Clare has created such wonderful and moving pictures over the years that many families return with their second and third babies. Wouldn’t you want to work with a photographer who would make you feel that way?

Her background as a fashion and commercial photographer have taught her the best way to flatter a pregnant woman’s belly as well as her face, creating images that range from romantic to flirtatious. Her easy going attitude will relax even the most self-​conscious mother to be (or dad) resulting in images that you will truly feel reflect you at your best, even with that extra baby weight.

It’s not unusual that Clare gets called the baby whisperer during her newborn sessions, or even asked to come over and babysit! She is calm, caring and completely understands that, for some new parents, this is a very overwhelming time. Clare will handle your new baby with love and care, working with or without props, to create images that you and your family will cherish for generations to come.

Clare Fisher Photography has been specializing in high end, classic and artistic maternity photography and newborn photography for over nine years. Her career started in fashion and commercial photography, evolved into general portrait photography before finding her niche creating pregnancy and newborn portraits.

After earning my credentials — a degree in Art & Art History from the University of Toronto and one in Photography from Ryerson University — my career twisted and turned through fashion and commercial and general portrait photography before settling on mothers-​to-​be and newborn portraits. «My parents» are a diverse group and I love meeting and talking to them at one of the most exciting times in their lives. And I am so fortunate to spend so much time with newborns — there’s nothing more grounding or exhilarating than a few hours with a brand new human.

We had the pleasure of working with Clare for both of our babies newborn shots. She really took the time to find out out what style pictures we had envisioned and accommodated us with the perfect props! My toddler was having a particular bad day (refusing to smile, look at the camera, or do anything we asked of her) during our sons newborn pictures and Clare managed to get really amazing pictures out of her. She is incredibly patient and warm! We are going back for a third time tomorrow and can hardly wait to work with her again!

Clare took absolutely beautiful pictures of my husband and me when I was pregnant, as well as of our daughter when she was 11 days old. Reviewing a number of different websites, I found Clare’s simple, sophisticated aesthetic really in line with what we were looking for in a pregnancy and newborn photographer. In person, on the phone, and over email, Clare is very professional and personable, and a pleasure to work with. Of course our baby pictures are so beautiful and adorable, but what’s really amazing is that even though I never really thought that I was photogenic, Clare made me look so beautiful, even 11 days after giving birth! Making exhausted and overwhelmed new parents look good — that’s a real testament to a photographer’s skill! A really excellent experience overall.

A fantastic photographer with a great eye for detail and a fabulous rapport with the subject; children and adults alike. Our twin children first went under her lens at 2 weeks old, and they thoroughly enjoyed their most recent visit for Holiday pictures. Clare is fun yet professional and always strives to get the perfect shot.

Clare did an outstanding job, capturing brilliant photographs of our daughter for her 6 month pictures. Clare is great with kids and had no problems getting our little girl to smile for the camera. The final product was so good, we blew it up and hung it in the nursery. Anytime we have a visitor, they always comment on what a spectacular picture it is. We will definitely be returning for another photo session with Clare in the near future.

Clare is by far one of the best photographers we have ever met! And I have met several top notch photographers in my day bc I used to model and be involved with high end fashion. She is not only professional, warm, kind hearted, and fantastic with young kids, babies, and pregnant women, she is VERY artistic and has a great eye… We have been customers of hers for the past 2 ½ years, and I would not go to anyone else to capture our pregnancy photos, newborn shots, or family photos. Every single picture she takes is breathtakingly beautiful and very artistic looking… looks straight out of a magazine! I cannot tell you how many compliments we have gotten over the years from her work that is generously displayed throughout our home. We are sooo proud of what she has done for us, and I couldn’t say enough about her creative vision and professionalism. We will be working with her as our family grows and cannot wait to see the end results of her vision. She is the best in Manhattan, hands down. We hired Clare for our sons newborn photography and could not be happier with her work! We had done extensive research before opting to go with her services and her end product greatly surpassed our expectations. We have an entire wall in our home covered with pictures she took that day alongside another enormous canvas blow up. The first thing guest comment about is her work when they step into our home.
She has an incredible gift for taking natural photos with an artistic air. Our photos look like they are right out of a magazine. Further more, she is absolutely amazing to work with. She has a very kind spirit and is amazing with children. She is incredibly professional and goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
