Possibly the worst taco’s I’ve ever tried. I ordered three types to see how several different taco’s would taste. The beef and pork tacos both are covered in a red sauce, honestly I couldn’t tell which was which. Even the chicken taco was not that good. I’ve never been to a place that could make chicken not taste good.

Great place, had a great experience the most thing that I like is that it’s clean and the food is fresh and it tastes fresh, service is fast and friendly even if you don’t know what to order they will help you chose your meal

If you like fast mexican food– I suggest Hugos! It is much more authentic than Chipotle and has more variety, which I appreciate. Try they fish tacos, they’re really just amazing!

Tried Hugo’s for the first time with my girlfriend yesterday a little disappointed… Service: we went in around 3 on a Sunday and it was slow so our food came out pretty fast. We walked in and none of the employees acknowledged us and the cashier seemed she could care less. not a deal breaker but it was a little off putting. Food: we ordered a few honey chipotle chicken soft tacos, habanero chicken soft tacos and the steak nachos. The tacos are about the same size as king taco but a dollar more. The honey chipotle sauce you either love it or you hate it, it’s overly sweet and makes your tacos taste like dessert. The habanero had a little kick but not too much and helped balance the sweetness of the honey chipotle when eaten simultaneously. The nachos we ordered sans beans left a lot to be desired. The steak was seasoned well but the cheese wasn’t evenly spread and only covered a small portion of the chips seeming more like a topping. After a few bites the nachos were chips, steak and cojita cheese. Queso would have made them complete. Overall a so-so experience probably won’t be back anytime soon.

The food was just sooooo bleh! Like nothing exciting or delicious. Entering the place, it was very very small and the staff wasn’t friendly. The lady at the register taking our order couldn’t care less about us. She was not happy to be at work . Ordering the food I got a soft taco with chicken and honey chipotle salsa and steak nachos with no beans Tacos– weird seasoned chicken, not very tasty, the honey chipotle salsa was good. But I would drive to downtown la and get king taco !! Nacho– nacho is supposed to be chips and CHEESE! The nachos lacked so much cheese I was eating steak and chips and salsa. They should add cheese in the layers or use queso. Over all the food and ambience and the staff was just all two stars. Probably won’t be back and a little disappointed I can’t find a good Mexican food spot in woodland hills

The food was very cold and tasted ok. The staff wasn’t friendly, but the water was very good and cold. That’s a plus. Right!

I don’t know why I was expecting more from this place. 1. it’s cold in there, why are they trying to freeze us? 2. Some of the staff seem a little impatient. 3. It has a few organic items but all together not really healthy. 4. The Mexican sand which was yummy. 5. No ambiance u comfortable and smelled like bleach. Plus it’s too small. Went to this place I think twice and I don’t think I would want to come back.

The Good: Hugo’s has a wide variety of healthy, vegetarian alternatives for lovers of Mexican food. Being really hungry, I ordered the 3 soyrizo tacos al pastor. I ordered a side of rice and beans as well. The Bad: Hugo’s portions are extemely TINY. Truthfully, the food was pretty good. I liked the taste and flavors of the habanero sauce, although it wasn’t enough. I was still hungry after eating the 3 small, bite sized tacos and the little cup of beans and rice. Please, Hugo’s … consider upping the size. The Ugly: the price. $ 7 for 3 tiny tacos? The small cup of rice and beans are $ 1.80? With prices like that, I’m sadly not coming back.

This is my go-to place for food. If I’m hungry, Hugo’s tacos makes me happy. I’ve brought dozens of people here and everybody has enjoyed it and asked to go back. I’ve tried everything(not exaggerating) on the menu, and it’s all delicious. The al pastor is glorious. The honey chipotle salsa is perfect. Their monthly specials are always great. You get the point, now get the tacos.

