Shahram Sayedna, DDS

I truly trust Dr. Sayedna. He is a very excellent dentist and get conversationist. I admire the work he does and also the way he treats me as a patient. Not only did he go to the best dental school in the country but he is very funny. I recommend him to everyone because I am a dentist to so I know a good dentist when I see one.

I will go to NO OTHER DENTIST. Dr. Sayedna personally cleans is my teeth which is rare now and he is METICULOUS.
Also he plays good music. No elevator tunes.

Im not one to complain but My experience here has been so frustrating. The Dentist himself is nice and professional but his front desk/​dental assistant is I would have to say the rudest women I have ever been in contact with at a company. Ive worked in medical and Dental before and Know that customer service is very important when running a business as well as first impressions. She is very rude, talks over you and raises her voice, doesn’t return messages but will call you several times and hound you. She is very unprofessional. I couldn’t believe the tone she was using with me. I am now being harassed to pay for a service that they said was covered by my Insurance. I wasn’t expecting for it to be covered 100% but I wasn’t prepared to pay 100% after they said it would be fine, if not I would have never got that service. I like the dentist but because of his office staff in pact of professionalism I will not be back or will not refer anyone to him because I haven’t had a good experience at all.
update; I have left 3 messages with the receptionist for him to give me a call back and every time she takes down mu number and he never returns my call. I have gotten a bill from them I would like to talk about and they give you 3 days before sending it to collections.

So happy I finally found a trustworthy dentist. I have for the first time felt at ease at a dental office. You guys have been caring and paid attention to my comfort the entire time. I will not be seeing any other dentist.

Thank you Dr. Sayedna for always taking care of me. This office truly understands patient care. Being a paranoid scared of the dentist person, the doctor always has a way of comforting me and taking care of my dental needs and his staff is very sweet.

Usually I don’t post but I had to give my dentist a shout out for his work. I have referred some of my friends and they had great experiences as well.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sayedna since 2009 and he’s great. He still only charges me $ 70 for a teeth cleaning, which is the same price he charged me six years ago! Every other dentist in the area I have spoken to charges at least $ 100. He and his dental assistant are always very friendly and very thorough in their work. I never felt rushed. He also does his homework before every appointment, because he remembers what happened with my teeth my last dental visit and previous visits before that. He will sometimes mention more expensive procedures like teeth whitening, but he’s never pushy. To be completely honest, I moved home to Boston in 2011 but I still see Shahram every summer when I’m in LA vacationing because he’s the best and cheapest dentist I’ve ever had and I don’t feel any need to find a local dentist. That should tell you how much I value his services. Keep up the good work Shahram!

Great Dentist, always helpful, Lets just say i came in with some serious amount of Tartar build up and he not only cleaned it up but made the visit as smooth and painless as possible. Seriously would recommend him to all my family and friends

Dr. Sayedna is a very knowledgable and caring dentist. He is patient and makes sure to address all of your concerns. His staff is courteous and kind. I highly recommend him, in fact most of my family goes to him.

dr sayedna is the best dentist i ever had. i found him after two other fraudulent dentists said i had cavities when dr sayedna said i only needed a deep cleaning. i went to sayedna for five years after that until i left the state. i even continued going to him when i moved from los angeles to san diego two hours away. dr sayedna was very professional as he went to ucsf and taught at usc. he had a gentle touch as my treatments were as painless as possible. his staff was very nice as his assistant always remembered my voice when i called. i highly recommend him

Shahram Sayedna DDS is the only Dentist I trust and I have been happy with, He is professional, clean, Fair, He knows what he is doing and he has a great personality. Me and my family and some of my friends have been going to him for many years .
He is the reason my teeth are straight and I can be comfortable and smile.

I hate dentists. They freak me out. Hence, my wife forced me to see this guy. After my first visit I was told I would need a «deep cleaning». I told him to put everything in writing and email me the x-​rays. I forwarded everything to my dentists in Connecticut.
My dentist from Connecticut replied:
You have a serious amount of «tartar» or calculus that NEEDS to be scaled off. You probably have early periodontal disease… look at the video gingivitis/​periodontitist on my website.
Your wife’s dentist is correct… you should get some scaling and root planing done or else she may be married to someone with no teeth soon.
But once the tartar is removed, you should be ok.

WOW! I went back… long story short. I hate any dentist. The experience is frightening. Whether it’s techno music or elevator music. I am not going to relax. Dr. S. got me in and out. I didn’t feel a thing. All went super smooth.
Thus, the most interesting thing about Unilocal,is people read the 1-​Star reviews before they read all the 5-​star reviews. I’m one of those… So after my experience I’d like to address the 1-​star givers heres one by one:

