Two Guns Espresso Cafe

I normally get discouraged with espresso based coffee because I figure it is going to be strong but their coffee was amazing! I ordered a hot mocha and I am sad I ordered a small size.
This place is very small with a cute porch on the front.

Two guns? More like TWO BOMBS! I call this staff the «Bombsquad» because every time I go it’s THE BOMB!
Staff helps me with picking the best flavor beans for my taste (have not tried one yet that I disliked!) and they teach me the proper way to grind it depending on if I am using a machine, french press or pour over.
Plus, they’ll geek out with you over sports, super heroes, movies or anything!
Their drinks in house are awesome as well. They take time and care into your drink. Bullet, flat white and all others are BOMB!

What a discovery… in a modest area in the delightful Manhattan Beach precinct we found this gem.
This was a barista at the top of the trade…“no here we know that as a Gibraltar” as he response to my friends description of the piccolo latte that she was seeking. That Gibraltar came out perfectly, and the macchiato was A+ as was the cappuccino.
We loved the coffee — we did ‘a round the table tasting’ and we all thought this was three out of three for ’ best in LA class’. True consistency, and we enjoyed the strong, smooth coffee with a fragrant after taste. So nice to get all coffees neither burnt nor bitter.
Lovely people who served some delightful cake and pastries to make the experience even more memorable. We have driven across town to enjoy the coffee again… probably one my strongest forms of endorsement.

My favorite coffee shop in Southern California. Everything is perfect. I love the flat white (which you can get with regular, coconut, hemp, or some other kind of milk).
I’m usually not a fan of soft cooked eggs, but their pretzel stanwich is to die for: pretzel bread, soft egg, arugula… add bacon & cheese yum yum.
The baked goods in the pastry case tend to run out quickly! I love the cookies and the croissants.
The seating area inside is a little small, but it’s good to grab and go with your food and drinks. No wifi! :)

Great coffee and really friendly service. They have some tasty breakfast /​lunch options too. My only wish is that it was a little bit bigger because the line is almost always out the door. The staff does a rest job keeping the line moving, so I don’t mind the wait.

Tiny place, limited Parking. Really busy in the morning. They only do pour overs in the afternoon. Espresso is really good. Good food too.

My favorite coffee joint in Manhattan Beach! Their coffee bean blends are strong and to the point. My «go to» order was a large cold brew with half ice; however, their roasts were so strong that I just do regular ice now. I have tried their white flat which is delicious — just like how everybody says it is.
In terms of food, I’ve tried their toast with avocado. It is delicious but I think it could have used some extra salt and seasoning. But all in all, this is my FAVORITE coffee house in MB. Highly recommended and will want you coming back for more!

So was looking for a quick caffeine boost while in the area and stumbled upon this place. This place is amazing, I ordered a mocha and its taste was great. Starts with the espresso bitterness, though not strong, then slowly the chocolate taste hits your taste buds. Very well made and it also was the temperature I like my coffees to be at.
This location happens to be on a main street but they also have great options for parking right in front their establishment which is a huge plus in this area. The staff was real friendly and very helpful as well. I wanted to see how popular their mocha was and I was assured it was definitely one of their top options and orders here.
The place looks like a small house with seating on its porch. Inside they have tables and chairs as well if you are staying in.
I would absolutely recommend this place. I can not wait to pay them another visit and try my favorite (flat white) drink with them to see how it is.

I had my first flat white here a long time ago when I used to live in the area. At that time I only ordered because it was one of the highlights and had no clue it would become this huge trend couple years later. I remembered thinking it was a very good latte.
Now I’m a tiny bit more informed and having tried flat whites at other coffee shops, I can appreciate the flat white here. Bold, smooth, and creamy. The owners are kiwis so you know it’s as authentic as a flat white can be!
Cute little store and relaxing outdoor patio. Parking lot is rather sketchy.

