This is a little delayed but I went to Wilson for my now fiancés engagement ring. He was GREAT. I made an appointment and gave him what I had in mind and my price range. When I went in back in November he had diamonds waiting for me to look at. I wasn’t totally satisfied with the diamonds, although they were great. So he made a quick call to I believe another jeweler in the building. He sent his assistant to get a few more options for me. Which had a beautiful 1.25ct cushion cut diamond. Then I looked at the great variety of settings. He helped me decide on a more elegant design, instead of the more mainstream look (halo and pave). So I had a completely custom ring at a total of 1.85ct for $ 4,600. And all great quality.
Less than 1 month later I showed up to pick it up and was in and out in about 5 minutes. I will be back for bands!

I will not go anywhere else for jewelry or custom jewelry. I did my homework and shopped around. His customer service is spot on. The attention to detail is spot on and I have recommended Wilson to many others, who are just as impressed as I was upon the final product. I will be going back in the near future. I’ve been going to Wilson since 2006 or so (?). He is a perfectionist, very nice and very fair. Your not going to find quality better than his. His prices are more than fair, especially considering his quality. You can probably find cheaper, but you’ll end up taking that cheaper made piece to him to have it fixed eventually, and it will end up being more expensive than just getting it done right the first time. Anyways, he is every bit of the 5 stars I give him.

We spent three months looking for the perfect engagement and wedding diamonds, the perfect settings and the perfect investment experience. Over the course of everyday life, we looked at diamonds during travels to India, Europe and back home to downtown LA. My husband visited malls, retail stores, Bluenile and Ritani and a slew of other online stores, as well as the wholesale markets of New York and LA. He definitely did his homework, and even got access to RapNet through some industry friends.
Ultimately, we went with Wilson for the following reasons:
+ Price. Wilson is well established, knows the market, and has very deep buying relataionships which and he passes this purchasing power onto his customers.
+ Honesty and transparency. Very unique in this industry, especially if you don’t want to spend 2−3x more on your gems from Tiffany, Cartier, Winston or some store in some mall
+ Quality. Wilson has incredible buying power and can get you just about anything. For the wedding band, we went with ovals which were extraordinarily hard to procure. But Wilson did it, and well under what anyone else could come close to.
+ Design. We are stickler. We came up with some very difficult and customized designs for mounts and settings, and Wilson did not back down. Instead, he stretched our imaginations even further and produced (CAD, then wax mold then final product) pieces that we will chersih forever
+ Men’s Rings. My husband had a very unique 3-​piece wedding band piece commissioned with medevil calligraphy, three types of gold, and a number of unique elements. Wilsn produced something marvelous at well below what anyone could expect.
+ Service. This place is all about the customer experience. It’s exactly what we would want our family and friends to experience when planning their special day, which is why we refer all of them to Wilson.

Mr. & Mrs Wilson are honest and very friendly. Mr. Wilson is a perfectionist when it comes to his craft. I took some diamond studs in and wanted them double halo-​ed in the same quality of my diamond studs. He did a beautiful job and I was amazed when I picked them up. I will definitely go back for my wedding band.

Wilson worked with my fiancé and I to custom make the engagement ring of my dreams. He worked with our budget to find us the perfect diamond and custom made the band exactly how I wanted it. He even took my Grandmother’s ring and re-​made it so it would match my engagement ring and I am using it as my wedding band. His work is exquisite. He even had it done earlier than he promised. He is the man to go to for beautiful custom jewelry!

We stumbled upon this gem without having any expectations while shopping in the jewelry district. Our first interaction with Wilson was such a positive experience that we did not continue looking for other jewelers. We were looking for something custom and Wilson’s offers that option. He offers computer renderings of the custom design before any actual metal work is done and this is especially helpful.
Wilson was attentive and listened to our description of the style and design elements we were looking for. Every interaction was a pleasant one. He seems very intent on providing a quality customer experience and ensuring that the ring meets or exceeds your expectations.
The cost seems very reasonable. The initial deposit for the design work is fully refundable. The deposit is only non-​refundable once he has begun making the ring. We reviewed online pricing for similar styled rings and loose diamonds and his pricing was very competitive.
Overall, we found the entire experience to be enjoyable and rather easy. After confirming the design and selecting a diamond, we received our custom ring in only three weeks. The end result was a beautiful ring that exceeded our expectations in design and price.

