Northern Pacific Roofing

Being one of I am sure hundreds of homeowners trying to get roofs replaced this ‘El Niño’ winter, I was amazed at how easy it was working with Northern Pacific Roofing. Once Mark Demushkin and I met, reviewed my project, options available and discussed exactly what was being done, it became seamless to me. I live in an HOA and they were already well aware of the stipulations needed, having worked on many homes in the area.
Mark suggested many options that would make my roof last longer and be more efficient in cooling the home (adding venting) which makes me happy. No other companies did this. Even during the times I was on a wait list for competition, Mark constantly kept me in the loop. When I did have a small leak, they came out and repaired it within one day. Even knowing that the whole roof was to be
replaced the very following week.
Armando who was the foreman of the crew, kept me informed of their progress and any issues that came up. Including the fact they discovered I have bats roosting in my chimney. He was a pleasure to deal with as was his crew. They were polite and respectful of my time working at home, my animals and my property. What impressed me was how clean they kept my yard even knowing they would be coming back the next day. I have a lot of plants around my home, none of which were damaged in any way.
I would highly recommend Northern Pacific Roofing. Their estimate was competitive, work was completed on time and communication was outstanding. They helped with some repairs that we hadn’t anticipated and made suggestion on others. Mark and Armando are great guys who I would absolutely recommend and would love to work with again. They exhibit Customer Service at its best. Thank you!

Mark Demushkin (Project Manager), Armando (Foreman) are the best! We spoke with several roofing companies but chose Northern Pacific as they were the most responsive, creative, thoughtful folks and were willing to help walk our HOA through the process as we evaluated our repair /​replacement options. As many others have mentioned, Mark is incredibly thorough, with great follow-​up and follow-​through.
Their work was also top notch, delivering on time and budget, with excellent communication throughout the process and ultimately moving up the schedule to squeeze us in before the rainy season arrived. I cannot recommend Mark and Armando enough — they are great people who know their business inside and out, even coming back on a Saturday to help me with a repair issue unrelated to their work! Armando and his team were fun, courteous, talented folks who made us feel 100% comfortable and stayed well beyond sunset to make sure the site was pristine after they completed the job.

In a year when no roofer would even take my call, these guys happily added me to the calendar, and had the job finished in time for wet weather. They were unfailingly pleasant, courteous, and helpful, and professional from beginning to end. I would not hesitate to call on them again for their services. Unreservedly recommended!

I had researched many roofing companies and personally met with 5. I cannot say enough positive things about Northern Pacific Roofing, and we are so happy we chose them. They were not the cheapest estimate we received and we have a tight budget, but you do get what you pay for and they were worth every penny. Mark Demushkin, the Project Manager, was nice and professional from beginning to end, and even followed up with us a few months later to make sure we were happy with everything. Mark and the owner Barry came out at least twice before we committed to the purchase, and their presentation stood out above all others and we were clear on what we were buying, what the different options were and how they can benefit us, all without pressure and the consistent experience that they truly cared. The crew was amazing, all very nice and tuned into us while working on the roof, and they got it done incredibly fast with their 10 person team working very hard. It was REALLY hot when they were installing the roof, so we kept water and soda on ice for them and they really appreciated it. Literally everyone was nice and to say we didn’t feel uncomfortable or like our privacy was compromised when there were 10 guys on your roof is pretty impressive. They also cleaned up the mess really well which was important to us. Since we had our new roof installed it has made a huge difference with our homes energy efficiency, obviously keeping our home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Not to mention that the roof really looks great. I will be recommending them to anyone I know who is need of roof repair or replacement.

Just had our roof replaced and these guys are awesome! We referred from some friends of ours who were equally as happy. From start to finish, they were professional, courteous and totally upfront about all costs. Mark Demushkin was the Project Manager and he made sure I understood every detail of the estimate before I made my decision. He answered every question I had and followed up without pressure to ensure we knew he was there to help. Once we signed the contract, Mark helped to stay within my budget. He did not force anything on the project that was not needed. His crew was outstanding. Our roof was in terrible shape and they had to do alot to fix it but Mark made sure I understood everything they were doing BEFORE they did it so that I would know what additional costs there would be. The crew was prompt and courteous to myself and my family. They were incredibly neat and made sure the area was cleaned up at the end of the day. They took the extra time to make sure the roof was exactly the way we wanted it. They started on a Wednesday morning and by Friday afternoon, I had a beautiful roof! Mark has already followed up to make sure everything is good. Not often do you have companies work on your home and you feel like they are taking the time and effort and care they would take on their own home — but we sure felt that way with these guys. I have already passed Mark’s business card along to friends and family.

These folks just completed a new roof on my 4000 ft.² house. Working with them was a pleasure. Their crews began at 730 sharp and stay till 530; once till 730 when it looked like rain. The roof is beautiful. The work was done on time and on budget.
I have frankly never worked with a construction crew that was so clearly pleased to be working for this company and who had so much fun cleaning up at the end of each day. The bid was reasonable, not cheap but the quality was superb. I will probably not need them again since there is a 50 year warranty on this roof but I would recommend them as highly as possible to anyone who wants a fine, professional job. Honestly, they do not come any better.

NPR just finished my roof and they did a fantastic job. Mark gave me a thorough estimate and carefully explained each part of it. NPR started on my roof exactly when they said they would. The roofing team was very professional and they were done in no time at all. I definitely recommend them.