After the beautiful Maila H. wrote the wildest review for Two Guns, I had to check this place out for myself. First impression, it’s very popular, not-​so-​hidden yet outstanding gem in Manhattan Beach! I’m not your avid coffee drinker, however I do appreciate the aroma the moment I step in. That’s when you know you’ve made it safely to TG!
I made it a point to visit at least three times before leaving a review to make sure everything checks out. Little did I know, I would be hooked more and more after my every visit.
Drinks I’ve tried so far: latte, flat white & white coconut crème hot tea.
All were excellent. In terms of coffee, I liked the flat white more over the latte. Heads up, sweeteners are not added. They do provide a condiment section if you’d like to add honey, agave, cinnamon, cocoa powder & so on. Or even add more cream if you’d like. When ordering, you have options to choose: soy, almond, hemp, coconut milk… any for 65 cents extra. I can’t wait to try more of their drinks. Mocha & the Frozen Bullet are definitely on my «Must Try» list.

Food I’ve tried so far:
Quiche Special with a side of Baby Arugula Salad – mushroom, bacon, spinach, tomato, eggs ($ 6.50)
–This was my very first meal from here. I liked the quiche, the salad not so much. It was very salty. At that point, I still didn’t cross this place out only because the service and ambiance were impressive. I let the salad slide.
Acai Chia cup – coconut chia pudding, acai, granola, berries ($ 6.80)
– A bit pricey for the amount you get but it’s undeniably healthy and delicious! I have nothing bad to say about it. I’d definitely get it again.
Pretzel Stan-​wich – grilled pretzel bun, pesto, fried egg, tomato, arugula ($ 6.25)
– I said no tomato, add asiago & gruyère cheese. It won’t disappoint. Next time, I’ll definitely add bacon or ham too! The buns made this sandwich for me. They were the best pretzel buns I’ve ever had. So soft, yet firm enough to hold everything together till the last bite. You can tell it was fresh. Anything with egg, I’m in love. I highly recommend trying this.
Ricotta Stuffed French Toast –bananas, mixed nuts, housemade caramel ($ 8.90)
– If you prefer nutella over ricotta, do it! Both are excellent options. It came out fairly quick, quicker than at IHOP or The Pan! The quality you ask?!! The best I’ve ever had. It was perfection. The house-​made caramel was my favorite part. People say it’s a must try. I couldn’t agree more.
Service/​Ambiance:
I’ve only managed to drop in between opening time till 11ish am. All times would be their busiest whether it’s dine-​in or take out. I’ve noticed people make time to wait in line no matter what for that good cup of Joe. I would too. Carryn stood out to me most. On my first visit, the line was out the door but she stayed collected. I was impressed. The line went by quick and the food and drink were called out soon after I had just paid. Seating is a bit tough, but I’ve always lucked out in finding a table inside. They do have a few outdoor seats as well.
Regardless how busy they get, I would recommend checking them out. Get the full experience. This is not like your average Starbucks or CBTL. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. During each of my visits, I’ve witnessed different baristas call out drinks more than once so your drink doesn’t get cold. If you’re waiting outside, they make their way out to look for you too. Where else do they do that?! I appreciate the little things.
I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been coming to Two guns espresso since 2014.
This is a small, cute coffee place located in Manhattan Beach.
I love this place so much that even my coffee buddy surprised me with a two guns espresso tumbler mug so every time I use it when I buy m coffee I get 10% off.
The coffee is really good with a lot of taste.
My favorite drinks are:
1. Their mocha which is extremely rich
2. Their latte and cappuccino.
3. And now I’m addicted to their unbelievable exquisite flat white.
My fav food (so far):
Avocado toast, simply delicious.
The grilled pretzel bun with pesto l, fried egg, tomato, arugula
Oatmeal with banana so addicting
All the pastries are yummy but you need to go before 10:00 am before they sold out.

This place still is a five! But I’m updating cause I just came back from Australia. I had tons of flat whites all over there. I still have to say, this place is the most legit/​authentic I’ve found in the states for fulfilling my flat white fix. Definitely try it here.
Additionally, you should try the Stanwich, its quite delicious. I had similar types of sandwiches in Australia so there is definitely something Aussie about it (they were all great).
Seating is limited here, I’ve tried coming here for work, but there aren’t outlets/​wifi and there are only 4 tables or so inside. So really, just come here for great coffee and a place to sit and enjoy said coffee. It won’t bring down my rating because it still delivers on what’s important.

