Horrible experience. I arranged for this company to pick me up in the morning and take me to my office in Foster City, then pick me up in the evening to take me back to my hotel. The first day they were 17 minutes late to pick me up and the driver charged me extra when he realized I was on a work trip — he literally said «Oh, your work is paying?» Also, he smelled like body odor. Really bad. That evening he didn’t even bother to pick me up at work, and didn’t answer when I called him. Do yourself a favor, call Sam’s Yellow Cab instead.

Ridiculous!
We called for a car to come at 10am the day before. No problem, they claimed. I’ve never had a car company fail to be *early*… So at 10:02, I called them, and they said «he’s just a few minutes away». Which was obviously a lie, as the dispatcher didn’t pause to check. I called back a few minutes later, and he said he’d have the driver call me. He calls me back, and the driver says he’s stuck in traffic on 101! He’s still at least 15 minutes away…
So we tell them to forget it, I load our stuff in the car, and we drive to the airport. Via 101 — which BTW had *no* traffic!!!
To summarize:
— The driver is clearly going to be at least 15 minutes late, but no one even calls.
— When I did call, the dispatcher lies and says he’s almost there.
— When I speak to the driver, he lies and says he’s stuck in traffic.
— When I tell the dispatcher to cancel, he just hangs up on me! He’s not even apologetic.
I can’t imagine any cab company failing in more different ways than this one. AVOID!!!

My daughter ordered a cab the day before. No problem. The cab was 45 minutes late then stopped for gas. She missed her flight, spent 12 hours waiting at the airport for a standby flight. UR Cab response? Repeated apologies and offer to refund half the fare. Better than nothing I guess, but never saw the refund even after multiple calls on my part and repeated apologies on theirs. I’ll never use them again.

This service is completely unprofessional and unable to follow the simplest of instructions to pick up a very important business partner from the SFO international terminal and the driver had no signage as instructed and instead waiting outside in the cab/​limo lane rather than going inside with a sign and lost our visitor.
Customer service did not try to troubleshoot but made excuses and was totally ghetto!!!
If I could give them 0 stars I would! DO NOT USE!!!

Can was on time. Cab driver was very courteous and drove safely. All good except the cab ride was $ 40 from hillsborough/​Burlingame. It was almost double what I had paid previously with allied/​yellow cab. Not sure of the customer service was worth it for a 10min can ride to the airport!

I’m glad others had a good experience with these guys. Ours was really just «ok.» The basic needs were met. Online booking — great. Calling me five minutes before the appointment saying they were outside waiting — fabulous. Not actually being outside — not so hot. The driver for whatever reason couldn’t find our place. There are five buildings inside our condo complex with massive address numbers and signs. If you can’t find the building. .. I’m really not sure how to help you. I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone not be able to find the building. So I am not sure if this was a farce and the guy was just late or if he was actually driving around looking for the right building. I wouldn’t know because as usual, you always talk to the dispatcher not the actual driver.
So when he did arrive (about 5 minutes late) he rolled up in a Dodge Neon. When did economy cars become acceptable cabs? The driver apologized for being late and ultimately got us to the airport in plenty of time. He didn’t overcharge us.
There are things I will never understand about cabbies, like why half of them don’t have GPS devices. This is 2012, pull it together.
But, ‘nough said. I have had FAR worse experiences with cab drivers. Like not EVER showing up or promising they are 5 minutes away when they are in fact 25 minutes away. Or those guys that take the long route to avoid «traffic», so they can overcharge you.
*Below the Owner represents that the «fleet» has no Dodge Neons. This is alarming since I booked online (through the Unilocal link) and that was the vehicle that eventually showed up. I spoke with a dispatcher several times regarding the cab. I’ll leave you to opine about that.*

I schedule my ride from San Mateo to SFO within a few hours of needing to leave. As others mentioned, the cab driver, Roy, arrived early, made sure that I had my seat belt on and calmly got me to the airport on time. (I’ve had ENOUGH of the crazy Yellow cab drivers!) He scheduled my pick up for when I returned at 8pm on a Friday night and was there even though my plane arrived 20 minutes late and he had been working since 4am. Great service. I will for sure call them for my next trip.

