Kidville Brentwood

Came by for a kid’s party recently. Kind of an interesting set up. The party went from activity to activity every 20 – 30 minutes or so. Activities seemed to be pretty fun for the kids, but it felt a bit weird having to jump from room to room, at least for me.

2-​They really care about your kids and make an effort to learn their names.

4-​so many different classes under one roof. I use to take my child to several classes. Now I get dance, gym, art, and music under one facility.
5-​across the street to Whole Foods. I’m always going for milk runs.
6-​easy free parking
My 2 year old has been attending over 6months. Since then she’s learned «playground rules», being gentle, more social, and is out going.

I love this pale ! My son went here from 3 months until 2. now I am taking my Daughter. The classes are amazing. The staff is professional, kind and the love kids!!! It show through in all they do!
Also this place is super clean and the play space is safe as well as maintained well.
The final thing to share Birthfay parties. We been to several birthday parties here and although they have all been a bit different they have all been a blast!
I highly reccomend this place for new born to 3. We never did KVU which I think is for older kids. I am sure that is wonderful as well!

The staff is great twins started at 10 months now 2 going to kidville u. They love it. They are so cautious with the kids really well sought out teachers great place to start. I have 2 year old twins

I have been meaning to write a review for Kidville for quite awhile and can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to it! It is truly a magical place for parents, caretakers, and kiddos alike– the front desk staff is always super friendly and helpful on the phone, as well as in person. They also greet the kiddos by name-(they even make my little guys feel welcome and greet them when they tag along to classes) — but not only that, they truly seem to enjoy saying hello to all of the precious little ones that walk in the door! (As a mother, nanny, and former preschool teacher I realize the potential impact of this one tiny (yet huge!) detail in the lives of the little ones who walk in the door) The playspace and class rooms are amazingly clean and well kept. The «Big Muscles» class is such a great place for the little ones to learn new skills and take safe chances… The «Rockin Railroad» classes are always fun and entertaining (they do a new musical theme every week– this week was T.V. theme song week, they have also done Motown, county, Reggae, blues, pop, etc!) Art class is a fun way to get the kiddos coloring and painting without making a mess of the house! Open gym is a great place to play with the kiddos and meet new friends on a high temp day (vs the hot, sweaty, dirty playground hehe!). Oh, and most importantly, Kidville understands the true magic of bubbles! I have to give shout outs to Mindee, Kiel, Tom, Andrew, Renee, Tina, and Greg for making the little gal in my life feel so special and loved each time she walks in the door! I can’t reccommend this place highly enough!

I never write reviews… because I just don’t nor do I have the time to do so, unless my experience was pretty bad I might make some time, but after reading some of the bad reviews, specially the one from Victoria G (WHICH I FIND OFFENSIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL IN SO MANY LEVELS) on 12/​15/​2014 I felt the need to do so.
I want to start by saying that I LOVE Kidville Brentwood, I think more than my son does; I am a working mom, so I don’t go with my son every day, but the times that I have been lucky enough to take my son there we have a blast.
My son has been going to Kidville since the summer of 2014 and I was so excited when they changed their plan to a monthly membership (I only did trial classes before) because it meant that we could use it in an unlimited way, signed up for as many classes as we wanted and this has been awesome, as my son was getting older he was able to attend more and more classes.
Main reasons why I love this place:
* All the instructors and staff are really nice to parents and specially to kids; Mindy, Anthony, Kyle, etc. really nice. My son loves all of them and they are so nice and loving to him as well. They are very personal to every kid that goes there.
* My son LOVES IT, he feels so comfortable here that I can’t even describe it; whenever he does not want to keep playing at the gym he gets out and seats on the red couch to read, or just do his own thing whenever allowed.
* It is very clean and nice! We once try my gym I think it is called… MMM NO THANKS!
* They might not have a lot of classes for younger kids, which is OK as infants can get overstimulated very quickly and easily and some of them might not last a full class because they are hungry, tired, fussy, etc., but they still have enough classes for infants. As kids grow older there are a lot of options.
* They are constantly trying new concepts, new classes, different activities, theme parties: valentines, St. Patricks day, etc, etc
* It is just a great place for kids to play, learn and interact with other kids in a loving and safe environment. PERIOD.