Wilson and his wife are amazing. When I brought in my fiancé’s heirloom diamond engagement ring, he custom built to perfection a wedding band that my wife loves. We couldn’t have been happier with both of our bands built by Wilson. Furthermore, Wilson’s timely customer service is exceptional. Just last week, after dealing with months of back and forth with Macy’s on dysfunctional clasp on the pearl necklace I gave my wife on our wedding day, I went to Wilson to ask for help. Wilson did in one hour what Macy’s could not do in six months. I will always go to Wilson for all our jewelry needs.

It is worth the drive!!! I live in san diego and drove to see Mr. Wilson 3 times… my coworkers told me over and over to go to the diamond district so I finally did. There are tons of jewelry stores it’s overwhelming but i chose to go to the high rise building with the armored trucks out front. I figured with this place being guarded it had to be the real deal. (don’t be fooled by the shops off of the street!!!)
We had looked everywhere and on every floor of this business building and finally came to Wilson’s store. We instantly felt at home, he was very welcoming and very knowledgeable. I looked around and found a ring that I liked and my fiancé took note. He went back on his own and had it customized a little. Came out awesome. I went back to look at wedding bands and had him custom make 2 diamond blinged out bands. When I came back to see the final product, I cried. this is not a lie. I am sure he tells his customers now about me crying over a ring hahaah it was everything I envisioned. I want to say right now that we saved alot of money coming here then going to a jewelry store at the mall or in the downtown area of san diego. I am so thankful for Mr. Wilson and his talents and affordable prices!

My fiancée and I went to choose our wedding bands here. We are 5 hours away, but made the drive because he was highly recommended. We showed up unannounced and were quickly welcomed by Wilson and his team!
My fiancée had done a lot of research for my engagement ring and although we hadn’t decided on the band style yet, he knew what kind of cut and quality we should get. Wilson had a great selection and great quality of diamonds! He was very helpful when it came to making the final decisions and the prices were very reasonable! My fiancée and I both ended up getting two bands because they were of great quality and still within our budget.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Wilson! My fiancée wanted a yellow sapphire instead of a diamond set into a vintage looking ring. After some google image searching I had a rough idea of what I wanted; a two tone Edwardian style ring set with a sapphire. The problem was that it would be impossible to find one off the shelf. A few high end Beverly Hills shops recommended I go talk to Wilson, stating that he is a true artisan and square businessman.
Before going in to Wilson’s I walked all around the jewelry district and was amazed at how many people try to give you the hard sell on items soooo far off the mark of what you are looking for. I felt more like a walking wallet than a person.
As soon as I entered Wilson’s I was offered some cold water and looked around for a few minutes while he finished with the last couple (who seemed to be super pleased with their ring). Wilson, his wife, and his staff were extremely pleasant which was a huge contrast to the gauntlet of jewelers I had just walked through.
We talked about what I wanted, looked through some pictures and I was at ease knowing that he and I shared the same vision. I provided the stone and he worked his magic to make the most incredible ring that has far surpassed my expectations. His communication through the process was excellent and he hit every deadline we had discussed for the mock up and the finished product.
This guy is the best!

First, I know nothing about jewelry, match that with the fact that my fiancée has great taste (she is marrying me after all), the thought of purchasing an engagement ring had me thoroughly freaked. I had scoured LA for vintage yellow gold ring that I knew would be to my ladies dream ring, but none were to be found. After roaming the jewelry district and being shilled every platinum and white gold option in town, I gave in and visited Wilson.
A good friend had gotten his ladies engagement ring from Wilson, and assured me I would be in good hands, but the fear of having to create something from nothing wigged me out as much as buying the ring itself. So with all that said, I visited Wilson unannounced and was immediately put at ease.
We talked through the four C’s of diamonds, sampled a variety of band designs and for once I was put as ease, that no matter what every other jeweler cautioned me about «yellow gold being out of style» Wilson and his team complimented my lady and said she’s ahead of the curve. (Something I already know ;)
We settled on a simple ring to showcase a killer stone (in my budget) and surrounded it with some sparkly friends. The result was fantastic. Though I didn’t know my ladies ring size (I worked hard to keep this proposal a surprise), we got it in the ballpark and shortly after the ring was presented, Wilson fit it proper at no extra charge. Whatta guy!
So with all that, I put my plan into action. Perfect ring ready to present, I unfolded my proposal in the guise of a birthday party and, well you can see for yourself, shocked the hell out of my woman…
… and got a YES.