I’m incredibly disappointed with this location. The service is never great and the employees never seen happy to be there, but I went anyway because I like the food. Tonight they completely ruined my order. Unfortunately I got it to go and didn’t realize until I got home. I order a chicken burrito with white beans, the jalapeño salsa and I paid extra for sour cream. My burrito had refried beans, honey chipotle salsa and no sour cream which I paid extra for. Just completely disappointing. I will not come back to this location again, I’ll drive farther for people who actually listen to my order.

I really want to like this place. I’ve tried it 4 times now and I’m never that into my tacos, my family ends up ignoring them and making something from the fridge an hour after I bring them home. I wish they were as delicious as I want them to be. The location is really convenient to my house with easy parking right in front of the door. If only the tacos were good.

I can make this a quAck review. I’m a huge fan of Hugo’s Taco’s in the Studio City and Atwater Village locations. Now I have visited the Woodland Hills location a few times(good for me) and it just doesn’t live up to the other regions. The service is standard here just like all the other sites, nothing amazing. The food that is prepared here is just a «you fail me», incorrect ingredients added, mushy beans, and what appears to be less than fresh stuffs. This spot just isn’t as busy as the other’s, so they should«nail it» on each order. The cook staff just needs to get on point with the other locations. 2.0 — Will not return to this location. Also void any reviews ever for any Hugo’s Tacos locations that use«Not Authentic» or «No Flavor». They don’t know what they’re doing or have any understanding.

2 stars for good service and sauce. I’m a huge fan of Al Pastor and they just didn’t get it right IMO. The pastor marinade was good but I’m not crazy about the meat quality. I had the Al pastor, tilapia, and steak tacos. Believe it or not, the tilapia taco was the best of the 3. The bf had the nachos and that was super bleh. Skip that! Sorry to say I can’t rave about 1 thing from this place. Besides the place is so small. They had a long bar table alongside the window and that can seat about 10 and there were 2 tables for 2 on the other side. I guess people come here for takeout(?!?). Well i don’t have to worry about that because I will not return. Their sauce were super though. Hey there’s a positive!

Tried the crunchy steak tacos. The taco shell was fantastic. Both crunchy and tasty. Everything else including the steak was just whatever. Would go back and try something else.

For those of us that live in the SFV, we know that we are blessed with tacos that rain down from taco heaven. For Hugo’s, it hails! –WHATSHOULD I ORDER– 1) 3 Chicken/Beef/Pork/Fish Crispy or Soft Tacos topped with cilantro and onions. These are pretty good sizes and you can’t go wrong with crispy tacos. 2) The Chicken Burrito hits the spot for me on this one. Something about the seasoning in the chicken that makes me give my money to this place. Either way, you’re welcome! 3) Get some Chips and Guacamole. Just please, save yourself from waiting in line twice. Just do it. –WHATISTHEPRICE– Expect to spend about 10 $-15 $ per person. Source: Came here 5 times in 1 week because there are no other taco places that I am fond of.

Totally love this little taco place… Salsas are the bomb. Personal favorite is the Cruda and Habenero if you love spicy. Spicy all the way for me. On the plates you can get your tacos with fries or the chips. Chips all the way Cuz I need my Habenero fix! El Pastor is great, sometimes a little to much liquid for my taste in the meat, but if you hit the right day pretty damn awesome. Mom are you sure you didn’t mess around with a Hispanic dude??? I love me some Mexican food

Another place that has been on the list forever. Odd that I have not been… Until NOW! Tacos were very good, but for me, it was more about the salsa and sauces, which I thought were excellent. They made all the difference. The quality seems to be very good and the food is fresh and made to order. It will not blow you away and have you leaving, saying«best tacos ever!!!»… But I do appreciate good food at a reasonable price, which will keep Hugo’s on my go-to list. Had the Fish and Chicken Soft Tacos… and a variety of Salsas to try… The standouts were the Honey Chipotle, Salsa Negra and Salsa Habanero. I thought the Green Tamales with the Tomatillo-Jalapeño salsa were quite delicious, too! Glad there is now one close by!