My new spouse and I needed to get to the airport and back from San Mateo with lots of luggage for our 3 week honeymoon in Spain. After finding several cab companies that only advertised pickups in SF and cities north of the airport, we finally found this company just over in Foster City with several good reviews. I admit, it was partly the name that inclined me to choose them (being a fan of LOLcats). We made reservations for both trips and gave them times and flight numbers. They were on time and courteous (though not overtly friendly) for the pickup, loaded all our luggage, and got us to the airport in plenty of time.
On the flight back we actually landed early and called them to check on where to meet our driver. Even though we were nearly half an hour early he was already on his way and got to the airport before our luggage was out. He waited for us in the cell phone lot and we made arrangements for what section of the curb we would be at. There was some minor confusion with the airport cab coordinator trying to waive us into line but when we shouted «we reserved this one!» he backed off and let us load. This driver was actually friendly and chatty (but not too much, which was good since at 24h awake I wasn’t up for making a whole lot of conversation) and got us home in good time. The cost of the trip was similar to what a group shuttle would have cost and without the having to wait for other folks to be picked up and dropped off. I would definitely call Ur Cab again.

I had to make some last minute changes and was extremely worried about making my flight on time. I called Ur Cab and although the dispatcher was a bit awkward, the driver was very courteous and mindful of my timely situation. He arrived a few minutes early and had me at my flight on time. Driver 007, Anthony, is definitely somebody I refer from this company. He was early and I really appreciated how helpful and understanding he was in getting me there on time instead of acting as if my last minute changes were my problem alone.

Usually, I carpool to work with my mother; but decided to come a little later this past Tuesday. After looking here on Unilocal,I was glad to find Ur Cab and a company right here in Foster City for that matter. They even arrived a few minutes early and the driver was very courteous and professional. This is definitely one of the cleanest cabs I had ridden in; it might have been a Prias judging how quiet it was or maybe a Town Car; in any case, after verbally imputing information into the GPS, I was at Mills-​Peninsula in Burlingame in no time. For $ 33.00, I could not beat it. So, for clean cabs, a smooth ride, and friendly professional on time service, Ur Cab cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

Simply, horrible.
After reading the reviews here, I made an in-​advance online appointment for pickup to SFO. In addition to usual address, date & time, I sent them a link to a Google Map of my location, including a satellite view of my parking lot. Also, re-​confirmed via phone the day before.
Pick-​up time arrives, no cab.
5 minutes pass, no cab, no call.
I call them — get a «he’s 2 minutes away».
5 minutes more, no cab, no call.
Call them again, ask «WTF?» — answer? «He’ll be there in a couple of minutes. I’ll have the driver call you directly».
Of coures, no call, and no cab.
A passing neighbor strongly suggests Luxor Cab. I call them, tell them I’ve been hosed by another cab company, and am now in a bind for an international flight. They offer to redirect a cab in route elsewhere to help out; expect arrival in ‘7 minutes’.
After 25 minutes. STILL nothing from «U R Cab».
Luxor calls me back says they are 2 minutes away … and ‘not to worry’.
Of course, NOW the «UR Cab» cab show up. Given ‘bird in the hand’, we take the cab.
En route, I called Luxor, explained the situation, apologized profusely for jerking them around — and their willingness to help. They were polite, understanding, and professional. I promised them my business from now on – which they’ve now had several times. Perfect every time!
Back to U R Cab. I asked the driver, «What, no GPS?». Answer? «Sorry, it’s my first day in your city.» (Really? and you’re a CAB DRIVER?!?) and «The GPS was telling me another location». (Ummmm … speechless.)
To top it all off, on the way to the airport, the driver nearly missies the on-​ramp to the hwy 101, almost sideswipes another car veering onto it, then repeats the joy-​of-​it-​all on the hwy again.
We made it to the airport. Rather late, but alive.

I travel 80% of the time and I have used taxi services from different companies. Ur Cab taxi is my favorite because 1. they are on time 2. their cars are clean. 3. the cab drivers are professional and polite. If you are not happy with your taxi company, definitely give them a try.

This is the only cab service that I have found in San Francisco that is consistently on time. Cabs are clean, drivers are very polite and the service is excellent. You can also book online, which makes reservations very easy.
