Peter was great in helping us with a coop purchase. While the transaction was going on, he was promptly returning email day or night, answering our questions, and was thorough in reviewing the documents Best part is when we sat down to review the contract, he located paperwork showing that the apartment size was smaller than what was advertised helping us to negotiate a substantial price reduction! That was huge.
Two years after the purchase, we ran into issues with the paperwork (filed by the opposing firm) that was misfiled by the city. Peter was instrumental in chasing the issue down for us, no charge.
Wouldn’t for a second hesitate using him again. What a real estate attorney should be these day.

One would think that finding an apartment in Manhattan would be the hardest part of buying an apartment but the truth is the closing part of it is much harder. After calling a good half a dozen lawyers and having no one get back to me despite me being clear about the fact that I’d already made an offer, gotten accepted and was looking for a lawyer to represent me in the transaction, I got Peter’s contact information from a friend who had used him in his real estate purchase. Within an hour of leaving Peter a message, he actually called me back (before any of the other dozen lawyers I’d called the day before had even called me back). He was straight forward, sounded competent and inspired confidence in me. His fee may not be the cheapest but given buying real estate is such an expensive and tricky (in Manhattan) ordeal anyways, I was willing to pay up a bit to make sure that everything went well.
Peter was always reachable and prompt in returning calls/​emails and correspondence overall. He took his time going through the entire contract sitting down with me for a good hour, going clause by clause, explaining everything to me in laymen terms. Even at the closing itself, sitting with the seller’s attorney and my mortgage company’s representative, everyone only had good things to say about Peter, letting me know I should not worry about anything going wrong since Peter was my attorney (and this was in his absence).
Peter is an amazing find. His offices are neither drab nor ostentatious. And I would definitely use him again in another real estate transaction.
