History
Established in 1904.
Though the museum was established in 1904, it was not open to the public until 1907. The relocated Anasazi ruins dating back to 1100 – 1300 a.d. were brought here from the famous four corners area where «Cliff Dwellings» are common. Once the ruins arrived, they were carefully assembled and mortared to allow visitors to explore and learn about the Ancient Anasazi culture. Due to the mortar and restoration, you actually go through the ruins, unlike other cliff dwelling sites. This privately owned attraction has seen five owners, the current owner is third generation.
