Worst landlord I’ve had so far… or maybe it’s just my rep. The representative in charge of the building is very difficult to get ahold of unless you start making 311 reports. Before I even moved in, I tried calling the rep and the main number for the company to schedule picking up my key for days. I had to get the broker involved and we finally reached the super so I could even move in. At that point, I knew this might be an issue. When I first moved in, my apartment was renovated but they didn’t seal multiple holes causing a major rodent issue. After harassing them and making multiple reports as well as letting them know I was considering breaking my lease, I finally got the holes patched up. (Of course, that was after the super’s initial suggestion that I should just set some traps. I guess he thought I should try to trap all the mice and rats from the neighborhood.) The main entrance to the door was broken (doesn’t lock) for months. After multiple requests for them to fix it, I finally gave up. A few times, even with the door lock broken, the alarm for the main door went off for hours. One time, it lasted multiple days. I made multiple complaints about this as well and it took them forever (my main issue with this is that it was so loud, it was hard to sleep). They did construction on the building and changed the mailboxes and, weeks later after multiple requests, I still hadn’t received my key to get my mail. I also used to get notices from ConEd saying they were behind in their payments and that it might affect the entire building’s access to electricity even if we were current on our bills. Finally moved and it took 86 days from the time I moved to get my deposit (they still didn’t give me the interest). If I see their name on another lease, no way I’m signing!!!

BSD Realty is a Management Company in the building where I’ve been living for a year. Highly professional company with great management and employees, delivering great and fast service. I definitely recommend doing business with this company!

This management company tried to turn around an older building where I live, and they did a really good job when they were here. The highlights– online availability to pay rent, organization of the super emailing tenants to set a date & time for repairs and arriving on time, maintenance & care of the building & garden. Since BSD left & Big City Realty has come in, the garden has died due to lack of turning on sprinklers, mgmnt disorganized, now a slumlord building. BSD was great and always organized.
