Business Owner

Larrie is the owner of Midtown Massage & Bodywork and a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in thai bodywork, therapeutic, deep tissue and sports massage. Larrie became a massage therapist after holding a high-​stress government job for 11 years. She found that stress was affecting her health, both physically and mentally and realized that she needed to make a change. Her passion for helping people and taking care of her own body led her in the right direction. Most recently she traveled to Thailand to train with Master Pichest Boonthumme, one of the most well-​known masters of Thai massage.

Wow, what a wonderful massage! I did the 60 minutes with Nikia and I feel completely relaxed. She’s super sweet and made me feel very comfortable during the massage. She really focused on my trouble areas and I am very pleased. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has had a bad experiences in the past. I was once badly bruised from a lady that didn’t understand what go softer meant. She’s a good listener and asked me if the pressure was ok throughout the massage. The atmosphere was also prefect with soft instrumental music and dim lighting.

I just visited this spa with my cousin and have never had a professional massage before. I felt like I was in a different world.
Tom was absolutely amazing and understanding of my nervousness. He made me feel 100% comfortable.

Beautiful place, very serene. The therapists were kind enough to rearrange their schedules so my husband and I could have massages at the same time for our anniversary. We both had very knowledgeable therapists and left floating on bliss. We will definitely be back. Best massage place in Memphis. I did the research.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my massage from Midtown Massage & Bodywork, LLC in Cooper Young! Karina Mueller did a fantastic job of kneading out all my stress and tension. Thank you so much for letting me experience your wonderful services. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! It’s located in a cute cottage styled house and has a relaxing oasis feel to it once you step onto their patio. The music playing in the background definitely gets you in a relaxing mood. I highly recommend that we all take the time and money to invest into ourselves and our health and sanity at least once a year. I can’t wait to go back!

I pulled my back muscle in a workout class and was in desperate need of a massage. I love how easy it was to schedule! All I had to do was go online and within two minutes… boom! I had an appointment.
First, can we talk about how much character this place has? Absolutely adorable. The chandeliers and paint colors really set the mood for total calmness. I love how there’s only three rooms as well. I’m pretty sure we had the whole place to ourselves, and if we didn’t, I had no idea anyone else was in there!
Larrie recommended Karina, and I’m so glad she did. It was amazing. Actually incredible. This was my first time getting a massage so I know she had a whole lotta kinks to workout. I’m leaving feeling completely rejuvenated and stress free. They have a few different massage styles to choose from, but I went with the therapeutic.
I highly recommend this place. The staff is so kind and friendly. You can really tell they love what they do!

Yes, I am a guy who occasionally gets a massage.
I am also a guy who has from time to time felt ‘walked on’ by other people — which is usually not a great experience. NOW, however, I can say I have really been walked on, and it was a FANTASTIC experience.
After a few friends from Unilocal convinced me that I needed to go to Midtown Massage, I was intrigued by the Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. I have seen in movies this whole process of barefoot massage, so I had to try it for myself. It was just extrodinary.
Karina was my therapist and she excellent. Very careful from a pressure stand point, and completely relaxed me through the entire process.
This was an event I was looking forward to since first learning about Midtown Massage and I was not disappointed. I will be back!

I received a chair massage from Lizzie and I felt like checking her hands after the massage. Her hands and elbows moved with such fluidity, grace and precision I was sure there was some kind of machine. The masseuses are more than competent, the interior is both homey and professional and everyone makes you feel at home. I highly recommend midtown massage.

Just went for an event last night and I was highly impressed by the facility and especially the staff.
Warm colors and a homey, comfortable feel were wonderfully inviting to this studio. Private massage rooms are tucked away so you feel you’re the only one there. I had a chair massage from Lizzie who was great and naturally went to my shoulder’s trouble spots. She was excellent — I’d totally get another massage from her.

I love Karina at Midtown Massage & Bodywork!!! I’m a mother with two young kids, a doctoral student, work full time, and am highly active. I have been getting 60 minute massages from Karina for about 6 months now every about 5 weeks.
I’ve had a variety of massage experiences over the years and feel as if Karina is the most professional and personable of them all! She is very talented! The cost is equal if not less than the value that you receive. I appreciate her knowledge and insight as well concerning care for my body. I will keep coming back to Karina as long as I can afford it!
