Highly recommend The Split End Salon!
I am a very pick person when it come to my hair. I was able to make a same day appointment, was politely greeted when I came in, and offered refreshments. I did not wait long for my appointment.
I loved they new hair cut. I also got a few styling tips that I use everyday. I will continue to get my hair cut at this salon.

It’s always nice to have things you can depend on, and The Split End Salon is one of mine. I am always greeted with a smile by the receptionists. Terri does a great job with cutting my hair, and coloring it. She listens to me, and makes suggestions if she knows something would look better than what I might be considering. Location is great, with restaurants and shopping all in walking distance.

My stylist was knowledgable and worked very fast. She showed me how to style my new cut with a curling iron, which was nice of her to do. We talked about coloring my hair, but she made it clear that since I had colored my hair at home, the color would come out blotchy. I appreciate her warning, but she sure did make me feel bad about my hair. The cut came out fine, but she really just trimmed it, so it wasn’t complicated.
The salon itself is clean and organized. I would go again, but I wouldn’t necessarily be loyal to that stylist.

I was new to WA state and was referred to a few stylists at this salon. The first one was great, Ava, and then left the salon. The next stylist, Hailey, was recommended and to make a long story short, I was rescheduled 2 times and then cancelled on with no reason given nor were they willing to help give me a referral to anyone else. Their lack of concern was terrible and and so disappointing. Very unprofessional!

They cancelled my appointment two hours before my appointment was scheduled. On Christmas Eve. What kind of salon does that and doesn’t offer another stylist? Not only are they losing my future business, also my mom and daughter’s. Bad service has consequences.

I have been seeing Hailey and she’s great! I’m super picky about my highlights; often have pictures or crazy explanations of what I want and she always seems to not only «get» what I want, but deliver it. She’ll also be super honest about what is realistic and how she thinks it’s going to look.
I just had her add some lowlights and they’re exactly what I had in mind! Not to mention, she has me in and out of the salon more quickly than anywhere I’ve been in the past.
The shampoo chairs are a little uncomfortable, but nothing a towel behind the head can’t fix.
Oh, and I will say that all of the Unilocal attention has her schedule filling up quickly, so book in advance!

This is the worst haircut I’ve ever seen.
I brought my 11 yer old son, and all he wanted is number 2 on the back and number 4 on top. And that’s all she did. She set up machine on 4 and than on 2 and she said DONE! The hair line on the neck was curved, his hair was somewhere longer, somewhere shorter. He has couple of wholes on his head!!! It is terrible. Child would do a better job.
The worst part is, when I complained, they said that they can’t do anything. They don’t have anyone available till tomorrow!!! They don’t even care.
DO NOT GO TO THAT SALON. WORST HAIRCUT AND SERVICE EVER!

I have been a customer here on and off for nearly ten years (off only when I lived elsewhere). This is by FAR the best place to get great service for an affordable price. I love that you get a cut included in the price of a foil! I have seen Erin a ton! She gave me the best haircut in my entire life. The cutest trendy bob ever! She has done my highlights as well and always makes them look so pretty and natural. Erin is also pretty much the sweetest person you’ll ever talk to. She’s amazing! Once, when I booked short notice and Erin wasn’t available, I asked for any other stylist that was trendy and was good with highlights. I was hooked up with Hailey. MAN! I lucked out there! She did a GREAT job with my highlights. She listens to exactly what you want and delivers. I left feeling like a Victoria’s Secret model (from the head up at least!) Now I ask for either Erin or Hailey. They are both amazing. I have nothing negative to say about this salon!

I had a great experience! I left one star out, because this really isn’t a luxurious or trendy salon. It’s very basic. However, my stylist was incredible.
So, if you are looking for a place with dim lighting, buddha statues, a DJ playing house music, and an espresso bar, then go to a different salon.
However, if you are looking for a five-​star stylist without having to pay the markup for all that other crap, then go see Hailey.

I visited the Salon for the first time last weekend and met with Nicole for a cut. She consulted with me first and I explained how I had spent a couple years receiving bad haircuts and color applications and was losing hope for my hair which I’ve been trying to grow out for the last two years. With that, Nicole was very thorough with me and knowledgable in teaching me about how color works and what we would need to do to «fix» my hair. I provided her a picture of what I wanted for a cut and and went above and beyond what was pictured. She got rid of my dead ends and made my hair soft and pretty again. I’m excited to see her next weekend to correct my color and get me back to my natural color.

My experience with split end. First off. I’m happy to say I was VERY satisfied. (AVA) was great and attentive. Not many colorist out there knows how to color Asian hair. Specially one that wants to go from pitch black hair to full blonde. I have been denied at gene juarez many times by their senior artist. They always gave me the same answers «there is no way I can take you blonde. You will be orange». Well Ava definitely proved it to be false. She got me blonde not orange! I love her work. Very sweet and gentle. Listens and knows what’s best for my hair. Will see her again soon. If you want hair done right ask for Ava.

So I had been looking around for a new stylist, I read the reviews on here and everyone was saying how great Hailey was so I made an appointment and she did such an amazing job! My hair was platinum blonde with golden/​yellow roots and some orangy colors underneath and she completely transformed my hair. She gave me a more natural blonde that’s not so high maintenence and doesn’t look so fake. She puts a lot of hard work into what she does and takes her time, I had no worries. I put pictures above and you can see the major difference. I will definitely be going back.

We recently moved to the area, and I was in desperate need of a good stylist. After reading the reviews for Split End Salon, I decided to give them a shot. Both my daughter and I had appointments scheduled over two days with Andrea… I cannot tell you how happy we both are with the results!!! I went in without a style in mind, and asked Andrea to be creative… we agreed on taking me from hair down the middle of my back to a short undercut… this is my favorite before and after transformation to date. She really understands how to shape a style to compliment the individual. i HIGHLY recommend her, and have (luckily) found my go-​to stylist on my very first try. :)

I walked into this place since my usual barber was out of town. A girl named Emily cut my hair. She did an excellent job and was really sweet. The atmosphere was nice and I didn’t feel uncomfortable even though it was my first time here and I was a walk in.
Highly recommend for a stylish, quick trim!
