History

Established in 2000.

The Karen Willis Holmes brand was founded in 2000 creating couture bridal gown pieces for her clients. In 2004, following the success of the couture label, Karen branched out to design the Bespoke Bridal Collection. This collection resonates with clients who require a wedding gown with hand crafted couture quality, fit and sophistication, but with the price and ease of a ready to wear wedding dress.

In 2012, Karen responded to an increasing demand for a more relaxed bridal look for the independent bohemian bride, designing two Ready to Wear Collections. With an emphasis on a more whimsical aesthetic, using soft, sheer fabrics, lace and delicate beading.

Business Owner

Originally from England, Karen moved to Australia with her family where she studied fashion design and manufacturing. Returning to London, Karen worked with companies specializing in evening and special occasion day wear before moving back to Australia to open a store designing evening wear and couture bridal pieces.

Karen has gone on to now have flagship boutiques across Australia and in February 2014 opened her first flagship boutique in the United States, in New York. The Karen Willis Holmes brand has stockists across America, as well as internationally.