I had gotten quotes from a few different local roofers prior to contacting Northern Pacific Roofing, as my house is in Windsor and I believe they are based out of Marin. I was after the Certainteed product line, specifically, and none of them were certified through Certainteed for their 50-​year manufacturer warranty.
Through a Google search and some Unilocal reviews I found NPR, which have gone through the process of being certified through not only Certainteed, but also GAF and Owens Corning. I thought to myself, «clearly if they go through the effort and expense of getting certified from all the top manufacturers, their work must be good».
I called and left a message for Patrick, who called me back the next day and came out to take a look at my house. Within two days of calling I had the quote in my hand. Since they do a lot of work down in Marin and the Bay Area, coupled with the fact that they had the certs the other local roofers did not, I was expecting it to be quite a bit higher. However, upon reviewing the quote I found them to be comparable. They were a bit higher than all the others, specifically on the gutters, but Patrick and the owner were willing to make a concession to come a bit closer to the other bids in order to get the job. I booked a date a week later…
The crew was professional and worked hard. There was hardly any banter, as they all knew exactly what needed to be done and you could tell they set deadlines and stuck to them. They found some dry rot and made sure to quote me before they replaced anything. Despite the dry rot repairs they still managed to complete the job on time.
One of the gutter guys must have stepped in some caulking and got it all over my patio. Patrick had his guy come back out the next day to clean it all at no charge.
The roof is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. Time will tell if it leaks (if we ever get another rainy winter) but I’d be surprised if it did. If it does, I’m sure NPR will be out to make it right in a timely fashion… plus, if any damage occurs Certainteed will cover the replacement costs due to the warranty and going through a certified roofer.

OMG! Mark really knows how to follow up. We had a leaky skylight, which of course no one knew until that horrible storm in December. I called every roofer on Unilocal,Mark came at 8:30 at night in the pouring rain, tarped the area and called me when the rain stopped with his estimate for repair. Not as bad as I expected, and good not to have a cold indoor shower,.

Loved working with this contractor! I called to get a quote on one of our projects in the area. Patrick came out took some measurements then we talked about the different types of solutions available our old roof. I received my bid the next day and we scheduled the work. Everything turn out on time and on budget! You can’t go wrong choosing these guys to do your roof work.

Northern Pacific Roofing was the best experience I have ever had with a «contractor». Not only did they respond right away, they really helped me understand the options available for a new roof, what I was paying for and why I was paying for it. I got 3 estimates and although theirs was not the lowest I felt I would get the most for my money using Northern Pacific. The team on site during the roofing installation was so polite and clean. They picked up and even fixed a couple of things for me. I liked them so much I recommended them to my neighbor down the street who also had the same experience as I did. Thank goodness I went for quality instead of price, the return on investment with the new roof is high. I got my money back because I was able to sell my home for $ 30m more than I would have without a new roof. I highly recommend Northern Pacific Roofing for all roofing needs.

I love our new roof. We had Patrick do the bid, and his is awesome! He told us which tiles he would recommend and which quality of tiles he would recommend and then he made an extra trip to bring us samples of the tiles so we could make sure they were what we wanted. (by the way he recommended the thinnest (least expensive) tiles for our roof, because in our case it didn’t make sense to go thicker.) He came out one day, and bid the next day.
Barry was head supervisor on our roof. He asked the right questions and made sure that I was clear on what needed to be replaced above the quote. He was extremely good at communicating with me.
The workers were excellent! No one enjoys having a crew of people pounding on ones roof, but they were fast, organized, friendly, and extremely clean. They were here four days (I have a very steep Tudor roof and I had them waterproof etc 45 solar stanchions and fix a dormer etc), every night they cleaned up completely.
I didn’t get quotes from other roofers because I was so impressed with Patrick, so I don’t know whether they were cheaper or more expensive than others. But I do know that they do excellent quality work, and in roofing this is very important. We had just spent the last 9 years calling out various roofers to fix what was supposed to be a 30 year roof, this won’t be a problem with Northern Pacific Roofing.

Unreliable. Unprofessional. The owner of Northern Pacific Roofing looked at my roof and discussed how he would replace gutters. He stated he would email his estimate. Twenty days later, I have still not received an estimate or a reply from Northern Pacific. Has not replied to the two phone messages I left with his answering service. No response to my two email either. Very unprofessional.

Average service. Mediocre quality of work. Inadequate estimate of work costs.

Just had our roof replaced by Northern Pacific Roofing. It seems to generally be an issue getting contractors to respond in a timely manner right now — I think everyone is pretty busy with the Marin real estate boom. We reached out to several companies for quotes and NPR had the best combination of pricing and communication. They did a great job, providing plenty of documentation (photos and explanation in laymen terms) when additional work was necessary and giving us multiple options at different price points. They were very understanding of our budget and gave us their honest opinion on necessary repairs versus «nice to do» improvements or fixes that could wait. I feel confident in the quality of their workmanship and their honesty and reliability as professionals.

We need gutters on our home. Based on other positive reviews we contacted Northern Pacific Roofing to get an estimate. Patrick and another gentleman came out to do an estimate about 3 weeks ago. As of yet we have not received an estimate or otherwise heard from Northern Pacific Roofing. Not communicating with us even if they didn’t want the job is unprofessional, unacceptable and most likely an indication of how the vendor will perform if hired.

These guys are fantastic! very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. The job is done on schedule, and the job site is always clean. The owner Barry is very fair, and takes personal interest in the job. Hopefully I will not need a roof now for quite a number of years, but if you need one, please call Northern Pacific you wont be sorry.

These guys are great, they have dove several jobs for me on my rentals and have always been very fair on the price and any extras that popped up once the roof was torn off. northern pacific roofing is by far the best roofing company i have done worked with, they have done several roof jobs for people i know and myself, super nice people that run the jobs, clean and get the job done correctly, the owner barry is a super nice guy and patrick is the nicest and best guy to get the job done-​well done northern pacific roofing