This place is pretty awesome.
My hubby has been here many times for takeout but this was my first experience going there myself. Staff is friendly and service is quick for how many people they get.
Seating is really tight. Maybe 4 – 5 tables inside and little patio area outside. (Good if you have a dog with you.) But only a couple other seating options outside. We got lucky and someone left right as we finished ordering at the counter. Someone quickly came over and wiped the table down. thumbs up!!!
I ordered a small house coffee. REALLY GOOD and strong coffee here. This is how real coffee should taste! If you like the taste of coffee, you will like this place… if you don’t, then you should probably stick to something a little more weak. I also ordered the mushroom and biscuit. (As a semi-​vegetarian, I really miss biscuits and gravy because it’s almost always sausage gravy. YAY for this mushroom one!) It comes with a sunny side up egg, smothered in mushroom gravy with a yummy crispy, buttery biscuit. (it was a little saltier than I prefer, and that’s saying something, because I love salt!) My hubby ordered the pretzel sandwich with bacon. It’s what he always gets. He swears by it!
All in all, a great place for coffee and a semi quick brunch. Be expected to wait if you want to sit here though. I would imagine it can get pretty packed on the weekends.
Also, use their Belly!!! You get a free drip coffee on your next visit! :)

Good coffee, friendly staff and they sell Donut Snob donuts on Friday and Saturday.
This is not your typical Starbucks crap coffee place. The coffee is good. Not burnt, not bitter and not loaded with other crap. Two guns also offers a robust menu at reasonable prices. I would rather pay a little more for quality than quantity. Two guns can be a little busy in the morning but, good things are worth the wait.

They’ve shot me. They’ve shot me with TWO GUNS partner. Each pistol loaded with two shots of espresso. It was Dirty Hairy, Dirty Hairy who shot me.
I was rootin’ tootin, saddled up and ready for a hoedown when I stopped by this Western corral. All the cowboys will tell ya, it be the best in town.
Wild Wild West syle, I was hootin and hollering for a good ol’ fashioned joe. Espresso, long black, macchiato, cappuccino, flat white, latte or mocha, they be servin’ up all the right fixins. You’ll be kickin’ up your heels and ready for a stampede.
Reckon after being shot with TWO GUNS, the outlaw that I am giddy up on and lassoed in my macchiato. No Whiskey for me but still a hog-​killin’ time, it had been worth being shot.
The stakes were high and so had been the action. Hi Ho silver I rounded up my little buckaroo and rode off into the sunset.

Very cool little coffee shop. The cold brew is great. The theme of the shop is dope. With the plastered Dirty Harry you feel protected and safe.

Their coffee blend is so good! It’s flavorful yet very balanced, has notes of dark chocolate and roasted marshmallow
The pretzel stanwich with cheese and bacon was a good breakfast sandwich that didn’t really super greasy and heavy like breakfast sandwiches sometimes are. The pretzel bun was also extremely soft.
Tried friends biscuits and gravy which also didn’t taste super heavy — tasted like a healthier version of biscuits lol their house made biscuits were good! Again not super greasy. My friend didn’t like too much Bc it tasted too light/​healthy for him so if you want that then go somewhere else!

As a Starbucks and Coffee Bean drinker, my taste buds have been put to shame! This privately owned coffee shop is both charming and delicious. My go to is the Salmon toast with a hazelnut latte (no whip cream available though). Bring a friend or escape by yourself to this little spot and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Okay, I started working near here which is bad and good. Good because I can drop by in the mornings on the way to work or drop by during my lunch break. Bad because of the aforementioned reasons. Always get the cold brew, but I tried the mocha yesterday morning which was… Really good! The avocado toast… Amazing! The ham and cheese croissant? Double amazing! See where I’m going with this? It is a blessing and a curse to be so close by.

