Friendly Auto Centers

On the recommendation of my father I took my 2011 Equinox to Friendly Auto Center after it overheated. After they diagnosed the problem they informed me that they found a dealer service recall (my warranty expired) for the part that was broken. For a small diagnostic fee and towing I got the problem fixed FREE.
20 minutes after picking my car up from the dealership the check engine light went back on. The dealer diagnosed the problem and told me it was not at all related to the previous fix so the total would be around $ 700. I declined their service to take it back to Friendly’s. I got a call soon after from Steve the owner and he informed me that in order to complete the previous work the «newly broken» part needed to be removed and that this was a problem caused by the dealer. He recommended that I call and speak to a service manager and gave me terms to use to sound knowledgeable. I called the dealership and within 10 minutes the service manager agreed to not only fix my car for FREE but he agreed to pay have it towed from Friendly’s to to the dealership. Steve was nothing but thrilled to hear that they agreed to fix their mistake.
I would have never known about the service recall or the process that broke the second part. Due to Friendly Auto Center’s selflessness I got 2 parts fixed by the dealership for FREE when I very easily could have paid over $ 1,000 in repairs. Amazing experience with them and I won’t go anywhere else.

Five year full warranty on batteries and lifetime on other parts! Friendly staff too! :)

Fast and Friendly.
I came in on Sat. morning to get my Trucks oil changed. I was quoted about an 1 hour wait. Well 30 minutes in my Truck was done, and not only did they change the oil but they rotated the tires, all this at a GREAT PRICE.

I guess I’m an exception in my experience. I brought my Toyota Avalon in for an alignment appointment, but asked them when I got there if 1) they could make sure it even needed an alignment and 2) if they could also check my a/​c because it didn’t seem to be blowing out much air on my way there. A woman at the front desk took the info and nothing was said about there being a charge for either of those. After waiting for awhile, the owner told me that the a/​c had a faulty blower motor and it would cost $ 675 to get it fixed. I knew that wasn’t in my budget so I declined the service. In the meantime, I asked if they had done the alignment check yet and he told me that I would have to wait because someone was already using the machine (?) (even though I had a scheduled appointment) and that it would cost me 69.99 for that. I told the owner that I had purchased a groupon for the actual alignment which was only $ 49 so it wouldn’t make sense to pay $ 20 more just for them to check it. Since I had to wait until the machine (?) was freed up, I told him that I would have to come back another time because I had another appointment later that morning that I couldn’t miss. When I went to leave, the owner told me that I had a charge of 69.99 for «checking» the a/​c even though they didn’t do any work on it. Again, nothing was ever said about there being a charge for that until it was time to leave!!! Interestingly enough, the a/​c has worked just fine ever since that day and I haven’t done a thing to it, so obviously a faulty blower motor was never the problem. Even though I was not very happy about paying $ 69.99 without getting anything fixed, I was thrilled beyond belief that I didn’t give them $ 675 for something that wasn’t even broken!!!

After my Dad died, I drove his truck back home from Missouri because I desperately wanted to keep it. I didn’t need it, I don’t drive it much, it’s an extra car payment and insurance premium, and I won’t even talk about what a gas guzzler it is but it’s his, so I need it. Getting this ol truck registered in AZ has been quite a journey. It’s taken 4 trips to the DMV, two trips to get emissions tested, a LOT of money, documents over nighted, a dedicated, helpful mechanic and many, many tears. Finally this morning I was able to get it registered. I can not thank Mike and the guys at Friendly Auto Centers enough for all of their help with this because without them, this wouldn’t have happened. My husband and I had to go back over to the shop collectively 6 – 7 times but we finally got it through emissions without costing even more money. After leaving the DMV this morning I went directly to the shop to take them donuts as a thank you. Just a small gesture but what they did for me was huge. I will be back for sure. These guys are trustworthy and really care about their clients. Thank you!

The best auto center I saw in my all life… and I travel a lot… (Canada, Florida, Arizona and all the places in between…)
Mike, at the counter, is so pro, funny and his welcome is super… All the workers always do their best to help you at a very low price…
When ever I shall be in Arizona… My F250 will only be repaired by them…

I met Rabecca at a network event I sponsor. We chatted and I liked her style. Made appointment for one of my service trucks. When I showed up I met the owner. Great guy no job send type of guy. Well they fixed my truck up and it drives awesome.
I was actually surprised at how simple the repair was. The owner said yup there is only one adjustment for hat truck. Before I picked it up I was called by Rabecca and she let the tech speak directly with me to explain what he was seeing. Unfiltered data was perfect. Nothing was lost in he translation.
I have lots of service trucks but this is now my new repair place. Oh, my other guy is less than a par 5 away from my house.
On another note I over head a conversation with another customer. The price difference was a mere $ 10.00 but the owner said if that what someone told you then we will do it for that price. No argument, just ok non problem. That’s service

