Today along with my brother Stephen we run John’s Refrigeration with the same integrity, reliability, and honesty our father instilled in us. Had an issue with my heat pump called Chris at Johns and he came out right away. Told me I needed a new defrost control board to the tune $ 500! Recommend I replace whole unit. I ended up finding said part online for $ 30 took me 5 minutes to replace. I giving 2 stars just beacuase he did tell me what was wrong but tried to charge me way to much!

My landlords chose John’s to maintain the AC in my house. It was a great choice! The times I have needed them to come and fix the system, plus the annual maintenance, everyone has been polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Taylor, the tech who came out multiple times for the most recent fix, explained everything that was going on and did a fantastic job. The main office kept me informed of when the crew would arrive and each time the techs got here early in the scheduled window. I only have positive things to say about this company.

When I called John’s for a/​c repair the woman on the phone was so nice, and she was able to help get a technician out to my home the same day. The technician who came out, Tyler, was helpful, knowledgeable, and was able to fix the problem on the spot. He was able to tell me information about my unit that I did not know, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He was even nice to my dogs and son! Having Tyler and John’s Refrigeration fix my a/​c was a five-​star experience. Thanks John’s!

Our old a/​c repairman retired and John’s Refrigeration acquired his business. We had a technician come out to do a summer check up on our a/​c and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He found a couple things that need to be fixed so we will definitely be having John’s come back out to do the repair. It’s hard to find someone you can trust, but after reading reviews I see this is a good company and I would recommend them to friends.

Love working with John’s Refrigeration for my A/​C needs. They came out to do regular summer maintenance and recommended I get an efficiency evaluation done. Mike came out to inspect and made his recommendations. After getting my ducts all sealed and new registers, I am happy to say I am very pleased! He came back out to balance the air flow, and my house is now comfortable no matter what room I’m in. All of the service men that have been to my house to work on the A/​C have been very polite, answered all of my questions, and made me feel very comfortable. Being a woman homeowner, I am always reluctant on what somebody is going to try to sell me. I would highly recommend John’s Refrigeration to all.

Stand corrected on this company. Was not happy after a preventive check. But last night main unit went out and I called several companies the next morning with no luck and then tried John’s. In my multiple dealings with Johns refrigeration i have found them to not only be a company of integrity and good old fashioned service, but they acutally know how AC systems should be designed properly. So many companies these days just do a quick patch but these guys know how to provide long term solutions to save me money! Great Guys to know!

I was having problems with my AC and called John’s refrigeration last Friday.
They came out Saturday (no extra charge for weekend). The service tech was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. They even called me Monday to make sure that everything was good. Prompt, great service and great customer service. I’m very happy to be one cool customer (pun intended). I would definitely recommend them.

We have an older air conditioning system and wanted it checked out before summer. Allison, Tamara, Tyler, and Andrew have all been extremely helpful in assisting us in making the decision to keep our old system or buy a new one. They called when they said they would and arrived on time. Tyler respected our home and wore booties and was very thorough in his inspection. They are honest and knowledgeable, and we highly recommend John’s Refrigeration.

I have used John’s Refrigeration for both personal services and as a recommendation for clients. I have always been impressed by their level of service and care for the home. I was at a vacant house on behalf of a client the first time I used them. The AC unit was in the back yard so and there was no access through the side gate, so the technician had to pass through the house several times for equipment or parts from his service van. Each time he would get to the door, put on the shoe covers, walk through the house, and then take the shoe covers off again. Only to put them on again when he returned. He was a younger person than I, but was respectful and professional. He diagnosed the problem the first time and the repair lasted. They have always been on time for appointments, professional and accurate with both their diagnosis and estimates. Highly recommend this company for heating and ac work.

As a single woman, it’s often hard to be comfortable with a service technician coming into your home. I was completely comfortable from start to finish with John’s Refrigeration. The technician really cared to educate me about my system, and didn’t use language that made me feel uneducated (even though I don’t know much about my a/​c and heating units). He explained a couple upgrades that could be made, but was not pressuring about having them done at that time. He even told me positive things about my system and its set up. Within two hours of the appointment the main office contacted me to make sure the service was satisfactory, and they even set up a call-​back for my next evaluation. I purchased a $ 199.95 performance plan, which includes two major inspections (they even go into your attic) per year, coil cleaning, and then some. Definitely worth the money. And I don’t fear them coming back again in May/​June to take a look at the A/​C unit. Comfortable and courteous. I’ll return as a customer.

I have no complaints with John’s! Yesterday morning I received a call from our tenant in Scottsdale. No A/​C. Blowing hot air. Hotter inside than out. I say, «Presto, I have a contract with an A/​C company. I’ll call right away.» I call. He comes at 7:00 that night. I appreciate that part. However, the unit’s two parts need to be ordered and picked up. He’s scheduling me for Tuesday or Wednesday. Gads, it’s Saturday night and that’s the best you can do? I get on Unilocal. I read a lot and do the due diligence. I find John’s Refrigeration. I call. I talk to a son of the founder. I tell him my problem. He asks a few questions, I give him a few answers, we schedule a Sunday 8 a.m. appointment, he gets there at 8, and has the motor on his truck. «No need for a fan… it’s operating just fine. I can have this thing working in an hour.» SOLD. It’s more expensive than my A/​C guy’s estimate, but at least I don’t have fried people in my house. When my existing contract runs out with my other refrigeration guy, I’m calling John’s.

There’s nothing an Arizona homeowner dreads more than dealing with an air conditioning company. John’s takes the fear out of air conditioning work, and I highly recommend them.
My heat pump stopped working on a Saturday afternoon (in the winter), and they were the only company whose phone went to a live person, not an answering machine. They arrived within about two hours, and diagnosed the problem within about 15 minutes.
Even though they seem to carry a variety of parts on their trucks, the one I needed had to be ordered. The technician managed to place the order with a local supply company (even though it had just closed) and arranged a pickup for very early Monday morning. When I arrived home on Monday, the work was done and my heater was back to normal.
I was so pleased with the service that I bought a twice-​yearly maintenance contract with this company, which includes discounts on repair parts and labor. They called me for my spring inspection (I certainly would have never remembered to call them), and when they found something that was starting to wear but didn’t need replacement, they didn’t push me hard to make the repair at this time. Overall, I’m very happy with their service.
They are open 24×7 (actually, they advertise 25×8, but that’s a little hokey).
