A Heart for You was formed in 2010 by Shari Mercer, Founder and President of the company. Shari realized in 2005 her calling was to help seniors. A Heart For You is exactly what Shari brings to this business and to her clients. Her business approach is respect and honesty and she hires only the best employees to continue to be one of the best home care organizations in Richmond and surrounding counties. Shari is hands on daily and in full control of day-​to-​day business operations. She is available by phone at all times to help her clients and monitor coordination of their care.

After working in the corporate environment for twenty years, I made a major change and became a caregiver due to having a strong passion for elderly people. I found while serving the needs of others, my life became enjoyable and fulfilling.

I worked as a caregiver for many years, while also performing as an Activities Assistant and Director of Activities, in various facilities. Because I am driven to offer quality personal care, I found an incredible demand for my services. Due to such success, I began my Personal Care company A Heart for You.

The caregivers I send into my clients homes, have big hearts and love to build relationships with seniors. They are also excellent at helping with various tasks and errands that our clients can no longer perform on their own.
