This is a nice hotel… very clean with friendly staff. The room is comfortable with pretty much everything found in higher priced hotels. The breakfast is pretty good too, and there are a lot of good places to eat right next to the hotel if you’d prefer that. I’m also happy they allow pets. I’d recommend this place and will return.

Well, I’m here again in Lufkin, Texas. Best Western is kind of like home when I’m in town.
STAFF– Always friendly. The young lady who checked me in this afternoon was chatty super friendly. She’s an enthusiastic, loyal employee. I like that.
ROOM– Always excellent — it is crazy clean. It has a ceiling fan and that thing in front of the air-conditioner that keeps the drapes from blowing. Why doesn’t every hotel install this cheap plastic thing? It puzzles me.
FREE WIFI– Free and it really works. Are you puzzled that some hotels still charge for wifi?
LOCATION — To say this is near everything might be an understatement. For me, I’m less than five minutes from my client. Walmart is close, I forgot socks again, that is helpful. Outback, Panda Express and Golden Corral are all close along with a lot of other places. Ralph & Kacoos & McDonald’s is right in the parking lot. I tried Panda Express & had Kung Pau Chicken that was spicy & great.
I’d give it five stars except the a/c is loud. Those things happen and it’s no big deal. The reason is the only single beers one can buy in a gas station in the area is a 24 ounce beer. It’s huge. My guess is, if I can finish that, I won’t hear the diesel powered a/c.
RECOMMENDATION — Stay here !! You might save $ 10 somewhere else, but it’s worth it to be here. This place super clean, the lobby is a upscale and I like the staff each time I stay. Staff is key. I think they could drop room rate by $ 15, but that’s me, I’m here. Right?
I’ve never had a bad night here. A/C just cranked up again. I’ll have to finish that beer.

I recently had occasion to stay at this hotel along with several coworkers, for multiple nights. When I initially heard my staff had booked us at a Best Western, I was vocally critical. After visiting this hotel, I now cheerfully retract my original comments.
Immediately upon arriving and entering the lobby, it was apparent this wasn’t like any Best Western I had ever seen before. The grounds and the common areas were VERY well maintained. The rooms were on a par with those in hotels that would be twice (maybe even three times) as expensive. Housekeeping did a fine job, and the staff was VERY courteous. The breakfast was more than adequate, and there is a nice pool for relaxation. Overall, I was highly impressed.
If I ever need a hotel in this area again, I will definitely return to this one.

Very nice, comfortable rooms! No additional plugs by the bed for phone charging… in this day & age, this annoys me a bit. Fake eggs at breakfast, another pet peeve of mine.

Hands down the best hotel in Lufkin! It ranks in the top 5% in the US in customer service and I see why. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally situated just off US 59… just enough so as to be quiet. Great pillows and bedding! Near shopping and restaurants. VERY clean and fresh, hot breakfast.
