As someone who has worked in a hardware store before I can attest that this is a very good store. The customer service was better than what I am used to(was greeted and helped within seconds of walking in and the employees were knowledgeable. I am glad we have a great hardware store in the neighborhood. There is an amazing Asian Supermarket next door.

What a hardware store used to be — everything you need and knowledgeable people. Plus, the store is large, airy and well arranged. They sell tools and misc. stuff to handle any DIY project. Everything except lumber. Wish there were more places like this.

This is my favorite hardware store. It is family owned and the service is excellent. They always know what they are talking about and they are very helpful. It is a pleasure to shop in this store.

great employees… some rental equip. id prefer this joint to the box stores. «My Mama always said, ‘Life was like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get.’»

ACE is definitely the place for me. After moving here 8 years ago, I quickly found this place right down the street from my house and became an instant regular. Convenience, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff, great selection, and BEST of all — no trip to Home Despot unless I need lumber. A genuine diamond on the Commercial Street wasteland.

I love browsing Home Depot or Lowes, but when I actually need to find something specific I end up wanting to stab myself with a selection from their 200 varieties of nails. I was super psyched when Lamson opened and I didn’t have to deal with the big box home improvement stores when I had a DIY need. I’ve gotten everything from wood stain to drill bits to an oscillating fan here. It’s a smallish store, but it’s well stocked, I’ve never come away empty handed. Every time I’m in here at least one employee asks if I need help. That rocks. As Matthew A. says, no large items like lumber or appliances here. Dropping a star because I got a set of keys copied here and they did not work at all. I think it’s the machine they use, it looks different than where I got a proper set made. Or it may have been the 15 year old kid that copied them. Stay in school, man, that may not be your calling.

This is an awsome hardware/homegoods store. It has moved locations recently and the new spot is large/clean and looks great. This place has a 100% success rate with me as far as finding what I’m looking for. Some wacked out drill bit that I needed for something specific? They had it. Grounding clips for old wiring? Gots it. Grout cleaner? yup. Rotary rasp? uh huh. You get the idea. The store has such a good layout that I find everything in record time too. I don’t even need employees to show me around since everything is neat and organized, but they’re all over you anyway, asking if you need help. AND they know what they’re talking about. Even the young kids working the register there are very well trained, know the merch, and want to help customers. All this adds up to me being in and out of this place in record time with no headaches. I had to do a refund once and it was quick and no hassle.

This hardware store is so handy and convienant. When I lived in the area, I loved the fact if I had a a project going on, I could run down here, park and be in and out within minutes. It beats having to run over to Homo Depot in Everett. At Lamson Hardware, there is plenty of parking, and they have most everything except building materials and lumber.
