P&D Logging and Tree Service

We are lucky to get their numbers and happened to be in the neighborhood of P & D tree service company. They were able to remove 50 tall and huge trees in a couple days.
Very impressive !

The other day, the P&D crew came by to remove a 60-​foot Doug Fir tree that had outgrown its space. A well-​coordinated team, the first on the scene was the climber, who suited up and started up the tree armed with his 18″ Stihl, limbing his way up the tree. Shortly, the ground rat crew arrived with a bucket lift/​chipper combo truck, and a second chipper/​stump-​grinder rig. They worked together as a unified team, requiring little in the way of delays to communicate with the climber. They danced well together, with great hustle and precision, without a compromise to safety. When the most challenging portion of the climbing/​cutting work was done, the climber turned over the mop-​up cutting and cleaning over to the ground crew, put his climbing gear back in his gym bag, and headed off to the next job. The ground crew left a clean drop zone for us, and we were ready to get busy with the splitter. Now, if only we had let them do the splitting… Well done, folks.

We had a great experience with this company. We had 11 very large Fur trees removed. Seven of them had to be craned over our house. We also has all the stumps grinded.
They came in with a crane, two chipper trucks, a bucket truck and a crew. In about half a day and two logging truck loads we were clear. They cleaned up well after and included our neighbors driveways and cul-​de-​sac. The wife and I were very impressed and the price was reasonable. We have referred them on a couple occasions now.

Today, they took out a 140′ fir using a crane in under 1.5 hours and did a great job cleaning up. What sold me on this company was the videos on their website and that they own the crane trucks. Most other companies have to rent them. This means that the owner has a substantial investment in the business and that this is no part-​time operation. All of the crew were very pleasant and listened to my instructions. Not one bush was damaged. The crew was all business. Would I use them again? I would be a fool not to.

Highly recommend! We got quotes from several companies. P & D came in with best numbers but more importantly the BEST service. They took down three huge trees trees in just a couple of hours, ground out the stumps and even though we opted for no cleanup (we want to cut up), our yard looked great and logs were neatly lined up in one area.
The crew was professional and polite. Dan, the bidder, was spot on with quote and Chris, crew chief, was organized and fast!
Don’t bother calling around, just call P and D.

Anyone looking to do a major tree removal service in the Northwest, please do yourself a favor and just call P&D service. I had 15 poplar trees roughly 200 ft hight and a giant pine tree leaning over my house. I took many quotes and P&D came up with the most compelling offer — not necessarily the cheapest but the most compelling offer.
They came on time for the estimate, called me the day before to confirm the appointment and a professional crew of about 10 people showed up on the day of the job. Rest of the offers were going to take multiple days and P&D finished the entire job in a single day. Very happy that I don’t have to manage my kids away from the job site over multiple days.
All in all, if I ever have a tree job, P&D is getting it.

I had 7 trees removed & another 2 trimmed & pruned by this firm today.
I had gotten at least 4 other quotes and for the job specs, this company came in with the best deal.
Having just moved to the PNW 7 months ago from sunny SCA, tree maintenance is a whole new issue for me to deal with.
They came to give a quote when it was convenient & once I authorized the work, it was just a few days before they were working in the area and were able to fit my project in.
They did exactly the job agreed upon & cleaned up & hauled the trees & related debris away as if they had never been there and did it in what seemed like record of about 3 hours, start to finish!
I am very happy with the work completed; would use again and recommend. In fact, I have already given their info to a co-​worker needing some tree work done.

They are a great company to deal with. I got excellent firewood from them last year and they just came and hauled some junk wood I got from Olsen Trees and Fences last year. The wood from Olsen was rotten and NOT firewood. P&D just hauled it away for me at a very reasonable price. I’ll get wood from them again and if I ever need a tree service they would be the first company I called!

I’ve used them twice, in 2008 and 2015. I have also contacted other tree companies (sorry P and D). P and D does good work, is reliable, is competitively priced and a pleasure to work with. When they came for work, they were punctual. It seems like they are bigger in 2015 than in 2008 because the telephone staff now sounds like a big company and less personal but they are not rude or dumb.
I would highly recommend them for tree work and will contact them the next time I need tree work, which I think is coming soon.

I recently had a great experience with P & D removing four very large and precariously located honey locust trees in my yard. Everything from the original estimate to the actual removal was superb. I live on a very small street, with very small driveways, and the P & D crew was able to easily navigate the large trucks and the crane through the street and onto the driveways. I contacted three other companies besides P & D and all of them were significantly more expensive and stated that it would take multiple days to remove the trees and grind the stumps. P & D was not only the cheapest but was only at my house for around five hours. I highly recommend P & D to anyone looking for an affordable and quality tree removal service.

I used p and d tree services to remove around 10 trees in my yard. Their service was exceptional. Before choosing p and d tree services I got a quote from several others but found p and d to be extremely reasonable. On the day of the job the crew arrived on time, did a perfect job and cleanup. After the job the crew also did a thorough walk through. I highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a reliable team to take care of your trees

I had my pine tree removed and stomp ground earlier this summer. I had great experience starting from meeting them first time till the time I received an invoice after job was completed. My pine was removed while I was not at home. When I came home, it was so clean that you would not even know that tree was there unless you start investigate the spot in details. I am very happy and had already recommended them to my colleagues. Will use again if needed.

