I recently purchased my first home in San Rafael, CA. The home needed lots of painting but the kitchen and the dining room needed more than paint. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I was concerned about finding the right contractor for me. Additionally, as a single woman it was important for me to find a contractor who I felt comfortable having in my home. I met with Tony for a free estimate and he spent a few hours going through the house with me and giving me ideas for improvement. He probably ended up doing a more thorough inspection than my home inspector did. I could tell that he paid attention to detail by the things that he noticed as we walked through the house. I felt comfortable with him. We discussed the price and the timeline and after getting a few other quotes I decided to hire him.
I consider myself to be a lucky person in general but I feel very lucky to have found Tony. My kitchen and dining room turned out beautifully and Tony helped me every step of the way. The cabinets were a dark ugly oak and Tony took them all apart, sanded and painted them a glossy white and installed new hardware. They look like brand new! Tony did the plumbing for the new sink and dishwasher, changed all the light switches and outlets and switched out the lighting in addition to all the painting in the kitchen. He was onsite when the new appliances and new countertops were installed and helped to ensure that everything went smoothly. In the dining room he installed new laminate floors and baseboards for significantly less than the price that Home Depot quoted to do the install. While he was onsite Tony helped me with numerous other things, like changing out all the locks and fixing a few pieces of broken furniture.
I’m very happy with the work and I’m looking forward to having him make more rooms in my house look as beautiful as the ones he’s already worked on. More importantly, I’m very happy to know that if something goes wrong at the house I can call someone as knowledgeable as Tony to help me figure out how to solve the problem.

I recently purchased an older townhouse in need of some TLC. As any smart homeowner would do, I did my research. I asked friends and coworkers for recommendations and I did research online and then got quotes from several different painting companies & contractors. When Anthony came by to do a simple quote he went above and beyond and spent time explaining what some of my options were and even made a few brilliant suggestions for colors in a room that I thought couldn’t handle a color other than white.
When I explained to him that I had a low tolerance for chemicals and preferred to be as green as possible (although I know little about it), he told me about the number of options in low VOC paints.
Then came the quote… I thought either I was reading it wrong or he had made an error. I could not believe how reasonable Anthony’s prices were. He was nearly 50% lower than 2 of the other quotes I had.
I immediately scheduled a start date for the project. Anthony (not a random day laborer) showed up on time (every day) and got right to work.
The first day on the job, Anthony called me on my cell to tell me he found some mold that had apparently been covered up by a previous paint job and a cleverly placed mirror. I was horrified! Anthony then quickly put my fears to rest and explained that he could remedy the situation (not just cover it up like the last guy). The mold has been completely eradicated, thanks to Anthony.