Really enjoyed the flat white! Hooray Aussies! My first time trying it. Tastes similar to a cappuccino although apparently one difference is there is no dry foam, just ‘velvety milk’ or microfoam… Does that make sense? Do I really know the difference? Who knows! I’d order it again from here, not Starbucks.
The herb and cheese cornbread with scrambled eggs was pure brunchy comfort food. My friend had the Pretzel Stanwich. The fried egg is cooked just right. When he bit in the yolk burst and drizzled out… all over his face hahaha.

I think I understand the high rating, based on locale and local demographic, however, I believe it is unwarranted.
The cold brew is watered down. In fact, it was rather difficult to taste anything other than water and a hint of coffee at the first few sips.
The food is bland. The avocado toast flavors just mushed together. There was no complexity or evolution, and the toast was little more than warm bread.
The pretzel Stanwich was moderately better, in that the bun was soft, warm, and not overly dense or chewy like most pretzel buns. The pesto took front stage as the ‘wich was drenched in it. Otherwise, it was unremarkable.
An upturn was that the food seemed to bring out some flavor in the coffee. While the brew seems too weak, at least for me, I picked up a subtle dirtiness and apparent acidity. I was denied most of the flavor profiles their house brew touts, however; caramel, dark chocolate, roasted marshmallow, full body.
I will not return.

This place has been on my list since I love a good flat white, but the few times I’ve tried to grab some coffee, the line was out the door. Finally drove by at a weird hour and while busy, there wasn’t a line.
After one sip I see what all the hype is about. Their flat white is delish. And they offer almond milk.

I heard about this coffee shop through a couple LA foodie reviews. This was the first time we went here, and it definitely stands out as my favorite coffee shop in the southbay. Very friendly staff, great drip coffee and surprisingly good food menu. And the Pretzel Pesto Breakfast Sandwich!!! One of my favorite breakfast items ever.
We were there around 11am on a Sunday and there were no tables available. Service was quick was we needed up at one of the standing only tables. The sandwich was a lot bigger than expected and full of flavor. Egg, ham (extra cost), cream cheese, pesto, arugula on a pretzel bun… A flavor party! I’ll definitely be coming back here next weekend for this sandwich.
My girlfriend had the Avocado Toast and had just average things to say about it. They went heavy on the burrata cheese in exchange for lite avocado. She still enjoyed it but not the best. However, overall experience was two thumbs up! Well be back

The silence was deafening as the two bandits faced each other. Their eager hands waiting for the signal. Finally, pow! Both hands rush for their cup of coffee as one gulps his down before the other, also burning himself in the process.
Two Guns has some wonderful coffee in the manhattan beach area. It’s situated in a plaza that looks quite western which matches its name.
As for the coffee itself, I loved their flat white, it was made just right. Of course, like any other hipster coffee shop, I’m not sure the prices ever justify the size of the coffee but the quality is certainly worth it. Just don’t make this your daily coffee stop or you’ll be spending too much.
The wild west isn’t all too bad.

My good friend works here in the back baking all the goodies on some days and so I decided I must Unilocal this place. I’ve always known her to be a phenomenal and innovative baker (and health conscience) n so I felt the need to see if where she’s working is deserving of her merits.
It’s a cute little place. Very cozy with tables indoor and some random lounge seats outside. The baked goods are all fresh from early morning. I tried the blueberry Danish and that first bite, even before I got to the actual blueberries and custard, was delectable. This is officially my favorite pastry… Incredible, not too sweet or buttery and has all the essence of a great Danish. Good with the two shot expresso (that was strong, I felt it halfway through). Milk, also a very good pair.
Good place to meet up n chill or just sit around and stare into space.

Good coffee (read: coffee not from a chain establishment) is hard to come by, especially in the South Bay, so when I read about Two Guns in Manhattan Beach, I knew it was a place I had to check out. In coming here early in the morning, I was incredibly grateful that they had a large variety of food options on their glass white board, and a small and straightforward coffee menu. My husband and I both were persuaded to try their Christmas cold brew despite it being in the low 50s that morning and I couldn’t be happier with that choice. The Christmas cold brew was literally like drinking Christmas where it tasted of cinnamon and spices but not in an artificial flavoring kind of way. We also had oatmeal and an acai chia seed bowl for breakfast and both were delicious and something we would both get again. I definitely enjoyed everything at Two Guns and will absolutely be back next time I’m in the area!