If you want a major run around, then by all means use P & D. I can’t attest to their ability to do the job well, because three different times they said they would be out and never showed up. They did not call back when they said they would, etc. They were always quick to tell me they were busy, they had payroll to do, etc. Really? Unbelievable. They could have told me from the beginning they did not value my «down only» — yes they use jargon I am supposed to understand — small job! So instead of waiting 4 weeks and a major run around, I could have already had the tree down. I have company coming and now am SOL on having a nice backyard all ready. I truly did not think that companies with this poor level of customer service still existed. AWFUL!

I called P&D to remove 25+ full size trees from my property. They came out that afternoon to look at the area and provide a quote. Their quote was extremely fair compared to the others we received. So we hired them, and they were out the next day to start the removal. All of the trees were gone in about 8 hours, I was amazed. These guys are very skilled and were able to avoid my house, deck, and power lines without an issue. After the trees were removed, we also hired P&D to remove the debris, excavate all of the stumps, and level the area to prepare for grass. Their excavator operator, Paul, was amazing! He completed the work exactly as we wanted, and was able to provide very helpful advice in an effort to save us money. I would definitely recommend this company!

Called this company two weeks ago to set up a wood delivery of madrona firewood. The gal I talked to said they would deliver it in two weeks on Tuesday, oct. 1^st. I said great, so I called off work today to wait for the wood.3 pm rolls around and no wood. So I call P&d to see about the eta. They tell me they wont be delivering my wood today due to heavy rainfall over the weekend. I get no advanced warning, no call, NOTHING. I speak to the owner and he basically tells me «tough» No apology, just excuses about how its not their fault. just a phone call is all I ask! Great company man, really professional! Thanks!

I highly recommend this company and will use them again! They cut down 8 of my trees and removed the stumps. They did this work quickly and at an affordable cost.

My wife called P & D after I had just turned away some «seasoned» wood from a firewood supplier found on Craigslist. The guy showed up three hours late with a pickup load of wood that he promised was seasoned then later acknowledged had been sitting out all winter, so of course it was waterlogged. He said, «this isn’t California, all firewood this time of year has been sitting out all winter.» Apparently referring to the fact I was wearing my Anaheim Angels baseball cap. That’s what the flakes do, they show up at your home and immediately start unloading the wood, so you feel like you’re forced to take the wood.
My suggestion: Quit dealing with the flakes that promise one thing and deliver another and buy your firewood from P & D. These guys are wood professionals. Your wood will show up as promised and ready to burn. We’ve purchased 2 cords of hardwood and 1 cord of fir. The hardwood had a mix of walnut, oak, maple and some other cool hardwoods that you never find advertised any where else.
Aaron did a great job backing up the trailer and putting the wood exactly where I needed it. The second the wood hit the driveway, you could tell by the high pitched noise that the wood was nice and dry.

Here’s the problem with these guys. They don’t do what they say they’re going to do. My neighbor hired them to trim tree branches which were on trees that were actually on my property. When they first came over (I had no notice just the sound of their chain saws) I explained it was not a good time right then (I run a business at my home and had a customer coming over right then) and they agreed to come back. At that time myself and the ‘lead” guy from P& D Tree Service specifically went from tree to tree and agreed what they would cut (I wanted to make my neighbor happy but also didn’t want them to excessively cut back my trees). That part was fine. But when they came back but by the time I got out there to see what was up they had taken considerably more branches than we specifically agreed. It was the same crew, same lead (could have been the owner for all I know). I went up to him and said ‘are you done” he said nodded. I said «you took more branches than we agreed and you and I specifically discussed what you would take» he looked straight at me, and sheepishly walked away. Prior to writing this review, I contacted the company to gave them a chance to respond and waited a week to post this and they never even had the courtesy to get back to me with even «hey sorry’ or anything. So make your own decision I’m just telling you the honest truth of what happened I live on the Sammamish Plateau. Why hire people who don’t care about customer service and don’t keep their word? If you do, you better be prepared to stand there to keep them honest.

We had P ‘n’ D Tree Service remove our large, over-​grown pine tree. They arrived on time (actually they arrived a bit early) and had the entire job finished in less than 30 minutes, including cutting down the tree, grinding two stumps (including one from another tree we had removed ourselves), and removing all of the debris. It was amazing to watch these guys work as a team, and we were impressed with how thoroughly they cleaned up. While you might find someone who is a little less expensive, the price they charged seemed very fair for the work they did. We highly recommend them.

I have been using P and D Tree Service for the last 12 years. They are great with their estimates and offer helpful suggestions. Such as, which items need to be done and which can wait until next year. Many of my trees are maintenance issues and there have been «storm» related removals.
They always do a efficient job and the men are friendly and polite. They clean up and chip the branches and haul it all away. I kinda look forward to seeing them each year and catching up on news and marvel at how «Junior» really isn’t anymore. He is all grown up. I still can’t watch them when they are up in the trees! My neighbor now uses them as well. Very easy to work with.