Wilson’s is beyond a wonderful place! I’m not sure I can put into words how great he and his wife have been towards my fiancé and I. I purchased my fiancé’s engagement ring here and they did a fantastic job; it turned out exactly how we wanted it. We then purchased our wedding bands here and they were just as wonderful. I’m not sure you can find a place that does better work, but you will not find a place with better service. Wilson’s is wonderful!

Wilson is the BEST! My fiancé worked with him to design the most beautiful engagement ring. It can be a nerve-​wracking process, but Wilson is so fun and friendly. This diamond is so beautiful and sparkly, I can’t stop staring at it almost a month later! Wilson even sized it himself, so it fits perfectly, and gave us some jewelry cleaner to keep it looking flawless. It is so radiant, the perfect thing to wear forever :) We even emailed him our engagement video so Wilson could see the big surprise. Such a treat to work with someone who made the process a real pleasure :)

Working with Wilson was as good as it gets! He was very patient, honest, and informative.
Unlike other jewelers we considered working with, Wilson is responsible for the full process, from diamond selection to band/​setting design. Wilson also has all the jewelry tools that make the customer experience valuable, including various diamond holders, loops, and microscopes! His store is also open on Saturday’s, which is a huge plus.
The final product was more beautiful and brilliant than I expected, and my girlfriend was blown away by his work. FIVE stars! I highly recommend!

Shopped for months and within 5 minutes Wilson knew what I had in my thoughts. Great prices and the best service! He truly loved what he does.

He has such beautiful diamonds, diamonds that you could stare at for a long time. Wilson listened to everything I asked for and provided the quality I was looking for. He was genuinely interested in creating the perfect ring.
When I came back two weeks later to pick up my customized ring, I felt so much joy because he created a ring more beautiful than what I envisioned. I couldn’t be happier with the ring and I believe that it is perfect.

Wilson is a rock star and has quickly become our family jeweler. I can not recommend him enough! He worked extensively with my husband to find the perfect old mine cut diamond for my engagement ring. They designed it together based on a photo of an antique ring my husband found and we loved. He was also half the price of the other jewelers we had talked to.
My ring is beautiful and I absolutely love it. I had to get it resized because my husband guessed on my size. Wilson did so free of charge and cleans it for me every time I am in store. I get unsolicited compliments every where I go. We had Wilson build our wedding bands as well and they are perfect.

I LOVE Wilson’s Jewelry! My husband had my engagement ring designed there and it is absolutely perfect! I have a thing for sapphires and my ring features a beautiful emerald cut sapphire. I totally love it. We also got my wedding ring there which Wilson was able to specifically design to go with my ring and my husband who normally hates wearing jewelry loves the wedding ring we found for him there. It’s both masculine and unique. Oh and I adore the Tahitian black pearl necklace my husband bought me there as a wedding gift. I can not WAIT to wear it this weekend
The people who work at the store (it’s a family) are all incredibly friendly and very accommodating of our scheduling needs, always making a point to get us our orders on time or early. I am absolutely sure we will be buying from them again.

My fiancé and I came to the 550 Building on Friday, July 5^th and we were quite surprised to see that most of the jewelry stores were closed. We started on the 5^th floor and walked around until we saw an open store — luckily, Wilson was open for business!
I had searched online for several months and I had a good idea what I was looking for; not only for the diamond engagement ring but also for our bands.
We told Wilson what we were looking for and he made some calls and some stones were brought over. I held my breath as he told us the prices and I was hapily surprised to see that his prices were about $ 1,000 less than the prices I had seen on Blue Nile and other online retail firms. Additionally, his prices for bands were less than the advertised prices at wholesale wedding bands .com
Considering that his «starting» price was below what we saw online, we didn’t even bother to haggle and that made the whole process easy and carefree.
Before we decided to purchase, we decided to go to lunch to talk it over. Wilson encouraged us to think it over and applied NO pressure whatsoever. My fiancé hates pressure sales and this was a big plus for us. In summary — Wilson made the whole process feel like shopping and not haggling.
We selected a center stone, a bridal ring set and bands and made a special request to cut the prongs lower on the engagement ring so that the diamond would be lower in height and profile. Wilson did this for no additional charge. We picked up the rings a week later and we were very impressed with the finished look and packaging.
Everywhere we go, we are asked about our rings and everyone comments how stunning they are. Even the blue boxes that Wilson packaged our rings in look sharp and professional; our priest elected to present our rings in Wilson’s ring box because it looked so handsome.
We had our rings engraved and the engraving is top-​notch. We couldn’t be more pleased with Wilson. Later we met his Wife, son, daughter & even the family dog! We really like Wilson; he is now «our family’s» Jeweler.
