This place is pure GARBAGE. I lived at cliffside commons for 3 years.
1. They have MICE.
2. There are crackheads and pillheads everywhere.
3. There are always mountains of trash outside the dumpsters.
4. In the midst of the night you can hear husbands beating the shit out of their wives.
5. Beware of toddlers running around the parking lot without parents present.
6. They are waaaay toooo expensive for a shitty rundown town like Malden.
7. People allow their dogs to shit and piss in the stairwell and do not clean up after them.
8. NOT a nice neighborhood at ALL.
9. Forget the MICE, there are RATS in the walls. They are extremely loud and scratch from the inside of the wall. the rats chewed a hole in the back of my son’s closet.
P. S. Someone was just murdered at Cliffside last week. and yes it was all over the news. Thought that was a nifty little bit of information I should provide.

I’ve lived here for over two years and I am
far from Satisfied. I moved here for a military assignment and had no clue of the area or what to expect. I was shown to the nicer apartments and had high hopes! $ 2100.00 gets you an overwhelming trash issue, which naturally causes a rodent infestation (RATS, RATS and more RATS). Parking problems, like when my wife’s car was almost towed (with parking sticker in plain view). My car was towed (again parking sticker in plain view). Damage was caused by the illegal tow and the management refuses to reimburse me them selves or from the tow company. Noisy neighbors, and mismanagement of mail. IE outgoing mail or stollen packages from the mail room. I plan to go BBB and report these apartments! Do yourself a favor and steer away from this place. Stay tuned for pictures of the rats and trash and parking. STAY AWAY or you will regret it!

I’ve lived here for eight months now, and seriously, I’m in love. Yes, there are a few problems that people have outlined below, like the parking situation, but it’s really only bad if you come home after midnight on a weeknight. Also, my apartment faces Broadway, which has a lot of traffic, so it’s kind of loud. But that doesn’t really bother me.
The property is beautiful, and the apartments are huge. I LOVE having a washer/dryer in my apartment, and a dishwasher, too. The appliances are all new and work well. I do live in a handicapped apartment (I’m not handicapped, though! But it’s $ 250 cheaper, so what the hell), so I think it’s a little larger (especially the bathroom), and the kitchen counters and cabinets are a few inches lower, but that’s fine for me because I’m short!
When I first came to see this place, Kelli, the rental agent (who is amazing, by the way. She remembers everyone’s name and apartment number — there are 230+ units in this building! She’s genius, but out on maternity leave now. Miss her!) said that when Corcoran Management took over a few months earlier, the building was going downhill and they were working on fixing it up. I believed her because all the units I saw had new carpet, fresh paint, and the property was very clean. And in the past few weeks, they’ve begun painting the hallway walls and replacing the old, dirty carpet. It’s looking really nice and I’m excited to see how it all ends up!

I currently live in this apartment complex now and it’s pretty decent. I like the space and it’s easy to keep clean. The kitchen is easy to use and the bathroom is very big for 2 people. The only thing I don’t like are the neighbors. We moved in and one of the apartments next to us was vacant and nowthere’s a family with three kids who moved in. They are always banging on the walls. Although, if you talk to the office, they are very good about talking to the neighbors. Parking in the winter is great. They plow the parking lot the day after every snow and very well. The pool is always full of screaming kids, but it’s a pool only open during the day, so that’s expected. It’s not bad though.

My fiancé and I came here with our rental agent to view a 1BR apartment that was available for rent. Some of the things we liked: that the building is like a U-shape with the pool in the center, so most units have a nice view of it; the open floor plan of the unit; discounts on the first month’s rent if you put a deposit down the day you see it. We didn’t like the small and dull club room, minute fitness center and lack of any other amenities. Additionally, the hallways were small and dark and it reminded me of some small Manhattan hotels — the kind you can’t wait to get out of. The sales guy was nice, but a litlte pushy and we opted to keep looking after seeing this property.
