We help you to adapt your home to your changing needs. We provide assessments and plans for successful Aging in Place and accessible home modifications. Our services are customized to you and your current and future needs and focused on fulfilling your desire to remain living independently, safely and comfortably in your own home. You will gain, through using our services, ideas and strategies on home modifications, assistive technology and universal design which will make performing tasks easier, remove barriers to mobility, reduce accidents and support independence. We also provide project liaison services with your contractor.
History
Established in 2014.
In my career in senior living as a licensed administrator and executive director, I got to know so many residents who had experienced a sudden critical event that resulted in disability and functional limitations and resulted in their inability to ever return home. Forward thinking and planning can prevent that.
That is why I started Adaptive Home Environments. I want to help people Age in Place and create a home that is safe, stylish and meets their needs.

Marion S.
Business Owner
Marion is the founder and President of Adaptive Home Environments, LLC. Marion is certified by the National Association of Home Builders as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). She also holds an Executive Certification in Home Modifications from the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and the National Resource Center on Supportive Housing and Home Modification. She has studied residential Universal Design at the University of Buffalo School of Architecture, Inclusive Design and Environmental Access Center.
With 30 years’ experience as a Medical Social Worker in acute care and long term care settings and as a licensed administrator in Assisted Living, Marion has in-depth knowledge of the aging process, physical, sensory and cognitive impairments, disabilities and chronic diseases.