After a wonderful late lunch at Jus Poke, I stumble upon this charming small coffee shop and had pleasantly good experience.
Its presence in front has somewhat of western style saloon theme, which probably explains why they’re called «Two Gun Espresso». Yes, they do offer shots, but not the kind you would expect from a high noon shootout. Perhaps Dirty Harry pointing a 44 magnum towards you would inspire a cup of joe, check out painting behind the counter. Despite the name, the place serves excellent coffees, sandwiches, pastries and light bites. It’s a bit small with very little ambiance and personal space, but offers a great vibe to hang out.
I ordered a latte ($ 4.00) and the friendly baristas crafted me a refreshing brew complete with artistic flair. So divine, perfect milk foam to coffee ratio. I noticed a few gripes on Unilocal about the coffee not being too hot. Mine was just the right drinking temperature. Any hotter would definitely chap my hide.
Fantastic coffee shop worth checking out if you’re in the town. Yes, tell them Dirty Harry recommended you.

Hardly in Redondo/​Manhattan Beach area but my niece had a dance competition this one weekend & I was immensely sleepy.
Cue my bookmarks. Two guns! Awesome. Go.
The «How about a cup of Joe?» was probably already reason for bookmarking. It’s a sweet corner kept coffeeshop. You walk across a welcome mat personally designed to the café as soon as you walk inside. Clean & big menu pulling you right in.
COFFEE: My usual vanilla latte. Almond milk sub. Delicious, creamy, & very fitting for my caffeinated needs. Even threw in a little latte art for a to go cup. Their cups are great to not burn fingers, I really like their cup design of the cardboard ridges.
If I were in the area again, I’d definitely revisit.

I’m not sure there’s much I can add with all the other amazing reviews below but I can tell you this coffee shop is perfection! Minimalistic, uncluttered, and somehow earthy, the quintessential expectation of what one would expect in Cali.
Dos Pistolas is a must try while visiting Manhattan Beach and if you try only one thing, get the frozen bullet, seriously just get it! It’s a coffee smoothie made with espresso with flavors that are soft and creamy, it costs your mouth most pleasantly!
I feel I need to also comment on their impressive food menu that they cook in house. It’s limited but every item is well thought out and expertly prepared! I adore their version of biscuits and gravy which consisted of two buttery flaky biscuits with just the right amount of crunch on the top layer, an egg over easy, and topped with a thick mushroom gravy that brings it altogether. Wow!
I can honestly say that I make an effort to always Ry new places when I go on travel but I will always come back here when I am in town.

Two Guns is in a little plaza that looks like the wild wild west. Once in the store, it’s small with around 4 – 5 tables but it is cute. This place would be an ideal place to o lounge around however there is not internet since they want you to enjoy the coffee. I ordered a latte as well as an everything bagel with cream cheese and tomatoes. The cashier was very nice and accommodating to my requests for my bagel. The coffee and bagel came out pretty fast. Latte came out with a cute heart. A little light for my taste but still good. Bagel was not burnt and was toasted perfectly. The best thing about this place are the employees who are just so nice. It makes a big difference. Will come again when I’m around the area.