OMG… I HAVE to brag about Friendly Auto Center! I was having a problem with my transmission and was afraid to take my vehicke in for a repair. For one thing, I’m female, so the fear of being ripped off is high since i know nothing about car repair; and secondly, my vehicle is older than 5 years, past its warranty period, so I dreaded a big repair bill. I called on my way into work in the morning and Steve told me to bring it in right then! Since I can’t live without a car, FAC hooked me up with an awesome rental for about 30% off the normal rate, and then called me a few hours later to inform me what the problem was AND that they had already called the dealership and found out it was covered by an extended warranty I didn’t even realize I had! Badda bing Badda boom! They even gave me the dealership ’ s phone number and a contact name! No charge. .even though FAC added transmission fluid to get me to the dealer. The icing on the cake? The next day, when the repair was finished, I was even able to return my rental right there at the dealership when I went to pick up my car! Now THAT’S friendly AND trustworthy auto service… thanks Steve and Mike!

I just had my car repaired at Friendly Automotive. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing operation. I originally went in for an oil change but they found that my Air Tube had disintegrated, that’s AZ for you. They ordered the part for me and we arranged for me to come back today. It took minutes to replace the part and I was on my way.
Their prices beat the competition and the service is the best I’ve ever experienced. Best of all, for me anyhow, they have a ‘Girl Mechanic’, Rebecca is amazing! Unlike other repair shops I’ve dealt with, where I’ve been treated poorly because I am a woman, Friendly Auto Center treated me just same, fairly and honestly as the male customers. Steve Rozansky, the owner is patient in explaining what needs to be done and explains things in an understanding way, even for a layman. I can’t imagine giving my business to another now that I’ve found this fantastic auto repair shop.

I will drive my vehicle 354 miles from my home in California (assuming it can make the drive) to have it worked on by Friendly Auto. Every time.

Got me in and out in a short period of time, the wait was enjoyable, they gave me a lifetime warranty on the brakes, and they even kept the shop open later than they had to to ensure that my vehicle was taken care of completely and that I understood all that was stated on the invoice.
As if that’s not enough, they gave me a considerable discount on the service because I’m a full time university student and said that they always do.
These guys get an A+

Steve and Mike are the Bestest. The biggest issue with most service department and auto shops is lack of communication. Steve was always letting me know the progress of the work being done… Great Service. Highly Recommend. I traveled from Arcadia/​Biltmore because I trust their work and know I will get more value then the cost.

I highly recommend Friendly Auto Centers! We’ve been in several times and always have a great experience. I took my car there to get tires and alignment. I am a retired auto tech and hard to please when it comes to automotive service but the guys there treat you great, do awesome work and are very competitive on prices. They more than pass the test!

Our family has been using Friendly’s for the past year. I should have written this review prior because they are the most honest and professional repair shop I’ve ever used. They are without a doubt a great place to get your vehicle serviced or repaired and I can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve been here twice now and both occasions have been satisfactory. I found them via purchase of thier Groupon promotion and I’d definitely return. They are inexpensive, render quality oil changes and keep the wait to a minimum. They should be considered a go to for routine oil change services — especially at less than $ 20 /​service.

My car was rattling when I hit certain speed and I was quite concerned. I might have hit a bump so I thought it was alignment so I have ordered an alignment which was offered via Groupon for $ 49 dollars. He checked it thoroughly and even worked on my check engine light. I was informed that it was bad tires which I probably need. At $ 75 per tire, I was gladly replaced all four and it was done with nice results. Now I can drive with peace of mind that I would need with these new set of wheels. I like the honesty from the owner and will highly recommend his shop to anyone. Not like a typical auto repair place who tries to up sale unnecessary repairs that you probably don’t need. It is rare in today’s shady auto repair business.

I have never had any service on my car done as fast as they replaced my two tires. I give 5 stars on everything from customer service, to cleanliness of the shop, to pricing.
I called and asked about 2 new tires and they didn’t have the specific type at the shop but had them delivered in less than hour and installed ever faster than that. Save time and heart ache and give them a try.

6 Stars! Great people (Steve & Mike) & more importantly, Awesome, Honest & Affordable Service! They took care of some Auto Warranty work that the dealership was overcharging for. Plus, they took care of some routine maintenance at a reasonable cost. They are definitely worth a visit if you need an honest auto repair shop. Don’t worry, the guys have a New York vibe about them… they talk fast, but work hard at doing it right & try to save you money! Thank you Steve, Mike and the rest of the staff!
