Manhattan LX Limo

Initially I booked a car service from JFK to Chelsea using a Groupon. When that company failed to respond to emails or phone calls, I searched Unilocal and found Manhattan LX Limo. When someone answered the phone and quickly and efficiently set up the trip to and from JFK, I was hopeful (who knows with a car service until you use them?). Every part of my interactions with them went smoothly. They reply to calls and emails promptly — day or night. The drivers strike a perfect balance of friendly and professional. When I realized there had been a misunderstanding with one driver about whether the gratuity was already on my credit card or I’d tip him in cash — and it turned out I did both — the duplicate was refunded within hours. No question that I will be using Manhattan LX Limo anytime I’m in New York.

I travel very extensively all around the country and used LX Limo on my last trip to New York. I read very positive reviews about them here and booked for my trip from JFK to Omni hotel in Manhattan. When I booked my trip I spoke with David who was very professional. He provided me with a rate and I decided to book a sedan for my trip. Almost right away I received a confirmation from David. The whole process was very fast and efficient.
Upon arrival I was greeted by my driver George who was very pleasant and offered to help me with my luggage. In fact I soon as I turned on my phone there was a message saying the driver is on site and waiting at a designated spot. Once we arrived at our car bottled water was offered which was very nice on a hot day and fresh newspaper for my trip to Midtown. Very nice touch. Sedan was in great shape and looked well maintained. The ride was super comfortable. I mentioned to George that I would like to book a return trip also. With a simple 1 –2 minute call I was set for my return.
My overall experience with LX Limo was excellent from reservation to actual trip. I would highly recommend them for their professional approach. I was truly treated as a VIP on my very first trip. Anyone looking for great and reliable car service in NYC should consider these guys.

The bottled water waiting for us was a nice touch! There’s nothing I want more than some water after 6 hours of flying, so that was much appreciated. The vehicle was clean and very nice. I highly recommend Manhattn LX Limo for their unbeatable customer service.

Using Manhattan LX Limo was a wonderful experience. Dispatch staff in Manhattan LX Limo company was fantastic and the driver was excellent. Unfortunately with all the craziness that day we were unable to thank him for the great job that he did. Manhattan LX Limo exceeded what we expected and we were extremely happy with their service. They made that day even more memorable with their excellent service.

Great and timely service! Needed wedding transportation and got all vehicles reserved with LX Limo. All cars were very clean, drivers professional and arrived on time. Will use again.

My wife Bianca and I were married on July 2,2012, and we hired this limousine service to take us to and from the wedding. When we called beforehand we requested an 8 – 10 person limousine with the «Wedding Package» and we said we needed it to pick us up at our apartment in Manhattan at 3:30 PM and that we would require it until 1:30 A.M., to bring us home, and then our babysitter to her home. We were quoted an hourly rate of $ 110.00/hour plus gasoline, tolls, and gratuity for the driver. We were told this would amount to $ 1639.00, and this is the contract we agreed to. We were also told to email our itinerary to them, so the driver could map out our route beforehand, which we did.
When the limousine arrived, I told the driver we were going to Coney Island, and he said,” where is that?”. When I told him it was in Brooklyn, he asked how he should get there. I said I’d like him to take us over the Brooklyn Bridge and then the Belt Parkway, and he just said,” I have to go the way the GPS tells me.”
The limo had wet seats and floors and was unearthly hot, so obviously there was no preparation made for us beforehand.
The «Wedding Package» was supposed to include a complimentary bottle of champagne, but there was NOTHING in the car except warm sodas and no ice. I had grabbed a bottle of Prosecco from the apartment just in case this occurred, and there was nothing provided in the car to take the cork out of the bottle, so one of our wedding party had to use his thumbs to take the cork out.
We made it to the event on time, and told the limo driver we wouldn’t need him until about 8:30 or 9:00 P.M., when it was time to take our kids home. He gave me his telephone number, and said to call him when we needed him.
We called him around 9:15 PM and packed up the kids and the babysitter, and he left to take them back to Manhattan, and that we last we saw of him or the limousine. We know he dropped the kids off around 10:30 PM, and then when we were wondering if he was coming back to Coney Island, we called him and he said the limousine was a few blocks away, that it had broken down, he was waiting for a tow truck and we should find another ride. This stranded our entire wedding party, including MY BRIDE ON HER WEDDING DAY, far from home, and without transportation. I was also looking forward to my son getting to see Manhattan from a limo at night on the way home.
We eventually found a car service to take us all home at the price of $ 100.00 (because there was so many of us, we had to get a van), but we had to wait a long time for it to come.
We were not contacted once by the company to explain anything, and our card was charged OVER what the initial quote was, constituting FRAUD so by all means use this company if you enjoy paying for nothing.
We were told to email our complaints to Joseph at LX-​Limo and they would be addressed, but he completely ignored them for a week, and then scoffed at them when contacted by phone.