You call Dr. S. «Lazy»? Have you taken the time to see where he attended dental school? FYI… it’s one of the top tier schools in the nation.
You refer to him as «Sloppy» Simply because the previous patients chart wasn’t removed prior to your entrance? Really? Is THAT the reason why YOU failed to fill out your forms completely and failed to provide your SSN? Or is that because you had no intent of paying your bill?
You call Dr. S a «rip-​off» doctor because he was being over cautious and requesting you to fully verify/​know what your dental insurance policy does/​does not cover? (I called my insurance policy on my own, BEFORE ever walking in to ANY doctor’s office… I call it common sense).
You call his place not «thriving practice»? while most dentists under the age of 50 do NOT have practices in Beverly Hills… very few can afford practice in Westwood… ON Westwood Blvd. I’ll agree, it’s not the Four Seasons… ;) I would never judge a practice based on their appearance. I’d base it on the quality of service received…
BENJAMIN: Wow. This is great! you GAG’d on his x-​ray device? Perhaps you have some other issues you need checked. 2^nd floor bungalow? Hum no, it’s an office… Asian Massage Girls? I wish! There was one assistant there who was beyond professional from start to finish… And the doctor was not being overly friendly as he walked in… I doubt his mind was on you… doctors don’t have the same mind-​set as the customer service clerk at your local fast food. They have a bit more on their mind… His computer machine was uncomfortable? ReallY??? How so? I have never heard or seen such a thing? I went thru the x-​ray experience. In fact I had him email me my x-​rays… and guess what… I didn’t gag ;) He has lack of reviews online? really? You may want to double check that… And NO SIR, I have no affiliation/​or personal association with this Dr. Sayedna. He did a great job… and I truly think some of these 1-​star reviews are absolutely BS. Just setting the record straight. ;-)

You’re at a young doctor’s office. So, compared to the old traditional office. he has FRIENDS… he listens to upbeat music. I run an agency… we play DeadMou5e, Tiesto, etc. You’re disgruntled due to the fact you have dirty teeth, and your dentist has friends, and listens to techno? comedy :-)

I came to see Dr. Sayedna yesterday for cleaning and check-​up. The doctor and his assistant were very attentive and took their time to listen to my concerns and address them (which is rarely found!). The cleaning went well, they did not rush to get the job done paying attention to details. Not to mention Dr. Sayedna’s humor and easy going personality which made the visit a good experience. Plus you can schedule appointments after work at convenient time.

I had a terrible experience at another dentist, and did not trust them with any of my treatments, as I could tell they were overselling me, and their Unilocal reviews agreed. I asked a co-​worker who his dentist was and he gave high reviews of Dr. Sayedna.
At my visit, Dr. Sayedna gave a full exam, and showed me via a camera the cavities that I had, and recommended basic fillings at a reasonable price. I asked if he had time that same day, and he and his office staff gladly accommodated. The procedure was fairly quick and painless as they took great care, had my insurance documents sent over from Aetna, and priced accordingly.
I’m extremely grateful that I’ve found a Dentist that does great work that I can trust. If you’re looking for a new dentist, see Dr. Sayedna!

I am really happy to find doctor Sayedna. I have been his patient for almost 2 years. So far he has been the best dentist I have been able to find in LA. Really flexible, always willing to work with my schedule. Really honest. Never try to sell or do any procedural that I don’t need. I don’t know how he does it but I never feel any pain when he give me a shot. He is really professional and his assistant is awesome.

I’ve been going to Dr. S for 7 years, and I’ve always been amazed by the friendly staff and how great his work is. Before Dr. S I used to dread going to the dentist, but he is fantastic. I highly recommend this dentist.

I cannot even begin to say how wonderful this dentist is! He is so patient and gentle. I have always had a fear of going to the dentist because of the pain and how careless they can be with my fear of dental procedures. But not this dentist! Finally I have found my permanent dentist after a lifetimes of searching!

When you try to make appointments as a new client, this dental office makes you go call your insurance to get your coverage. I told them I never had to do that because its the dental office’s responsibility to do that. They insisted, so I gave a call to my insurance company. The insurance company told me that that dental office need to call themselves. What a hassle for a new client.
When we actually got there, his service was rough, wasn’t gentle or pleasant.
He also quoted very high prices for us, just to do filling. My husband got it done with another dentist for a lot less. Plus, when we tried to get the X-​ray from him, he said his computer had virus and therefore couldn’t give it to us. When we asked for another exam, his computer virus was suddenly gone. Hmmmm… l

For the most part, I absolutely hate the dentist… so when I started having sensitivity issues in my back molar… I kept putting it off, until I finally decided that I should have it looked at.
My coworkers had recommended Dr. Sayedna’s office — saying that he’s a great dentist, and he’s super nice — and they were right.
When I went in for my first appointment, Dr. Sayedna was not only incredibly sweet, professional and organized, but it really seems like he cares about his patients. I’ve been to many dentists that seem as though they are simply looking to make money. Dr. Sayedna actually takes his time with you and your teeth, he listens, and carefully formulates an appropriate treatment plan.
Not only is he a great dentist, but he’s got the world’s sweetest dental assistant! And they play great music while you’re in the chair!
Turns out my sensitivity was caused by a fracture — and rather than immediately recommending a root canal, Dr. Sayedna took the «conservative» approach, and opted to start with a temporary to see if that could do the trick, which I really appreciated. I don’t want to kill a perfectly healthy nerve if its not necessary!
I would definitely recommend Dr. Sayedna to anyone looking for a new dentist! Even if you’re not looking for a new one… change your current one! Chances are, Dr. Sayedna is better than yours!