Had our kids birthday party there. They did not deliver as promised. The party leaders were terrible — lacked enthusiasm, excitement and most importantly leadership. They were supposed to lead organized group activities during the gym time and they didn’t — nothing took place. It was basically a free for all with kids scattered all over the gym. After looking forward to the party for weeks with all the promise of it being a fun time — my husband and I both left at the end of the 90 minutes feeling completely deflated. They are more concerned about time and money and my advice is don’t waste yours.

Fun place for babies and kids! I started taking my daughter to the music class when she was 8 months old and we continued until she was 2. Very clean and the staff is super friendly. Their indoor gym is a great space for kids to run around and get some exercise

My kids, ages 3 and 20 months, absolutely LOVE Kidville. My oldest daughter has been going to Kidville since they opened when she was only a few months old.
The owner Christy couldn’t be nicer and the staff is so welcoming and sweet with me, my nanny and my girls. Their signature class, Rock n Railroad, is fantastic. The live band and puppets are so much fun. It’s really the best kids music class I’ve ever been to. All of the classes are great here and my favorite part of all, they keep the space super CLEAN.

We took our daughter here and bought the playpass and it was a good experiece. We then decided to sign up for a class, Rockin Railroad. It was ok. Our daughter didn’t like it and would cry. It was too loud and the songs were all modern songs and nothing related to kids music and nursery rhymes. We discontinued with the class. Initially this place was a nice place for a new mom to possibly meet and make friends with like-​minded others however to my dismay it turned out to be a meeting ground for immigrant and spanish speaking nannies who would neglect the children they were supposed to oversee and supervise. A few times my daughter was hurt as a result of unsupervised children running amuck. We decided that safety had also become an issue because there was lack of accountability and the staff had no handle on the situaion. So we ended our membership at Kidville and by word of mouth found a couple other places in the area that we are happy with for our daughter, not to mention better clientelle and demographics!

Kidville is a little pricey but you can now get unlimited classes and freeplay times for $ 180 a month. The facility is always clean. The staff are very friendly. In particular Kiel really goes above and beyond (he helped us work out a special deal because we were moving in the middle of the month). If you go to Kidville even semi-​frequently the staff will remember your child and great him/​her by name right as you walk in. It’s sweet and makes the kids feel very welcome. All in all this is a great place for kids if you can swing the $ 180 a month.

This place is so much fun for the kids. My daughter loved it and it’s clean. The front desk staff was so welcoming and they have a parking lot. We’ll be going back.

After trying out a wide variety of classes all over LA we decided to enroll into their Big Muscles class. My 15-​month-​old loves it! The place is VERY clean, friendly staff, wonderful teachers, great make-​up policy. Their music class is also amazing: they use real instruments. My child loves coming there and so do I. It’s even worth a 40-​minute drive in LA traffic ;-)

Love this place for many reasons: (not in any special order)
1– a music class like no other! Live band, dancing, singing, puppets, storytime… Great for all ages
2– very clean
3– friendly staff and great with babies and kids
4– my son started classes at 5 months and he still loves it there, we just change classes to something he enjoys more now– big muscle
5– you meet other moms and kids and make great friends
6– you can makeup a class if you miss class
7– great for birthday parties!!! Highly recommend
8– parking! A huge plus

I went to Kidville so my 2 yo could get a haircut. He’s a screamer and has some sensory issues so I wasn’t sure how this would go. Of course as soon as we walk in to the «salon» he is screaming. He doesn’t want to get in the little blue car, doesn’t want his hair cut (this is after him saying he does want his hair cut and seemed quite excited about it). But c’est la vie. I was about ready to leave and call it a day when Christy, the owner, walked in laughing. She immediately put me at ease and said not to worry — he’s not the only one to scream getting his haircut. Because he wouldn’t let me put him down I held him, squirming and all, and she started cutting away. The fact that he was a moving target, while screaming like the exorcist, I thought for sure the haircut would be crazy. But nope! Christy managed to give him a VERY cute cut, with no mistakes! It was AMAZING.
Afterwards he ran around in the play gym area and had a blast. He now knows that
a. getting a haircut does not hurt (just like we talked about before hand)
b. even if he cries and screams like a crazy person he’s still getting a cut and
c. being able to run around in the play gym afterwards is awesome!
We will definitely be going back.

