others. I might give it another try if I was around the area. But they definitely need some improvement on this particular pita.

Stopped in for lunch to go on the reco of a co-worker. I tried the shock-e pita and it was very good and totally filling. Service was helpful and friendly, and the manager took the time to chat with me about some of their concepts and plans. The place was large, airy, and very clean. I definitely want to come back to try some more stuff!

This was an Ok Place. If you are in the mood for something really healthy and affordable while in Downtown LA I would recommend checking this place out. We got to try some of their healthy bowls which did a pretty good job of filling me up and tasted pretty healthy but I wouldn’t exactly call it the most delicious meal in the world. This would probably be the complete opposite of a bacon wrapped dog. Things I liked — Price(pretty affordable $ 7 to $ 8) — Healthy Clean Food — Friendly Staff(very talkative and eager to give you suggestions) Things I didn’t like — There was barely any meat in my bowl. I want to say 3 Meatballs worth. — Bathrooms were locked kind of strangely with a need for a special key to use the restroom or to wash your hands. Overall I think I would come again if I wanted to eat something cheap and healthy.

This place just opened recently and was pleasantly filled with people giving it a try. The interior is clean, cool, and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The prices on their sandwiches are great and they have some very tasty looking fresh chips, if you want to order a combination meal. I ordered the EJ’s Original Pita Pocket. It’s a kind of falafel-like meatball pita with tomatoes, pickles, and cream sauce. I added lots of the bright pink pickled turnips that they have in their side bar. This really enhanced the flavor. The pita itself is nice and chewy and it’s a pretty good sandwich for the price. As I’m obsessed with hummus, I had to try this out as well and I wouldn’t really recommend it. I don’t think this is homemade and this is what I’m really looking for when I order hummus out. Once again, they do give you quite a bit for the price, so this would be an easy, very cheap lunch for less than you can buy Sabra/something similar at the grocery store. Overall, a 3.5.

I was really excited about this place coming to the area. There’s a definite lack of quick lunch spots but I was sadly not impressed by EJ’s Bites. I ordered the wrap on regular pita with the beef lamb combo. I also got chips and a drink. The prices were reasonable but the food was mediocre at best. I really didn’t like the meat, it had a funk to it. I left disappointed and went home even more sad because I started having tummy troubles. My friend had the same problem, her boyfriend was fine but he ordered the chicken. Unfortunately I won’t be back here.