Did they just bite the name from the movie with Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington?
They share a parking lot with other joints like Big Wok so it can be challenging to find an open spot at times. We went on a random Monday, in broad daylight. The tiny place wasn’t flooded with patrons but most of the tables were occupied. It’s a simple set up, a bit trendy, modern, and the menu isn’t plastered with a bunch of fillers where your eyes go ape sh! t.
She had the Frozen Bullet since it was a warm day and I went with their ever popular Flat White. The dude recommended it to me since I was looking for something with a nice kick. Don’t let the Flat White’s small amount fool you. The coffee is real. I’m no java expert but I can say I drink enough of it to know what’s good. I can appreciate a simple small cup of coffee that tastes legit and where I don’t have to add anything to it. The Flat White is like a hot latte with espresso shots in it. It’s the Napoleon complex of coffee.
The Frozen Bullet is refreshing especially on a typical warm So Cali day. It supposedly contains some mint but I was never able to extract that specific taste. It’s not overbearingly sweet and again, it’s good to go as is. If you’re into blended coffee drinks, this is right up your alley. I will tell you that the Flat White is on a total opposite spectrum than the Frozen Bullet. So it all comes down to your preference or how you feel at that particular moment. They have some other options too.
Not that I frequent trendy (a bit hipster-​ish) coffee joints often but every once in a while I can appreciate a good cup of java. It’s definitely a nice break from the typical coffee chains that dominate every corner of our hoods. Two Guns, we’ll have another rendezvous. Maybe I’ll get a sammich and take some fresh coffee beans home to my French press next time.

Wow, der beste Kaffee den ich bis jetzt in den USA getrunken habe. Lecker. Das Café ist von außen eher unscheinbar und wirklich winzig. Aber ein kleiner Geheimtipp würde ich sagen. Auch mein Frühstück im Bretzel-​Brötchen war ausgezeichnet.

The is a small, trendy coffee shop with very limited indoor and outdoor seating. It was a little difficult for us to find parking. There was none in the lot, so we had to search for nearby street parking. But, be careful of where you park and perhaps check your car before you leave… we saw someone from a nearby business hit the side mirror of a parked car. It looked like he left a note… or, at least we think he did… but, still… we thought we’d throw that out there. The staff was helpful and friendly.
We each ordered a drink. The first was the Flat White and the second was the Frozen Bullet. The Flat White is pretty much a latte with two shots of espresso and tasted nice and smooth. The Frozen Bullet is a blended mocha/​espresso/​mint drink which was yummy and refreshing… especially on a hot day.
We both ordered a Stan-​wich (pesto, tomato, arugula, and fried egg on a pretzel bun) and added cheese (asiago and gruyère) and bacon to one of them. We actually got enough bacon to share amongst the two of us, so it was a good serving. The pretzel bun was fresh and soft. The yolk of the fried egg was the perfect amount of runny.
Give this place a try if you happen to be nearby and in need of a pick-​me-​up or a little something good to eat.

Service was wonderful. I stated that I had never been and they let me try their cold pressed and drip along with my espresso.
Food menu looked appealing with multiple people coming in asking for sandwiches and other items with their bread/​baguettes. Word of mouth from customers made me believe their food is worth getting if you are hungry unlike most coffee shops.
Flat White — 3.75 stars, As far as espresso is concerned, I was just «happy» with my Flat White drink. Most people on here rave about it but I couldn’t really taste the espresso, 2 shots were in here really? I will say that the drink had a chocolatey flavor to it which is unique considering its just coffee and milk. The bean really transforms when they make it into espresso. It was also incredibly smooth. But for me I want less milk and to taste the complexities of the bean, it just taste like smooth chocolate coffee.
Drip — 1.5 stars, didn’t taste great, unfortunately i bought a bag of beans here before i tried it because i wanted to try it at home with my coffee makers. Hopefully its better than in the store.
Cold Pressed — 4 stars, quite pleasant, smooth and nice, cold pressed is solid here.

I never really knew what a flat white was until I experienced it at Two Guns Espresso.
It was only through word of mouth that I discovered Two Guns. My friend had been bugging me to try their flat white for a while, until I finally made an effort to stop by.
Don’t let its small size fool you, the flat white is strong with 2 shots of espresso, smooth and creamy throughout. I really thought the creaminess came from the whole milk that they used. However, on my second time I ordered one with low fat milk. I could not tell the difference… it was still just as creamy. My friend orders hers with almond milk.
Next on my list to try is their chai latte which I also heard is pretty darn good.
The best way to enjoy their flat white is to sip it slowly while sitting on the bench outside, especially on a beautiful day.