Had my daughter’s 2^nd birthday party here, the manager was easy to talk to, responsive to requests, and quick to turnaround with information and feedback. It was such a stress-​free experience I was so glad I chose their venue. The staff was super friendly, the premises clean and fun, with free 90minute parking for all our guests! The best part is that my daughter had a blast! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a kids’ party venue.

I have been here 3 times and each time I’ve been here it’s been a good experience. Being a nanny is already a loving yet tough job in taking care of a little one. As part of my job description, I can always go to the park or simply do activities at home. Yet being here, I can have my toddler (that I nanny for) run around in a safe environment. I don’t have to worry about my child running off somewhere because we are in a secured playroom.
The free-​play room consist of a mini-​gymnasium. My child is able to run freely and play with the apparatuses such as the Little Tykes slides, trampoline, soft building blocks, pop-​up tunnels, and the colorful bouncing balls.
Overall, I feel at ease knowing that I can play with my child here and not having to worry about dealing with furniture with sharp edges or a hard floor surface where my child can get scrapes and bruises :)

Oh how I wanted to love this place! I live within walking distance, and was super excited to score a living social deal for three trial classes. I have my almost-​three-​year old in mygym, and I thought this would be much more convenient for us.
The first road block I hit was the limited number of classes for his age range. We finally signed up for Rockin Railroad (Kidville’s «signature» class), an art class, and Muscle Builders.
The art class started late, and although it had some interesting projects, there were so many projects I felt like the kids couldn’t really get into any of them. I suppose this would be fun for a kid that never painted at home, but in general, I was unimpressed.
The big muscle builder class was only okay as well. I noticed that the format was very similar to mygym, but just not as high energy. I think this is just due to the staff, who seemed to lag. I wanted to give them a few cups of coffee and have them start over! Staff at mygym are way better, although the facility at kidville is newer. Oh — and the lighting in the gym was terrible — weird yellowish tint.
Last but not least was Rockin Railroad. This was a music class /​puppet show with a full band (lead singer, guitarist, keyboard and drums). This class was great! High energy, my son loved it, and it was pretty much the saving grace for this place. If you decide to check out Kidville, take this class and don’t waste your time with the others.

this review is based on one visit with my 10 month old son. we stumbled upon this because of a sample sale that was taking place here, where my Mommy & Me MeetUp was being held. this was my son’s first time playing in an indoor play area with other children being much older than him. since he just recently learned to pull himself up to stand and can still be very unstable, i was concerned about the flooring. to my relief, the floor in their playroom is not only well padded, but is a great shock absorber. interesting material, it’s firm yet somehow seems light or hollow. nonetheless, i felt comfortable with my son crawling around and climbing over their foam blocks. he just had a blast. there are balls rolling around and lots of places for him to climb and pull himself up. the staff also blew bubbles which added even more to the fun.
the facility seemed to be very clean so that added to my comfort level. if we lived closer, we’d definitely be there more often!

I’ll start my review by saying I am surprised to see a negative review of Kidville. But then when I look at the negative reviewer (RP) they only have two reviews and both are negative so be wary. Christy (the owner) and her staff are all extremely professional and attentive!
My wife and I have been taking our two children to Kidville since they opened. Our kids love the music classes as well as open play. The staff is very friendly and professional and the facility is very clean and well kept. We even started taking my 5 year old son to Kidville for haircuts and they do a fantastic job as well.
Kidville aslo threw a fantastic halloween party the friday before halloween. They had pizza and cupcakes, open play and my daughters favorite music teacher performed.
If you have small children Kidville is a great place to take them for classes, open play and haircuts!!!
